Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the interpretation of Banhasasim-tang (BHSST) prescription in order to obtain the traditional significance.
Methods : We have analyzed the interpretation on the BHSST prescription through translations and comparisons based on classic books about the oriental medical prescriptions.
Results :
1. The source of BHSST in Donguibogam (東醫寶鑑) is Sanghanron (傷寒論) and Geumgueyoryak (金匱要略) etc.
2. Meaning of “Banhasasim (半夏瀉心)” in the BHSST name, the word “Banha” is one of the herb which palys a role as a Monarch herb (君藥) in BHSST, the word “Sa” means a function to penetrate and eliminate a disorder, and the word “Sim” means an epigastrium in the area below the heart organ and it doesn't mean a heart organ itself.
3. The effect of BHSST is penetrating and eliminating focal distention and fullness in the epigastrium to normalize the function of a gastrointestinal tract (脾胃機能).
4. According to wide range of symptom, BHSST can be utilized in various ways by adding or subtracting herbs.
Conclusions : In this study, we have demonstrated various methodologies. This paper will be useful to the future researchers and clinicians to conduct a study on herbal medicines such as BHSST.

Objective : This study was conducted to the literature review on prevention and management with Atopic dermatitis.
Method : By using a domestic and foreign database, this study found eligible research to study. Total 56 d were included.
Results : By analyzing studies, there are several guidelines mentioned frequently. Do not eat an allergic food but vegetable and fruit. Apply a moisturizer periodically. Take a warm bath but do not use irritant cleansers like soap. Do not contact with tough fabric. Keep temperature and moisture appropriate and eliminate allergens. Stress should be managed well .Exercise is recommended if it does not make you sweat.
Conclusion : There are many but unproven guidelines. To prove the guidelines, additional research is essential.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Hwangryunhaedok-tang pharmacopuncutre on frequent awakening in a 46-year-old female patient who has insomnia.
Methods : Patient was treated with Hwangryunhaedok-tang pharmacopuncture on eleven acupoints including GV20, right BL66, ST44, SI5, ST41 and both GB20, GB21 BL15. Patient's quality of sleep was assessed by Korean version of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI-K), Korean Sleep Scale (KSS), and Sleep Diary. The treatment was executed once per day between July 6-10, 2017.
Results : After five treatment sessions, PSQI-K score changed from 12 to 17, mean value of KSS changed from 20 to 29 and mean value of sleep efficiency changed from 28 to 40.
Conclusions : The result suggest that Hwangryunhaedok-tang pharmacopuncture can be a valuable option to relieve insomnia.

Objectives : To report a case of patient with neuromyelitis optica who treated with Korean Medicine treatment for 2years
Methods : The patients with neuromyelitis optica was treated with acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, Bee venom, electroacupuncture, moxibustion and herbal medicine for 2 years. Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS), sensory, motor grade, and visual acuity were checked to measure the outcome.
Results : EDSS, sensory, motor grade and visual acuity of the patient improved. The symptoms briefly deteriorated due to the recurrence in June 2018 but did not leave sequelae.
Conclusions : The patient with neuromyelitis optica was treated for2 years with Korean Medicine and the treatment was effective relieving the symptoms of the patient.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Laser acupuncture (LA) on headache caused by Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome (RHS).
Methods : A 57-year-old female patient finishing antiviral-steroid therapy suffered from headaches caused by RHS. She had already been treated with Korean Medicine (KM) to improve her immunity and enhance her recovery, so laser acupuncture was added to the KM treatment to control her headache. LA was carried out once per day between June 18-25, 2018. The treatment effect was assessed by Korean Headache Impact Test-6 (Korean HIT-6), Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Headache diary.
Results : After five treatment sessions, Korean HIT-6 score decreased from 70 to 48, VAS score decreased from 3.5 to 0.3, and the headache area also decreased.
Conclusions : The results suggest that LA may be a good choice as an KM intervention for pain controlling in RHS headache.
