This study explores the educational philosophical significance of the transformative competency set in the ‘Education 2030’. Transformative competency can be interpreted as the ability of students to create new values while living their lives on their own initiative. Discussing Nietzsche’s writings about the importance of the power to create values, we can summarize the process of the manifestation of this power as affirmation of contingency, self affirmation, and sovereign individual.
Nietzsche’s idea also suggests the educational philosophical significance of transformative competency as affirmation of the contingency of life, constant self transformation, and the realization of being a master of one’s own life. Through these considerations, this study explores the educational philosophical significance of transformative competency and agency, and proposes the direction of the competency approach in education.

This study aimed to elucidate the process of enshrining Kyuam Song In-su at Gyulim Seowon and its educational significance. As a result of the study, Kyuam Song in-su's appointment and resignation as Jeju governor and the resulting exile in Sacheon were all the result of criticizing Kim An-ro(金安老). Also, through enshrining Song In-su, it was confirmed that he was not only respected by the descendants of the EunJin-Song family. After Song In-su was enshrined in the Seowon, the state officially recognized Gyulim Seowon. Also, in terms of the history of education in Jeju, by enshrining Song In-su in the Seowon, he took on the role of the spiritual teacher of Jeju Yurim.

The purpose of this study is to find an answer to the question, 'How does a qualitative action occur at the point where an idea emerges and is expressed during an experience' in design thinking education.
Chapter II looked at the concept of design thinking. Design thinking is not just a professional area for making good products. Everyone has an important meaning as an aesthetic experience, a meaningful experience through selection and organization of experiences passing by in their surroundings.
Chapter III examined the concept of qualitative thinking. Qualitative thinking is not knowledge that is rationally felt about a single situation, but thinking that integrates the whole situation.
Chapter IV analyzed the qualitative thinking inherent in design thinking. In Section 1, Imagination and Quality describes the process of idea generation. In Section 2, Insights and Qualitative, I have described where ideas are derived.
The purpose of this study is to find out how the qualitative action takes place at the point where ideas are generated and expressed during an experience, so that students can demonstrate their outstanding problem-solving skills in their own problem situations. You can find its significance in the fact that you found it.

This study is to examine the educational possibilities to exist as oneself, focusing on Kierkegaard's concept of anxiety. This was a concern about the implications of our education for individuals in the COVID-19 era, which was centered on disconnected human relations and non-face-to-face activities.
The process of finding oneself was identified as 'existential self-dialect', and the process was reorganized into three stages, that is, existence/awareness, anxiety/acceptance, and comprehensiveness/dialect. The state of insanity without a sense of self-existence had distorted satisfaction, 'no consciousness' of subject and immortality, and indirect delivery was used to wake it up. Anxiety was accepted as evidence of freedom to relate to oneself, and the synthesis was completed by dialectic of the heterogeneous elements within oneself. In addition, educational distancing and education as an existential dialogue were suggested as implications for Korean education through 'education with anxiety of possibility.'

Based on the principles of education consistent with Emile, this article aims to shed light on Rousseau's infancy and childhood education theory from the point of view of the development of reason, and attempt to present Rousseau's infancy and childhood education philosophy from the point of view of reason. One important axis of Rousseau's theory of education is that it is developed in relation to the development of reason. Of course, Rousseau must have been a thinker who criticized the misleading and dysfunction of reason, he was also well aware of the importance of the role of reason than anyone else, and he was a thinker who tried to develop each individual into a human being with good judgment and exercising his or her own reason in his educational theory. With this in mind, Rousseau's infancy and childhood education philosophy should be discussed. Although Rousseau's infancy and childhood education places the development of the body and sensory organs in the center, such a content approach should be guided by Rousseau's infancy and childhood education philosophy, which implies the development of 'reason' in a broad sense including sensory reason. Needless to say, what is needed first in Rousseau's infancy and childhood education is to secure Rousseau's infancy and childhood education philosophy.

This paper concerns on the concept of happiness that can be accepted as an educational value. For this three tasks have been taken to examine. Firstly, what is the demarcation of happiness that involves the total and hedonic conceptions but excludes the capricious ones and so-called pig-happiness, so that happiness is to be a state of mind. Also the concept of happiness has been regarded as the best state of mind such as apatheia and ataraxia. Even though the concept is taken negatively as the Romanticists asserted, the positive account should be taken seriously.
Secondly, it has been examined whether the concept of happiness as an educational aim can be justified or not. Behind the Romanticism on happiness, the concept has been regarded as an ideal so that happiness seeking education can be fallen into some serious defects as non-realistic in the educational institutions.
Thirdly, it has tried to set up the criteria for examining the validity of happiness when we take it into account in the educational context. According to MaFall's three conceptions such as contentment, affirmation and justified affirmation ones, we can pick some crucial defects from happiness seeking education and then establish the concept of 'Being a Person' that implies the meta-volition of 'happy person.'

The purpose of this study is to build the mutually existing and peaceful community by cultivating each man's mind based on Wonhyo's self concept and self-realization theory. Wonhyo views man's self as the synthesized unity of simjinyeomoon and simsaengmyeolmoon. Simjinyeomoon means the mind and soul of the whole cosmos. Simsaengmyeolmoon means the mind and soul of the individual. The former can be compared to the whole sea itself and the latter can be compared to each wave itself. Self itself can enter the smallest thing as well as can cover the largest thing and the rest remains. From this point of view, man can be expanded to the cosmos and participate in the operation of the world in harmony with the universe. The process of the self realization is as follows. The first stage is to know the original essence of the universe and the relation between the cosmos and self itself. The second stage is to make the absolute resolution to improve the self to the apex. The third stage is to observe the rigid commandments. The fourth stage is to know the principles of the self-realization. The fifth stage is to know the obstacles in the process. The sixth stage is to understand the steps of the self-realization. There are three methods of the self realization. The first is to recognize the theory and practice the theory beyond every boundary in everyday life. The second is to drill the absolute quietness and the wisdom at the same time. The third is to borrow the help from the Almighty Gods.

This thesis aims at interpret the moral education based on Dewey's empiricism. The success of moral education can be improved by moral classes at school and by moral teachers and the overall atmosphere of schools. School is the original form of communal living and moral training should be in line with this idea. Moral principle is not the condition for moral actions. Classes are a way which make children understand social structure. A curriculum that is designed to such integrated and wholistic goals can be construted to improve intellectual growth and moral education. Dewey's moral educational methodology is a constructivist education. The psychological part of moral education can be summed up as character and habit; not only intellectual judgement but also personal delicate emotional empathy is necessary.

The purpose of this study is to examine Paulo Freire's book and reveal the dignity that appears in his human view.
This researcher discussed Freire's view of human being on subjective being, incomplete being, and community being. His view of human beings contained human dignity. In Chapter II, it was discussed that human is both subjective and objective being. The human dignity contained in this view of human being was identified as 'autonomy as a subjective human being'. In Chapter III, it was examined that incomplete human is not a determined being, but a changeable being in the process of becoming. From this point of view, human dignity was identified as a proxy participating in unverified possibilities, not as the achievement of “the possibility of a dignified life.” In Chapter IV, it was reviewed that community humans could not exist apart from the world and exist in constant interaction. Based on this understanding of humans, it was found that human dignity lied in ethics as an obligation.

Rancière's school theory based on the intellectual emancipation can be found in forme-école of leisure, free play, and intellectual equality, which could not be represented in the modern school. On the one hand, the space of intellectual emancipation will allow students to have an aesthetic experience and to present partage du sensible through indifferent judgment of taste. On the other hand, it will make them live as political agents in a democratic space, raising an objection to “police” through their “parole”. This intellectual emancipation community, that enables the subjectivation of “oneness” which is the “relationship between self and others,” will be an attractive reference frame when trying to reflect on established schools that are not unrelated to “inequality”.

This study aims to analyze the shape and meaning of 'gyo(敎: jiao)' on the Oracle Bone Inscriptions and attempt to suggest a new meaning of it by reviewing the existing understanding based on the interpretation of Shuowen jiezi(說文解字) by Xu, Shen(許愼). Especially, considering that the shape of 'bok(攴)' is similar to or identical to 'bu(父)', a new concept of 'gyo(敎)' can be employed. 'Gyo(敎)' in the general meaning currently used has a strong aspect of 'teaching children[learners] facing the real world by caning.' However, according to the shape of the Oracle Bone Inscriptions, if the right part of 'gyo(敎)', 'bok(攴)' is understood as 'bu (父)' instead of 'bok(攴)', the political and educational situation of the Sang Dynasty can be applied. In other words, if 'gyo(敎)' is interpreted as 'hyo(爻) + ja(子) + bu(父)', according to the attributes of 'bu(父)', the meaning might be enlarged to the 'education involving leaders who govern the country participate.' Rather than the form of admonishing with corporal punishment or imposing coercionon learners, it can be confirmed that the teaching of various aspects by sikyoja(施敎者: teachers) was the original concept of education.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the educational significance of Übermensch as the ideal human character appeared in 『Also sprach Zarathustra』 of Nietzsche. Übermensch, the ideal human being shown in 『Also sprach Zarathustra』, has the following educational significance as a person who is able to create new values through serious reflection on his life and self-overcoming.
First of all, Übermensch as a creative being makes people realize the importance of self-reflection and promotes change and growth of the mind so that they can live a life of thinking. Also, Übermensch as a being who overcomes himself enables learners to live an active life by letting them know how to love their own destiny, and Übermensch as a being who realizes a Dionysian positive life has an attitude of life that accepts the world with an open mind by affirming all beings that it creates. Furthermore, Übermensch, as a being who lives a life of joy with a spirit of freedom, enables sickly modern people to become artists of life with spontaneity and adventurous spirit and live a healthy life. However, despite this educational significance, the concept of Übermensch is interpreted in a wide and diverse way, making it difficult to materialize the ideal human image to the educational field. Even morality is interpreted differently depending on the actors, and there is a limit that causes value confusion.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the fundamental problems that occur when implementing moral education in early childhood. First, the moral education targeting children, who has not yet reached the stage of having reason, trains the 'body' to achieve 'reason' as the ultimate goal. This is because, if early childhood is simply proficient in cultivating the 'body', it is difficult to acquire a new attitude to follow 'reason' when they reach the stage of acquiring reason. Second, although early childhood with an element of unreasonable emotion tends to be prone to mimesis whenever they see a vice, early childhood is accustomed not to 'mimesis' the vice. Teachers can prevent developing bad habits in early childhood, if possible, by not showing vice and restraining them whenever early childhoods see and imitate vice. And teachers can develop good 'habits' by seeing virtues and praising them whenever children mimesis them.
