오늘의 팬데믹과 제4차 산업혁명의 초연결 사회의 실상을 대변하는 온라인 시대는 필연적으로 대면 사회에서 경험하는 공동체성을 상당 부분 희석하게 할 가능성이 크고, 나아가 팬데믹의 장기화로 인한 신앙생활 만족도 하락에 더하여, 결과적으로 공동체로서의 교회의 특성이 위협받게 하며 성도 수의 감소 현상도 함께 겪게 할 가능성을 배제하지 못할 것이다. 이 글에서 우리는 이전과는 완전히 다른 팬데믹과 온라인 시대에 공동체로서의 교회가 영적 생명력을 어떻게 유지 및 증진할 수 있을 것인지, 교회는 이전과는 완전히 다른 성격의 공동체 곧 '온라인 공동체' 문화에 대비한 교회론을 재구축할 필요성에 대해 논의한다.
그것의 구체적인 실천 방안으로서 교회의 공동체성을 가장 잘 구현시킨 미국의 세이비어 교회를 모델로 하여 우리는 팬데믹과 온라인 시대에 영적인 생명력을 잃지 않을 시스템을 찾아본다. 세이비어 교회는 성화 공동체로서 내적인 신앙의 여정과 외적인 실천 여정의 변증법적 연합의 삶을 내재화한 21세기의 대표적인 교회이다. 이 교회에서 교회의 공동체성 확보의 항구적인 원리와 실제가 발견되는 것은 물론, 팬데믹과 온라인 시대를 맞이한 오늘의 교회도 이 교회를 모델로 하여 영적인 생명력을 견고하게 다질 수 있다. 그리하여 우리나라 교회도 내적인 성화 공동체를 이루면서도 외적인 사회 봉사와 섬김을 동시에 실현하여 교회 공동체성을 실제화함으로써 영적 생명력을 유지하고 강화시킬 수 있다.

The online era, which represents today's pandemic and the reality of the hyper-connected society of the 4th industrial revolution, inevitably dilutes the sense of community experienced in face-to-face society, and furthermore, the religious life caused by the prolonged pandemic makes the decrease in satisfaction, as a result, the character of the church as a community is threatened and the possibility of experiencing a decrease in the number of members cannot be excluded. In this article, we discuss how the church as a community can maintain and promote spiritual vitality in a completely different pandemic and online era, and prepare the church for a culture of an 'online community', a community with a completely different character than before. There is a need to reconstruct an ecclesiology.
As a concrete action plan, we look for a system that will not lose its spiritual vitality in the era of pandemic and online, modeled on the Savior Church in the United States which best embodies the communality of the church. The Savior Church is a representative church of the 21st century that internalizes a life of dialectical union between the inward journey of faith and the outward practical journey as a sanctifying community. In this church, the lasting principles and practices of securing the church's communality are discovered, as well as today's churches in the era of pandemic and online can strengthen their spiritual vitality by using this church as a model. Thus, the Korean church can maintain and strengthen the spiritual vitality by realizing the church's communal nature by simultaneously realizing external social service while forming an internal sanctifying community.

츠빙글리가 직면했던 재세례파는 츠빙글리가 주도하였던 소그룹성경 공부 모임이었던 “예언모임”에서 기원하였다. 콘라드 그레벨과 펠릭스 만츠를 중심으로 하는 스위스 형제단은 성서적 아나뱁티스들이었으며 온건한 재세례파라고 할 수 있다. 1523년 10월 삼일에 걸쳐 개최된 2차 공개토론회는 재세례파 운동의 태동과 밀접한 연관이 있다. 이른바 “10월 논쟁”을 통해 재세례파 제자들은 스승인 츠빙글리에게서 일종의 영적인 괴리감과 배신감을 느끼게 되었다. 1525년 1월에 개최된 3차 공개토론회는 유아세례에 대해 토론하였는데 토론회는 츠빙글리의 승리로 끝났고 이 3차 공개토론회를 통해 츠빙글리와 그의 제자들인 재세례파가 적대하며 분열하는 결정적인 계기가 되었다.
유아세례 문제와 관련된 츠빙글리와 그의 제자들 사이의 분리의 과정을 되짚어볼 필요가 있다. 1523년 7월 츠빙글리는 1차 논쟁에 제출하였던 “67개 논제에 대한 해설”을 발간하여 자신의 개혁 프로그램에 대해 상세하게 설명하였다. 이 가운데 마지막 67번째 논제에서 츠빙글리는 이자와 십일조 그리고 유아세례에 대해 논하고 있다. 하지만 본격적으로 유아세례가 문제가 된 것은 1525년 1월 3차 논쟁에서였는데 츠빙글리과 그의 반대자들 사이의 논쟁은 일방적이었다. 3차 논쟁 후 츠빙글리와 재세례파 제자들의 대결은 극단으로 치우쳐 비극적인 결말에 이르게 된다. 재세례파와의 대결에서 츠빙글리의 주된 관심은 어떤 면에서 세례 자체 보다는 재세례파의 과격한 주장이 종교개혁에 미칠 영향이었다. 국가로부터 교회를 분리해서 생각할 수 없는 상황에서 유아세례 문제는 매우 중요한 문제였을 것이다. 하지만 국가로부터의 교회의 자유가 일반적으로 인정을 받는 시대라고 한다면 유아세례의 문제에 대한 토론은 다소 달라지지 않을 수 없을 것이다.

The Anabaptists that Zwingli had encountered originated from the “Prophecy Meeting,” a small group of Bible studies led by Zwingli. Conrad Grebel and Felix Mantz were the central figures of the Swiss Brethren. It was biblical anabaptists and can be said to be moderate anabaptists. The second public debate held on October 3, 1523 is closely related to the beginning of the anabaptist movement. Through the so-called “October Controversy,” the anabaptist disciples felt a kind of spiritual disparity and betrayal in their teacher Zwingli. The third public debate held in January 1525 discussed infant baptism, which ended with Zwingli's victory. And this third public debate served as a decisive opportunity for Zwingli and his disciples, the anabaptists, to antagonize and divide.
We have to look back on the process of separation between Zwingli and his disciples related to the issue of infant baptism. In July 1523, Zwingli published “Explanation on 67 topics” submitted to the first debate and explained his reform program in detail. Among them, in the last 67th thesis, Zwingli discusses interest, tirade, and infant baptism. However, it was in the third debate in January 1525 that infant baptism became a problem in earnest, and the debate between Zwingli and his opponents was unilateral. After the third debate, the confrontation between Zwingli and the disciples of the baptism was biased to extremes, leading to a tragic ending. Zwingli's main interest in the confrontation with the anabaptists was in some ways the radical argument of the anabaptists rather than the anabaptists themselves influenced Reformation. The issue of infant baptism would have been a very important issue in a situation where the church could not be thought of separately from the state. However, if it is an era in which church freedom from the state is generally recognized, the discussion on the issue of infant baptism will inevitably change somewhat.

본 논문은 그리스도의 속죄의 범위라는 주제에 나타나는 충분성과 유효성의 도식을 다룬다. 이 도식을 통해 다버넌트와 칼빈의 신학이 서로 연결될 수 있는지를 살핀다. 이 부분에 있어서 칼빈의 신학과 다버넌트의 신학이 동질(同質)의 것인지 어떤지를 토론한다. 또한 다버넌트의 충분성과 유효성의 도식에서 발생되는 모순을 그가 어떻게 해결하는지를 살피고, 그의 해결책과 칼빈의 관점이 동질의 것인지를 논의하고자 한다. 리처드 멀러는 충분성과 유효성의 도식 안에서 다버넌트와 칼빈을 연결시키며, 두 사람의 견해가 동일하다고 말하는데, 이를 심도 있게 살펴봄으로써 두 사람의 견해가 어떤지를 밝히고자 한다.

Richard A. Muller connects Davenant and Calvin in the schema of sufficiency and efficacy, and says that the views of the two are the same. 본 소고는 위르겐 몰트만과 미로슬라브 볼프에 의해 주도된 '기쁨의 신학(Theology of Joy)'의 근본적인 담론을 배경으로, 본회퍼의 신학을 '기쁨'이라는 주제로 재구성하는데 목적이 있다. 슬픔 속에서 절규하는 인간은, 고통의 무게를 벗어나기 위한 임시적이며 하나님이 부재한 인간적 기쁨(tob)을 추구하는 것이 아니라, 하나님의 임재와 하나님의 함께하심의 기쁨을 소원해야 한다. 본회퍼의 관점에서 그 길은 오직 예수 그리스도를 통한 하나님과의 공동체적 관계를 회복하는 길 밖에 없다. 몰트만의 관점에서 하나님의 함께 하심은, 고통 속에서 거짓 기쁨이 아니라 절망 속에서 희망이며, 죽음보다 크신 예수 그리스도의 참 생명이다. 타락이전 아담의 기쁨을 회복하는 길은 오직 예수 그리스도를 통해서만 가능하다. 그러한 공동체적 기쁨, 교회론적 기쁨으로 슬픔과 고통 속에 처한 인간은 다시 참 기쁨을 소유할 수 있다. 이러한 의미에서 몰트만의 기쁨의 신학은, 본회퍼에게 교회론적 기쁨이라는 주제로 함양된다. 그 기쁨은 타락한 인간의 기쁨(tob)이 아니라, 예수 그리스도를 통해 하나님께서 허락하시는 하나님께 속한, 하나님의 기쁨이다. 몰트만은 종말론적 기쁨을, 본회퍼는 교회론적 기쁨을 말했다. 몰트만은 기쁨의 희망을, 본회퍼는 교회의 기쁨을 논했다. 두 신학자의 기쁨의 담론의 중심에 바로 예수 그리스도가 있다. 예수 그리스도는 기쁨의 희망이며, 교회의 기쁨을 이끄시는 주관자이시다. 기쁨의 희망은 희망의 기쁨을, 교회의 기쁨은 기쁨의 교회를 창조한다. 많은 이들이 고통 받고 있는 코로나 시대에 예수 그리스도의 성육신과 십자가와 부활의 '기쁨의 희망'은 '희망의 기쁨'을 끊임없이 생성하고, '교회의 기쁨'은 '기쁨의 교회'를 지금, 여기에 설립한다. 코로나로 인해 많은 사람들이 고통 받고 있는 시대에, 예수 그리스도는 희망의 기쁨, 기쁨의 교회로 현존하시며, 타자를 위한 고통의 자리로 그리스도인들을 초청하신다. 그곳에 세상의 고통과 슬픔보다 훨씬 크신 '하나님의 기쁨'이 있다.

This study aims to reorganize Bonhoeffer's theology on the topic of “joy” against the backdrop of the fundamental discourse around “Theology of Joy” led by Jürgen Moltmann and Miroslav Volf. Man crying out in sorrow should wish for the joy of being with God as well as his presence rather than seeking after temporary human joy(tob) with the absence of God to escape from the weight of pain. In Bonhoeffer's viewpoint, the only way is to restore the community relationship with God through Jesus Christ. In Moltmann's viewpoint, God's being with man represents hope amid despair instead of fake joy amid pain and also the true life of Jesus Christ that is bigger than death. Man can restore Adam's joy before his depravity only through Jesus Christ. Man can own his true joy amid sorrow and pain through such community joy and ecclesiological joy. In this sense, Moltmann's Theology of Joy is cultivated by the topic of ecclesiological joy for Bonhoeffer. The joy is not the joy of corrupt man, but God's joy that he approves and belongs to him through Jesus Christ. Moltmann talked about eschatological joy, and Bonhoeffer did about ecclesiological joy. The former discussed the hope of joy, and the latter did the joy of church. There is Jesus Christ at the center of the two theologians' joy discourse. Jesus Christ represents the hope of joy and is the host to lead the joy of church. The hope of joy creates the joy of hope, and the joy of church creates the church of joy. In the COVID-19 era when many people are suffering, Jesus Christ's incarnation, cross, and “hope of joy” of resurrection continues to produce the “joy of hope,” and the “joy of church” sets up the “church of joy” here and now. Today, many people are in pain due to the coronavirus. Jesus Christ is present among people as the joy of hope and the church of joy and invites Christians to the place of pain for others. There is “God's joy” that is much bigger than the pain and sorrow of the world at the place.

헤르만 바빙크는 개혁교의학과 개혁파 윤리학이라는 대작을 통해 최고의 개혁신학자 군에 속하는 것으로 인정받고 있다. 그의 신학은 방대하고, 난해하여 전문적인 연구자들의 연구 대상으로 여겨지고, 목회자들이나 일반 신자들에게는 기피 대상이 되는 감이 있다. 하지만 바빙크는 교회를 사랑했고, 교회를 위해 신학을 했던 신학자였다는 것을 우리는 기억해야 한다. 본고에서 그와 같은 교회의 신학자로서 바빙크의 특징을 살펴보았다. 먼저 배경을 제시했고, 이어서 1883년에 행한 그의 깜쁜 신학교 교수 취임 연설문을 분석 개관해 보았다. 28세의 바빙크는 짧은 취임 연설문 속에서 개혁신학의 원리, 대상 그리고 목적에 대해 잘 서술해 주고 있다. 19세기 자유주의적이고, 자연과학주의적인 세계관에 맞서 바빙크는 성경 중심적이고, 하나님 중심적이며, 교회 중심적인 학문으로서의 신학이 가능함을 잘 보여주었다.

Generally speaking, nowadays, Herman Bavinck is well recognized as one of the best Reformed theologians because of his magnum opus Reformed Dogmas. Because his theology is vast and complicated, it is in the spotlight as an object of professional study, but tends to be ignored by general readers. But we must remember that Bavinck loved the church, and he was a theologian who did theology for the church. In this paper, we examined the characteristics of Bavinck as a theologian for the reformed church. I first provided background, followed by an analysis and overview of his 1883 inaugural address for a seminary professor. In his brief inaugural address, the 28-year-old Bavinck does a good job of describing the principle, object, and purposes of Reformed theology. Confronting the liberal, naturalistic worldview of the 19th century, Bavinck demonstrated the potential of theology as a Biblecentered, God-centered, and church-centered science(wetenschap).

토대주의(foundationalism)는 의심할 수 없이 확실한 믿음이 존재하며, 지식은 자체적으로 정당화된 그 자명한 믿음에 기초하여 추론적으로 구성된다고 본다. 칼 바르트(Karl Barth)와 앨빈 플란팅가(Alvin Plantinga)의 사상 속에는 그러한 토대주의적인 요소가 존재한다. 그러나 그러한 토대주의는 지식이 이론에 의존하여 만들어지기 때문에 인식론적 정당성을 갖지 못한다. 인식론적 이분법을 은밀히 보여주는 토대주의를 극복하기 위해 우리는 신과 주체 사이에 성경을 두는 고든 스파이크만(Gordon Spykman)의 신학과 같은 후기 토대주의적인 신학들에 관심을 기울여야 한다. 이 논문은 초월적인 토대주의자(transcendent foundationalist) 바르트나 내재적인 토대주의자(immanent foundationalist)인 슐라이어마허와는 달리 후기 토대주의적인 합리성(postfoundationalist rationality)에 근거하여 성경적 신 인식론을 정당화 하고자 한다.

According to foundationalism, there is an undubitablely self-justified belief, and knowledge is constructed from such an epistemological foundation inferentially. Karl Barth and Alvin Plantinga shows such foundational elements in their theology. But, such a foundationalism has no epistemological justification, because knowledge is theoryladen fundamentally. We should pay attention to postfoundationalist theologies such as the theology of Gordon Spykman which puts the Bible between God and subject in order to overcome the foundationalism that covertly asserts an epistemological dichotomy. Based upon the postfoundationalist rationality, this essay tries to justify an epistemology of God through the Bible, not through the objectivistic word of God(transcendent foundationalists like Barth) and the subjectivistic human experience(immanent foundationalists like Schleiermacher).
