The fundamental characteristic of photography, which always requires an object, is tied to the routine and repetitive human action of first confirming one’ s own existence through the existence of others, especially in the category of object individual.
In this thesis, I would like to look back on two works from the artist’s point of view based on the recognition that a human being is always connected with others, the value of existence is formed, and is an independent and interdependent existence. It deals with the visualization of the unconscious revealed in the performance process of the work, the recognition of new senses discovered through the act of non-routine physical contact with others, and the results of the image consciously formed as a participant.
This project was realized with the invitation by the Macval (MAC/VAL - musée d’art contemporain Val-de-Marne), a contemporary art museum in Vitry-sur-Seine, France in conjunction of commemorating the 130th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and France. It contains information about the background and process of the production of the realized work. In addition, I would like to describe the possibility of new artistic expression discovered through the process of this project, which was produced while traveling between France and Korea during the project period.
By introducing the conception background and process of the two works The Weight(2016) and Most Beautiful(2016), it is not a directing for an image, but an example of the possibility of expressing an image through real experience and imagination, giving researchers and artists a new perspective on the photographic medium.

This study using eyetracker analyzed gaze movement with a certain purpose of showing two photographic images together and selecting a preferred image through them. For this purpose, it can be seen that the left and right images are checked through the saccard movement for a quick time. First, in the case of men and women, when the same image is shown, in general, the preferences are similar, but in the case of specific images, it was confirmed that such preferences may differ. This difference in preference is analyzed as a tendency according to likes and dislikes. It can be concluded that certain differences in preferences between men and women are generally similar, but clearly occur in the case of certain images. The relationship between the first image and preference was examined. In the case of staring at an image, there was a weak tendency to prefer the image that was stared at first, but it occurred. For men, it was 55.23%, and for women, it was 55.9%. The relationship between intensively viewed images and preference is as follows. The correlation between the image with a high heatmap and preference was consistently high in influence, with 73.46% for men and 72.69% for women. The implications as a producer through these indicators are as follows. First, it is necessary to discover factors that can have a certain influence on image preference according to men and women. In addition, you should be able to analyze the factors that your gaze first sees and reflect them in the production. Also, it takes advantage of the fact that there is a certain relationship between image preference and intensive viewing depending on the length of the viewing time. In other words, it opens the possibility that the first photo you see and see for a long time is the photo with high preference.

This paper keeps a comparative observation of the visual Chinese and Western media coverage of the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement in Hong Kong. Building on previous studies of news framing and visual framing, this paper looks into how the same political media event is covered in different ways among media cultures and explores the visual frame for the media event involving protests and geopolitics, revealing how the media frame political publicity strategies for visual coverage. For the public, being aware of the means by which news images are constructed helps to provide the tools to eliminate the false and retain the true in the media society. It is also helpful for the public to learn how to prevent themselves from being drawn into political intentions constructed by the media and to maintain rational thinking in the public sphere.

Although Chinese traditional culture has experienced ups and downs with its unique charm, it is still full of vitality. The circulation of thousands of years has deeply affected the national psychology of the Chinese people. In order to win more consumers, advertising photos are often based on values that are familiar to the audience or have been used as a code of conduct to gain cultural recognition and drive product sales. This has the coincidence of modern advertising photography and traditional culture. This paper starts from the traditional elements in advertising photos and the psychology of the audience, combined with the theory and knowledge of photography, advertising psychology and other related disciplines, to carry out research. The paper first discusses the concept of Chinese traditional elements and the new requirements for using Chinese traditional elements in advertising photos in the context of globalization, then studies the current classification of advertising photo audiences based on their preference for traditional elements, and finally from the perspective of audience psychology. Research how to position advertising photos using traditional Chinese elements, and draw conclusions. The research of this paper will help advertising photographers to improve the performance of traditional Chinese elements according to the type and psychology of the audience, enhance the appeal of advertising, and drive consumption. The research method used in this paper is mainly the Q methodology.

The movie < Cruella > is one of Disney's live-action films and deals with the past story of Cruella in the original 101 Dalmatian dogs, and is about the reason and context of the birth of Cruella, a cruel villain to kill Dalmatian dogs to make fur. In the original work, 101 Dalmatians, Roger, his wife Anita, and nanny were the center of the story, and Cruella started the story by causing problems, but her presence was not very great, but in recent live-action movies, other original film materials appear and connect one by one can be seen as faithful to the formula.
Although < Cruella > contained more than just a prequel version of the message, it was evaluated only as a light sight or interest, and the meaning of the work itself was not properly illuminated. Here, I would like to examine the character's essential identity and consciousness world through the journey of Cruella to find herself. In addition, I would like to examine the significance of the visual technology effect used throughout the movie and the message it wanted to express.
There is the protagonist with two egos, Estella and Cruella, in < Cruella >. The two egos have extremely contradictory characteristics, and I would like to analyze the process of Estella, who was always forced to obey, breaking away from the existing customs and framework and transforming into Cruella through the relationship between Jung's persona and shadow. And < Cruella > unfolds a villain-centered story. It is not a story of a typical Disney superhero or a good protagonist, but a sequel to a cruel crazy cruella in a white fur coat shown in < One Hundred and One Dalmatians >. However, < Cruella > contains a new interpretation of the villain along with the description of the main character's growth background and process. In this study, I will look back on the meaning of villains through Cruella, one of Disney's best villains.
< Cruella > is attracting a lot of attention with its colorful visual effects and visual aesthetics, which not only provides visual pleasure but also plays a big role in realizing story development and directing intentions. In this paper, I would like to examine the message and its meaning to be implemented through visual effects in this film.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the media handles and reproduces the Olympics by grasping the trend of photographic reporting at the Tokyo Olympics in daily newspapers, identifying topics and reports, and analyzing photographic images published in newspapers. It is also important to observe how our media reproduce by looking at the differences in media that appear through Olympic photo images.
For this study, a total of 539 photos were analyzed by selecting press photos posted in general daily newspapers such as the Chosun Ilbo, the Hankyoreh Newspaper, and the Hankook Ilbo from July 23 to August 9, 2021.
As a result of the analysis, the area average of the photos showed significant differences between media. In addition, in the case of a front-page article, the media to be analyzed reported more than one related photo during the Olympics. Even when the subject of photography was women, the degree of exposure differed from medium to medium. The main contents of the photo report were “physical athletic ability” and “the joy, pleasure and cheers of victory.” However, the Chosun Ilbo showed a lower percentage of reports related to COVID-19 than the other two media companies. The theme of all newspapers was “victory advantage.” However, the increase in the proportion of humanism is interpreted as meaning that the tendency to report gold-oriented past Olympics is changing.

In this paper, the production process of new digital human based on photos will be studied. Firstly, through various literature and media, this paper will make a theoretical investigation on the development process of digital human. Second, for a better to create the 3D model of digital human, it is necessary to make and study the digital human scanned based on photos. Then, in order to represent a more real digital human, Author will explain their materials which based on photos. Finally, using the computer 3D scanning technology, the production of 3D digital human which can show the sense of three-dimensional, reality and devotion is studied. Based on photos, digital human production goes beyond simple images and reproduces the new production environment of digital human with distinctive personality, which is an essential research at present. Especially, it can greatly reduce the human, materials and the time's consumption. Expecting the direction of this research can help the producer quickly improve the 3D model and material based on photos in the future, and save the budget.

From the 2011 interview with Professor Xie Aijun of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, I learned that the current photography education is developing more and more in two aspects. On the one hand, the photography education of traditional art colleges that adhere to elite education, on the other hand, to cultivate the photography education of professional photographers, and each has space for development. There are more and more universities majoring in photography, and in addition to a few colleges with long qualifications and profound academic background with a distinct overall appearance, the appearance of many colleges and universities is vague and ambiguous, with heavy traces of imitation of each other, and the photography practice and theoretical research of some college teachers lack.
To this end, the purpose of this paper not only through questionnaire survey, using data analysis to understand the current situation of advertising photography in Chinese universities, to the university teachers, and the arrangement of advertising photography courses, and through the university of each school website search, found the United States, South Korea part of the advertising photography training goals and curriculum compared with Chinese universities, understand their own advantages and disadvantages, hope advertising photography education can get the attention of university education. Combined with the advantages and resources of university photography education in other countries, we hope to provide some reference for Chinese photography education, and also let other countries better understand the advantages and disadvantages of Chinese advertising photography, and give enlightenment for the development of university advertising photography in the future.

This study examines the use of photography in digital art based on the philosophy of Vilém Flusser. Photography in digital art has a different appearance from ordinary photography. Therefore new framework of theory is required to see this new images which move pixels by audiences or generating music. Vilém Flusser explained the technical image of modern society. He gave a warning that humans could falling under the control by devices of technical Image. In this situation, he found a little hope in the digital art field. Digital artists resist the automaticity of the device and create new results that the device maker did not expect. Flusser named 'new Imagination' for this phenomenon. In addition, they are not independent individuals, but jointly created a art work through communities. Therefore, digital art is an art that is completely different from the previous classical art and presents a new paradigm for a new era which called digital generation.

Recently, the popularity of Netflix has begun not only in movies and dramas but also in documentaries. Materials and grammar that have not been seen on existing TV are bringing about changes in the documentary genre. The documentary < My Octopus Teacher > is also an example with a unique subject matter and story.
I will examine the documentary < My Octopus Teacher >, which contains the special meeting, communion, and healing process between humans and octopus, and analyze its characteristics. Craig, the protagonist, regained his lost purpose of life through the communion of nature, and his surrounding relationships were restored. And through this, it gives healing and comfort to the audience, and makes them look back on the relationship between nature and humans. Although the documentary does not directly talk about the risk of environmental destruction or animal protection, it conveys another message on how humans should live in harmony with nature as members of the Earth, not owners, by drawing sincere communication between humans and creatures.
In this paper, I would like to examine the content and formal characteristics of the documentary < My Octopus Teacher >, which contains a special connection between humans and octopus. Communication with Craig and Octopus is the main theme that penetrates the entire work. This stage of exchange is analyzed by alternating analysis, and < My Octopus Teacher > also examines that the stage according to the time structure of alternating analysis, which is gradually moving toward the intimate stage, is progressing. And Craig, the cast and producer of < My Octopus Teacher >, was co-founder of the Sea Change Project, and the documentary was produced as part of the Sea Change Project. I would also like to examine documentaries on environmental preservation and communion with nature of similar characteristics, and examine the differentiated characteristics of < My Octopus Teacher >.

Family is the reason and purpose of life for many people. But for some, the family could be a group that you can force the ideal role of a family member and constantly demands duty and sacrifice. My experience of a personal complex with family naturally led to an interest in the stereotypes of 'family photography', which only shows the ideal appearance of “family” in a large concept. Therefore, I studied the history of family photography and the formality of family and completed the series < New-Family Portrait > (2019) and < New Korean Family > (2020) through various explorations and experimental images.
I observed that many family photographs are very similar because the form of formal family photography is implicitly defined, and taken within that fixed format. We have watched the many images of ideal families defined by society for a long time, and trained by these images, prejudices against the concept of the family have naturally emerged. These stereotypes impoverish the imagination of family photographs and make the viewer prejudiced. The purpose of this study is to express the strong stereotypes of family photographs through two pseudofamily photograph series, < New-Family Portrait > which is reconstructed from amateur family photographs and < New Korean Family > which is reconstructed from documentary photographs by Joo Myung-Duck. I aim to break apart the stereotypical forms of family photographs through the two experimental series of work by creating fictional families and raise questions about the meaning of family today.
