A study on aspectual triplets in Russian gives an interesting perspective on how to analyze and evaluate Russian verbal aspectual system as a whole. Russian verbal aspect is the lexico-grammatical category in which lexical and aspectual features are still more closely related to each other, than many researchers have considered. We think that this close relationship between them has been underestimated.
In this article, we critically analyzed previous studies on aspectual triplets, such as Зализняк & Шмелёв(2000), Зализняк & Микаэлян(2010), and Храковский(2005). If we treat Russian verbal aspect as a purely grammatical system, we are likely to fall into a methodological dilemma, as Зализняк & Шмелев did. But if we focus on a lexical synonymy, which Храковский set as a criterion for judging aspectual triplets, we can be relatively free from that kind of dilemma. Nonetheless, we must say that Храковский did not fully pay attention to differences in the usages between primary and secondary imperfective aspects.
In this study, we analyzed the examples extracted from the Russian National Corpus to reveal differences in the usages of the verbs ‘читать vs. прочитывать’, ‘есть vs. съедать’, and ‘пить vs выпивать’. The differences in the usages between them turned out to be evident. Primary imperfective aspect fulfills such functions, as ‘ordinary imperfective usages’, ‘relative backgrounding’, and ‘atemporal evaluation’, whereas secondary imperfective aspect fulfills such functions, as ‘quantitative specification’, ‘relative foregrounding/focusing’, ‘metaphorical focalization’, ‘pseuo-historical present’ and ‘dramatic present’ and so on.

초록보기

The writing style of Sergei Dovlatov in recent decades has attracted the attention of many critics and specialists, whose research is carried out from the standpoint of literary analysis his works. There are unreasonably few linguistic works devoted to the work of S. Dovlatov. In this article, we consider the linguistic means of transferring the author's self-esteem in the autobiographical story "The Zone". Thus, we examined the language and writing style of S. Dovlatov and analyzed constructive elements of idiostyle (reception of a language game), sociolinguistic aspects (reflection of the speech of different social groups), and the peculiarities of the concept sphere. Meanwhile, we observed the aspect of the textual modality, which reflects the attitude of both the producer of speech (author) and the subject of speech (character) to the depicted reality, as well as to his own discourse. Textual modality lies at the heart of text formation, which determines the semantics, structure and emotional-evaluative nature of the narrative. The author's attitude to the world and to himself is manifested in the author's assessment of himself as a speaker (writer) and as a person in general. Linguistically expressing the author's self-esteem, the writer places himself in a certain relationship to the world and to the text in the autobiographical story "The Zone".

초록보기

The Adyghe ethnos is artificially separated and different names as Adygeans, Kabardians and Circassians(Cherkes), but are the oldest indigenous group of Caucasus. They are one of the first peoples to accept Islam in Europe.
First, Adygeans, who became indigenous leading peoples of the Republic of Adygea, resulted in the artificial border setting of the Soviet Union and the national dispersion due to forced migration.
The Republic of Adygea is a republic in Krasnodar Krai, a Russian-speaking region, and it is risky of being absorbed and disappearing in Russia in a short period of time, given that Adygeans do not occupy a majority and is less than half of Russians, and that various types of Russian assimilation policies are concentrated.
Although the titular nation, Kabardians occupy the majority in Kabarda-Balkaria, the indigenous leading Kabardian occupies the majority in Kabarda-Balkaria. But the Turkic Balkars are also indigenous leading peoples. Given that the Balkars are ethnic peoples such as Karachai-Cherkessia and that various types of Russian assimilation policies are concentrated, it is highly likely that the ethinc-language situation of the Republic will gradually change to favor Russians and Russian language.
In Karachai-Cherkessia, the Adyghe people, Circassians, are titular nation but only a quarter of Turkic Karachai and a third of Russians. The Karachai peoples are Turkic peoples like the Balkars of neighboring Kabarda-balkaria, and their influence is getting bigger and bigger.
However, the language of the Adyghe ethnos and his language are also threatened by the Russian language regulations as a mother language and the strengthening of Russian language education in the North Caucasus, which encompasses all three republics.

초록보기

This study focused on Russian cabaret. This came from the recognition of the problem that it was necessary to understand the cabaret in order to fully realize Russian art culture in the late 19th - early 20th century and to properly describe the history of Russian theater in the early 20th century.
To this end, this thesis first tried to explore the origin and birth of Russian cabaret and Miniature theaters from it. This study began by acknowledgment the fact that Russian cabaret originated under the influence of France and at the same time noting that its origin was in the soil of Russian culture. In this context, we tried to trace the origins of Russian cabaret: firstly, cafes, salons, and circles of Russian literature in the 19th and 20th centuries; secondly, the atmosphere of the turn of the century(“A Feast during the Plague”); thirdly, the bustling masquerade and “Kapustnik” performances of the early 20th century.
European and Russian cabaret have many things in common. But in the case of European cabaret, bohemian artists located in the periphery took the lead and expanded the field of satire and artistic and popular intelligence with a focus on parody of middle-class culture. At that time Russian cabaret was a stage where representatives of the arts and culture in the center of the capital made fierce experiments to overcome the melancholy of the turn of the century with laughter and to explore new art. Also, Russian cabaret soon developed into a new form of Miniature theater.
As such, this paper confirms that the cultural and artistic soil for cabaret to be born in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century has already been prepared. And through this, it was possible to examine that Russian cabaret was a succession of French tradition, but at the same time it was a succession of Russian tradition and a unique cultural product of Russia.
