본 연구에서는 청소년 현장에서 적용 가능한 소프트 스킬의 개념틀과 구성요인을 탐색하기 위하여 유럽연합(EU)에서 현재 대면서비스 현장에서 활용되고 있는 소프트 스킬의 개념틀을 적용하여 개발된 VHSM 척도의 타당도 검증을 청소년지도자를 대상으로 수행하였다. 소프트 스킬은 일정한 직무에 특정되지는 않지만, 작업을 성공적으로 수행할 수 있도록 뒷받침하는 지식, 기술, 태도, 가치 인식을 모두 포괄하는 개념이다. 대인관계기술 및 소통능력과 관련한 사회적 기술, 개인의 타고난 성격 특성이나 특질, 태도, 직업 적성, 감성지능 등을 모두 포괄하는 개념으로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 VHSM 소프트 스킬의 척도 타당도를 검증하기 위하여 임의표집방법으로 청소년지도자 441명을 대상으로 2021년 6월 10일부터 8월 30일까지 온라인 조사 및 오프라인 조사를 병행하였다. 조사지역은 6개 광역시와 3개 도에서 진행하였으며, 불성실하게 응답한 17명을 제외한 424명의 설문조사 자료를 최종분석에 활용하였다. 분석을 위하여 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 21.0 통계패키지를 활용하여 기술통계, 상관관계, 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, VHSM 소프트 스킬의 하위요인으로 사회적 기술, 성과달성, 내재적 업무탐색, 외재적 업무탐색의 4개 요인으로 추출되었으며, 모두 통계적 유의성을 확인하여 VHSM 소프트 스킬 구성요인이 청소년 현장에서도 중요하게 인식되고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 활용하여 청소년 현장에서 청소년지도자를 위한 한국형 소프트 스킬 척도의 개발을 위한 기초자료가 되기를 기대한다.

In this study, the construct validity of VHSM soft skills has been examined in order to develop the concept and components of soft skills that can be applied in the Korean context of youth work by adapting the conceptual framework used in the human service fields in the European Union countries. Soft skills are not specific to a particular job, but can be defined as a concept that encompasses all the knowledge, skill, attitude, and perception of value that may support one's successful performance in the professional fields. Soft skills can be understood as a concept that encompasses all social skills related to interpersonal skills and communication skills, an individual's natural personality characteristics or characteristics, attitude, and emotional intelligence. For the purposes of the study, online and offline surveys were conducted concurrently from June 10 to August 30, 2021, with 441 youth leaders using a convenient sampling method to verify the construct validity of the scale. Descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted using the SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 statistical packages. As a result, four subcategories of the VHSM soft skills were identified as follows: Social skills, achievement, intrinsic task search/navigating, and extrinsic task search/navigating. In addition, the modification made from the original scale was that task-search was classified as intrinsic vs. extrinsic task-search. And, the understanding of other/different cultures was a sub-factor of social skills in the original scale; however, it was classified as the achievement in this study. We may expect that the outcomes of this study be used as a pilot study for developing a soft skill scale for youth leaders in Korea.
