본 연구는 코로나19 상황에서 개인이 겪은 어려옴과 변화들이 가족관계 만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 2020년 9월에 수집된 서베이 자료를 활용하여 분석하고자 한다. 코로나19로 인해 경제, 돌봄, 관계 단절 모든 면에서 여성이 남성보다 더 많은 피해를 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 돌봄공백을 경험한 부부의 23%만이 일가정양립제도를 사용하였으며, 여성의 제도 사용 비율이 남성보다 높았다. 코로나19 확산 이후 가족들은 더 많은 시간을 함께 보내게 되었고 이는 가족관계 만족도에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤지만. 남성의 가사분담 여부에 따라 그 영향력이 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 일가정양립제도 사용은 긍정적 영향을, 가구소득 감소, 돌봄부담 증가, 본인 가사 증가 등은 부정적 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 재택근무가 활성화될 가능성이 높은 현실에서 사회의 기초단위인 가족이 평안과 안정의 공간이 되기 위해서는 젠더평등이 중요하며, 이를 증진시킬 정책이 중요함을 제시하였다.

This study aims to examine the impact of Covid-19 on family from a gender perspective, and to analyze how the impact has influenced the level of satisfaction of family relationship, using the survey data collected in September 2020. First, women tended to experience the hardship caused by Covid-19 more than men in all dimensions including economic, caregiving and social relationship. Second only about 23% of couples who experienced the increased care burden used the work-family reconciliation policies, and women were more likely to use the scheme than men. Third, the use of work-family reconciliation policies proved to be a positive factor for family relationship satisfaction whereas the increase of care burden and domestic work together with the reduction of household income had a negative influence. While it turned out to be positive to spend more time with family members, the men's share of domestic work was mediating the effect of the time with family members on the satisfaction. Finally, this study draws some policy implications for future family policy amid Covid-19 and digital economy which would allow people to spend more time with their family in line with increasing telecommuting or distance learning.
