이 연구의 목적은 부모의 양육태도와 교육지원활동이 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 광양지역 초등학생 214명을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 통해 초등학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도, 교육지원활동, 자기주도 학습능력간의 관계를 검증하고, 부모의 양육태도와 교육지원활동이 자기주도 학습능력이 미치는 영향력을 비교 분석하였다. 연구결과 부모의 양육태도와 교육지원활동이 긍정적이고 활발할수록 자녀의 자기주도 학습능력이 높게 나타났으며, 초등학교 자녀의 자기주도 학습능력에 부모의 양육태도보다는 교육지원활동이 더 많은 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였다. 이에 따라 초등학생의 자기주도학습능력 증진을 위한 부모의 양육태도와 교육지원활동에 대한 교육점 시사점을 제시하였다. 이 연구는 기존 선행연구를 통해 제시되지 않았던 초등학생의 자기주도 학습능력에 영향을 미치는 가정환경 변인인 부모의 양육태도와 교육지원활동 요인을 비교하여 분석하였다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
Self-directed learning skills are acquired through learning rather than by nature, which can be acquired throughout the entire life, but it is very important to be addressed in school age. In particular, the cognitive thinking ability is expanded rather than the childhood and the early elementary school years, where parent's influence is accepted without filtration, and the elementary school senior who begins to explore their own path, is considered to be an important time to develop their own ability to solve their own problems through self-directed learning.
In particular, among the factors affecting self-directed learning skills, the government intends to analyze the impact of these two factors on self-directed learning skills, considering the home environment factors as parenting attitudes and educational support activities. To that end, the survey looked at the relationship between parents' attitude, education support activities and self-directed learning abilities that elementary school students were late for, and analyzed the impact of parent's attitude and educational support activities on their own.
As a result, the positive and active parenting attitude and education support activities showed that children's self-directed learning skills were higher, and in addition, the self-directed learning ability of elementary school children had more impact on education support activities than parent's.
This study is meaningful because no previous study examined the relationship between parenting attitudes and educational support activities, and it is meaningful that the study examined the relationship between the two factors and analyzed the parent's attitude and educational support activities together with the parent's self-directed learning abilities of elementary school students. We hope that if we analyze the variables that affect a child's self-directed learning ability at various levels through follow-up research, we will find more practical and abundant implications than in terms of school education and national policy.
