This study aimed to analyze the factors of the willingness of Chinese Korean learners to communicate in real-time online classes to find methods to improve it. To this end, the qualitative study used a focus diary technique to determine the changes in the willingness of Chinese Korean learners to communicate according to the method of real-time online and offline classes, and a quantitative survey was conducted on 125 Chinese Korean learners studying at three educational institutions in Seoul. The results revealed that Chinese Korean learners' willingness to communicate was influenced by affect, situational, and linguistic factors. The survey results will be used as fundamental material to proposeᅠa teaching and learning plan for understanding the factors affecting the willingness of Chinese Korean learners to communicate and increasing their willingness to communicate.

Self-disclosure is a verbal and nonverbal behavior through which individuals truthfully, sincerely and intentionally communicate novel, traditionally private information including thoughts and feelings about themselves to one or more individuals. People have personal and relationship-based motives for engaging in or refraining from self-disclosure. This study explores how people react when they are required to self-disclose but are unwilling to do so.
The drama “Gaetmaeul Chachacha” was analyzed as a source. Scenes for analysis were self-disclosure situations including follow-up questions and reactions, considering both verbal and nonverbal cues of hesitation.
Consequently, instances of self-disclosure were classified into five categories: accepting provided information, providing information (providing minimized information, providing reduced information, telling a white lie, and providing factual information), not providing information (closing the conversation, pretending to be indifferent, claiming incompetence, denying directly and indirectly), jointly searching for information, and delaying providing information.
Since self-disclosure relies strongly on relationships and mutual relationship perceptions may differ, interest in active self-disclosure should be constructively expanded to manage various self-disclosure aspects through self-disclosure decision-making.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of research related to Korean pragmatics from 1987 to 2021. A total of 610 studies were analyzed by text data, extracting topics and keywords with high potential associations over time by using topic modeling techniques. According to the analysis, the research on Korean pragmatics has improved, nearly tripling in number since the 2000s. In addition, the the analysis of the frequency of keyword “Korean pragmatics” showd that this topic has been studied with keywords such as “strategy”, “situation”, “expression”, “speaker”, “request”, and “refusal”. Results also confirmed that the research on Korean pragmatics has been conducted under the themes of “strategy of request and refusal”, “compliments, apologies, complaints, and politeness”, “grammar-related pragmatic” and “indirect conversation about pragmatic education”. On the basis of the results, this study makes the following suggestions. First, a study on the listener's understanding of dialogue act and various methods for teaching dialogue should be conducted. Second, the research methods for pragmatics should be diversified and not limited to discourse completion tasks. Third, when approaching the characteristics of Korean pragmatics, interdisciplinary research related to the adjacent linguistics field and various academic fields should be conducted.

This study analyzed the communication between the protagonists in the movie “Good Will Hunting”, to explore a possible therapeutic method based on the conversations depicted therein. In the movie, Will faces various psychological problems rooted in the childhood trauma he has experienced, and receives conversation-based trauma therapy from his counselor Sean. This paper illustrates the consistency between the process of trauma therapy and the stages of Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). The study divided Sean and Will's conversations into sections based on the four stages of AEDP, to determine the possible conversation strategy within each stage and analyze them for trauma therapy using the conversation method. In conclusion, the paper presents educational suggestions based on the conversation strategies that emerged in the dynamic psychotherapy process. These suggestions can be applied not only to trauma therapy, but also to conversations with strangers or hostile persons.
