Conventional treatments accessible to breast cancer survivors after diagnosis include cancer therapies with cardiotoxic effects such as trastuzumab and/or anthracycline-based chemotherapy, which can result in undesirable cardiac injuries known as cancer therapy-induced cardiotoxicity. Cancer therapy-induced cardiotoxicity is among a variety of cardiovascular comorbidities responsible for increased mortality in cancer survivors, and when accompanied by preexisting cardiovascular comorbidities, this detrimental side effect becomes a major health concern. Breast cancer survivors may be predisposed to this additional concern due to preexisting comorbidities related to cardiovascular diseases such as obesity, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes. Research in the rapidly emerging field of study which focuses on improving cardiovascular health in cancer survivors, known as cardio-oncology, reveals that exercise can improve the aforementioned comorbidities in clinical settings. However, the evidence has not been comprehensively evaluated to prescribe exercise as a clinical therapeutic option to improve cardiovascular health in breast cancer survivors. Therefore, the purpose of this review is to summarize the current evidence on the effects of exercise on cardiovascular outcomes in women with breast cancer at three different time points; before, during, and after cancer therapy. In addition, current knowledge gaps and future directions in the field of exercise science and cardio-oncology will be addressed.

3The Fitness Fatness Index Is Inversely Associated with Measures of Vascular Aging Derived from Blood Pressure in a Representative Sample of Adults in the United States

Purpose: Both low cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) and obesity may hasten vascular aging and increase atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk. This study explored the joint association of CRF and obesity with ASCVD risk using the fitness fatness index (FFI) and measures of vascular aging derived from blood pressure in a large sample of United States adults.
Methods: Data from the 1999-2002 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were used (N=8,080 adults between the ages of 20-85 years, which is a weighted population equivalent of 174,277,151). The FFI was calculated as CRF divided by waist-to-height ratio. Measures of vascular aging included estimated pulse wave velocity (ePWV), pulse pressure (PP), and the vascular overload index (VOI), with ePWV being calculated from systolic and diastolic blood pressures and age while PP and VOI were calculated from blood pressure alone.
Results: After full adjustment for age, sex, race/ethnicity, education, body mass index, smoking, physical activity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and total cholesterol, FFI was inversely associated with ePWV (b=-.10; 95% confidence interval [CI], -0.11 to -0.09; p<0.001), PP (b=-.86; 95% CI, -1.03 to -0.68; p< 0.001) and the VOI (b=-.74; 95% CI, -0.95 to -0.053; p< 0.001).
Conclusion: FFI is associated with lower ePWV, PP, and VOI in a nationally representative sample of adults. Maintaining higher CRF concomitant with lower body fat may minimize vascular load and contribute to healthy vascular aging. Conversely, lower fitness and higher fatness may contribute to early/accelerated vascular aging.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the relationship between the attitudes toward doping, sport orientation, and perceived motivational climate in sport, and to provide useful information on the anti-doping strategy.
Methods: A total of 567 athletes in 21 sports completed four questionnaires Performance Enhancement Attitude Scale (PEAS), Sport Orientation Questionnaire (SOQ; competitiveness orientation, win orientation, goal orientation), Task and Ego Orientation in Sport Questionnaire (TEOSQ; task orientation, ego orientation), and Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire-2 (PMCSQ-2; ego-involving and task-involving climates). They were divided into four categories: speed/power (n=201), endurance (n=154), motor skill (n=119), and team (n=93). We identified the difference of variables among four categories and verified possible factors significantly associated with attitudes toward doping.
Results: The PEAS of athletes in both speed/power sports and Team sports was higher than motor skill sports, and the team sports athletes also showed higher PEAS than endurance sports athletes. In speed/power sports, the task of TEOSQ and the win of SOQ were related to PEAS, and in endurance sports, the task of TEOSQ and the ego-involving of PMCSQ were related to PEAS. In motor skill sports and Team sports, the task-involving of PMCSQ and the goal of SOQ were associated with PEAS, respectively.
Conclusion: The results of this study provided new insights into the psychosocial mechanisms of attitudes toward doping, and it would contribute significantly to effective anti-doping strategies based on sports characteristics.

Purpose: Following the outbreak and global spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), an increasing number of people have turned to cycling. This study aims to investigate the epidemiology of bicycle-related injuries before and after the emergence of the COVID-19.
Methods: In this retrospective study, we collected medical records of those patients who visited the emergency room for orthopedic injuries related to bicycle accidents. The “COVID-19 period” consisted of the patients identified from April 1 to November 31 in the year 2020, while the “pre-COVID-19 period” consisted of those identified during the same months of the year 2019.
Results: A total of 519 patients were identified. The bicycle-related injuries increased by 5.1% during the COVID-19, in comparison to the pre-COVID-19 period. Among these, 76.3% were men. The highest incidence of the injuries was seen for 10- 19 years of age during the pre-COVID-19, and for 50- 59 years of age during the COVID-19 period. Overall, upper limb injuries were the commonest, consisting of 32.2% of all injuries. The shoulder injuries were the commonest in the pre-COVID-19, while the knee injuries were the commonest in the COVID-19 period. Assessing the severity of the injuries, contusion (81.8%) was the commonest. Of the injuries requiring hospital admissions, hip injuries had the highest incidence at 76.5%.
Conclusion: During the COVID-19, the total number of bicycle-related injuries did not increase significantly. In the bicycle-related injuries, the middle-age group had the highest proportion during the COVID-19 period. More efficient prevention strategies for middle-aged riders are necessary.

Purpose: This study was aimed to identify the effect of taping applied to both hamstring on the horizontal velocity of the center of mass (COM) and the angle and peak angular velocity of the knee and hip joints in the sagittal plane during the crouching start.
Methods: Seven elite sprinters (three male 100-m sprinters and four male 400-m sprinters) who enrolled in Korea National Sport University and placed in the National Sports Festival participated in this study. The crouching start is divided into four separate phases by the five events: set position (E1), rear block exit (E2), initial contact of rear leg (E3), take-off of rear leg (E4), and initial contact of front leg (E5). The angle (°) of knee and hip joints in each event and the velocity of COM (m/sec) and peak angular velocity (°/sec) in each phase were analyzed before and after the application of kinesiology taping (KT) on both hamstring and placebo taping (PT).
Results: There were no significant differences in the velocity of COM and the angle and peak angular velocity of knee joint among the taping conditions. In 400-m sprinters, the front hip joint with KT or PT flexed less than without taping at E1 (p=0.039), E4 (p=0.018), and E5 (p=0.018). Also, during the phase from E1 to E2, the rear hip joint with both KT and PT extended at lower angular velocity compared to without taping (p=0.018).
Conclusion: While taping may be a beneficial practice for elite sports performance, the application of KT on both hamstring does not enhance sprinters' start performance.

Ankle joint is a stable mortise structure, therefore pure ankle dislocation without ankle fracture is rare. Several adjacent anatomical structures have been reported as a cause of irreducible ankle dislocation. Author report a case of successful treatment of irreducible anterior subluxation of the ankle joint due to os trigonum and transverse ligament by closed reduction under anesthesia, and a review of the literature as well.

We describe the case of a 32-year-old male professional football player experiencing syncope during a warm-up ahead of a regular professional football league match. Syncope recovered spontaneously, but an electrocardiogram test revealed T-wave inversion and upward convex ST elevation. Subsequent echocardiogram, angiography, exercise stress test, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, and gene analysis showed no abnormalities. The athlete had no recurrence of chest pain or syncope during the treatment period of about 4 weeks, and there was no recurrence of symptoms until 6 months after returning to sports.
