This study collected annual data on Chinese tourists in 2019 based on their mobile payment records in Korea and analyzed their consumption patterns by month, age, and business type (accommodation, restaurant, etc.). The results showed that the amount spent at retail businesses was significantly higher. In terms of unit price, the accommodation business was the highest, while the lowest was the restaurant business. As for the number of transactions, the retail business was ranked at the top. There was a significant difference between genders in retail business consumption, but there were no significant differences in gender consumption in other industrial sectors. This study showed the major business sectors in which mobile payments were made. In addition, the analysis that compared the amount spent with the number of transactions revealed more specific consumption patterns as well as the overall transaction volume. By comparing these results with the current status of Chinese tourists in South Korea, a clearer picture can be drawn.

The purpose of this study is to publicize the importance of active leisure activities for the successful retirement life of the senior generation. The survey was conducted on seniors aged from 60 to 80 years old, residing in large cities including Busan and rural areas including Yeongcheon and Gyeongbuk, and whom have engaged in one or more leisure activities through welfare centers. The copies were distributed, and 164 valid copies were collected in Busan and 160 valid copies were collected in Yeongcheon. Through factor analysis: leisure activities was found to consist of three factors including learning and hobbies social and exchange activities, and daily leisure activities; quality of life consisted of two factors including life satisfaction and health satisfaction; and emotional well-being included positive emotions and negative emotions. The hypotheses of this study were founnd to be adopted or partially adopted at a meaningful level (less than 0.01), thus verifying the hypotheses of this study.

The purpose of this study is to identify Japan's tourism policies and the growth factors of Japan's major regional tourism industry based on Japan's tourism strategy. To achieve the purpose of this study, four areas were selected, including Tokyo Metropolis, Fukuoka Prefecture, Hokkaido Prefecture and Kyoto Prefecture which have high growth rates in the tourism industry due to various factors. The analysis method was compared and analyzed using the traditional shift-share analysis model and the Esteban-Marquillas model. According to the study, Japan's regional tourism promotion policy had a positive impact on Tokyo Metropolis and revitalizing regional tourism. Furthermore, the regional share effect, regional competitive effect, and regional allocation effect showed that the growth factors reflected the characteristics of each of the four regions.

This study intended to verify how destination emotional images affect satisfaction and behavior intention, and how satisfaction influences behavior intention. To this end, in order to compare cases of Korea and Japan, a survey was conducted on people who had visited the regions within the last three years. The survey was performed online for 20 days from November 11 to 30, 2019.The factors of destination emotional images were derived into emotion, presence, and sensation, while satisfaction and behavior intention were determined to have a single dimension. The results of the empirical analysis showed that destination emotional images have a significant effect on both satisfaction and behavior intention. In addition, satisfaction was found to have a significant effect on behavior intention. This suggests that a destination emotional image is an antecedent variable that has a significant impact on satisfaction and behavior intention. Therefore, to create a positive image of a destination, it is deemed necessary that emphasis should be put on the process of establishing tourism preparedness and marketing strategies.

The purpose of this study is to provide theoretical and practical strategic human resource guidelines to the hotel industry in China. To satisfy the purpose of this study, the effects of career plateau on organizational commitment and turnover intention were investigated. A total of 336 questionnaires of hotel employees in China were analyzed by using frequency, factor, and regression statistical analyses. The results revealed the negative effects of carrier plateau on organizational commitment, the positive effects of carrier plateau on turnover intention, and the negative effects of organizational commitment on turnover intention. Finally, based on the results some practical human resource strategies that may help meet the needs of personal occupation, enhance the sense of belonging to organizations, and reduce turnover intention were suggested.

The aim of this study is to find out how airline advertising attributes affect passenger risk perception. Based on existing research in other fields, the research was conducted and analyzed by combining the advertising characteristics and risk recognition of low-cost airlines. We used AMOS and SPSS to analyze the data and the results are as follows. First, the higher the level of aircraft aging that passengers feel, the greater the risk recognized by passengers. Second, the lower the level of aviation maintenance, the greater the risk of passenger recognition. Third, the hypothesis stating that the smaller the perceived risk, the greater the intention to reuse it was adopted. On the other hand, pilot, fatigue, cabin crew training and image, and airline safety policies were not statistically important and were not adopted.

Drone food delivery services (DFDS) are not only attracting attention due to the 4th Industrial Revolution, but also play a significant role in protecting the environment because the services are operated by batteries that can be charged with electricity. Therefore, this study tried to examine Internal Environmental Locus of Control (INELOC) in the context of DFDS. More specifically, this study examined how four dimensions of INELOC, namely, green consumers, activists, advocates, and recyclers, affect word-of-mouth intentions. In addition, this study investigated the difference of the four dimensions of INELOC based on the respondents' demographic factors. This research was tested based on a total of 442 samples. The data analysis results indicated that all four dimensions of INELOC significantly affect word-of-mouth intentions. In addition, differences in the four dimensions of INELOC were found in demographic factors, including gender, age, and marital status.

The meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) is a high added-value industry with a huge ripple effect on relevant industries, including tourism. Korea has been implementing various supportive policies to promote the MICE industry since enacting the International Conference Industry Promotion Act in 1996. For example, the 4th Plan for International Conference Industry Promotion was implemented in 2019. The MICE budgets of the national and local governments are continuously increasing, and institutional support measures are being consolidated. However, little is known about the MICE budgets of the government and their characteristics in the MICE industry. Thus, this study explores the MICE budget characteristics and changes and provides suggestions for future direction and policies regarding the MICE industry developments and competitiveness.
