Purpose: A statistical similarity evaluation to compare pharmacokinetics(PK) profile data between nonclinical and clinical experiments has become a significant issue on many drug development processes. This study proposes a new similarity index by considering important parameters, such as the area under the curve(AUC) and the time-series profile of various PK data.
Methods: In this study, a new profile similarity index(PSI) by using the concept of a process capability in-dex(Cp) is proposed in order to investigate the most similar animal PK profile compared to the target(i.e., Human PK profile). The proposed PSI can be calculated geometric and arithmetic means of all short term similarity indices at all time points on time-series both animal and human PK data. Designed simulation approaches are demonstrated for a verification purpose.
Results: Two different simulation studies are conducted by considering three variances(i.e., small, medium, and large variances) as well as three different characteristic types(smaller the better, larger the better, nominal the best). By using the proposed PSI, the most similar animal PK profile compare to the target human PK profile can be obtained in the simulation studies. In addition, a case study represents differentiated results compare to existing simple statistical analysis methods(i.e., root mean squared error and quality loss).
Conclusion: The proposed PSI can effectively estimate the level of similarity between animal, human PK profiles. By using these PSI results, we can reduce the number of animal experiments because we only focus on the significant animal representing a high PSI value.

Purpose: This study focused on reality and quality improvement of aviation security equipment performance certification system.
Methods: For this propose, we analyzed aviation security equipment performance certification system related legislations. Using analyzed data, we suggested advancement plan of aviation security equipment performance certification system.
Results: In results, South Korea has been implementing aviation security performance certification system since October 2018. Parts for improvement of system are mutual certification with major countries that operate aviation security equipment performance certification systems, the spread of the defense industry's system, development of similar substances for handling explosives, and introduction of preliminary inspections.
Conclusion: The research result could be used as a basic data for upgrading Korea's aviation security performance certification system.

Purpose: Smart Safety Living Lab is a Living Lab facility, constructed and operated by KITECH in Korea, to support the user experience(UX) evaluation, planning and certification of smart safety products and services. The purpose of this study is to develop a UX evaluation methodology that accommodates the characteristics of the Living Lab and smart safety products and services for a systematic and efficient UX evaluation in the Smart Safety Living Lab.
Methods: A generic model of UX evaluation was first derived based on a review of related literature. Then, the generic model is revised to accommodate the characteristics of the Smart Safety Living Lab and smart safety products and services, resulting in the UX Evaluation Methodology for Smart Safety Living Lab (SSLL-UXEM).
Results: The developed SSLL-UXEM consists of a structured process for UX evaluation, a guideline for conducting each step of the process, and a set of forms for recording the major evaluation results in each step.
Conclusion: SSLL-UXEM can help to enhance the efficiency of the UX evaluation process and the consistency of the UX evaluation results. SSLL-UXEM is also expected to serve as a basis for UX evaluation in various living lab environments in the future.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the economic value of installing public Energy storage system (ESS) facilities using a logit regression analysis and Contingent Valuation Method (CVM). We focused mainly on the environmental benefits of ESS and analyzed how the users' attitude toward environmental protection and knowledge of renewable energy affect their Willingness to pay (WTP)
Methods: A single-bounded dichotomous choice (SBDC) survey was used to collect the data. We asked participants whether they are willing to pay a randomly presented cost (KRW 100, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 5000, 10000) along with their attitude to toward environmental protection, knowledge of renewable energy, and perceived cost of electric bill. 417 valid samples were collected and used for the analysis.
Results: The results of the logit regression show that the initial bid, attitude toward environmental protection, knowledge of renewable energy, and perceived cost of electric bill significantly affect the user's WTP of public ESS facilities. The CVM results show that users are willing to pay KRW 5,049.1/month to install ESS facilities.
Conclusion: : According to results, we conclude that the users agree with the need to install ESSs and that environmental benefits of ESSs are important factors for ESS adoption. Therefore, policy makers need to emphasize environmental aspects to install the ESS facilities.

Purpose: This study aims to identify effective ways to induce water resources conservation for general water consumers.
Methods: In order to find the core factors to motivate water saving behavior for general consumers, this study utilized the theory of reasoned action which is well known as one of the most frequently used theory in consumer's green behavior analysis.
Results: Among six hypothesized relationships in the research model four were proved to be statistically significant. The relationship between attitude toward water savings and the water saving behavior was found to be significant but only through the behavioral intention.
Conclusion: Consumers with positive attitude on water conservation will practice water saving behavior with behavioral intention. However, consumers only with high knowledge on water conservation naturally and habitually practice water saving behavior without recognizing the intention to save the water. Thus, both positive attitude on the water conservation and subjective norm must be satisfied since the two factors tend to lead to actual green behavior using different psychological routes.

Purpose: This study is to investigate the effects of job instability and job stress on the turnover intention of sports facility workers in the COVID-19 situation, considering the moderating effects of perceived organizational support.
Methods: This study surveyed service workers working at public sports facilities in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province and North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. The multi-regression and hierarchical regression analysis were employed to analyze the collected data.
Results: The results indicate that all of the factors constituting job instability (organizational, job, and personal factors) had a significant influence on the factors constituting job stress (job characteristic, roll-related, and human relationship factors), except for only the relationship between organizational factor and rol-related factor. Job characteristic and roll-related factors constituting job stress significantly affected turnover intention of sports facility workers. Also, it was found that the perceived organizational support moderated the relationship between job characteristic factors of job stress and turnover intention.
Conclusion: Although the COVID-19 created an environment with very high job instability, the negative impacts of job instability and job stress can be minimized through consideration and support for service workers of the organization, reducing turnover intention.

Purpose: This paper proposes a density adaptive grid algorithm for the k-NN regression model to reduce the computation time for large datasets without significant prediction accuracy loss.
Methods: The proposed method utilizes the concept of the grid with centroid to reduce the number of reference data points so that the required computation time is much reduced. Since the grid generation process in this paper is based on quantiles of original variables, the proposed method can fully reflect the density information of the original reference data set.
Results: Using five real-life datasets, the proposed k-NN regression model is compared with the original k-NN regression model. The results show that the proposed density adaptive grid-based k-NN regression model is superior to the original k-NN regression in terms of data reduction ratio and time efficiency ratio, and provides a similar prediction error if the appropriate number of grids is selected.
Conclusion: The proposed density adaptive grid algorithm for the k-NN regression model is a simple and effective model which can help avoid a large loss of prediction accuracy with faster execution speed and fewer memory requirements during the testing phase.

Purpose: This study intends to provide decision-making information to improve efficiency by analyzing the management efficiency of smart greenhouse business entities and identifying factors that affect the efficiency based on input and output.
Methods: The subjects of analysis were business entities for cultivating strawberries in smart greenhouses in Jeolla region (northern and southern Jeolla provinces), and the analysis focused on the management performance of the 2019-2020 crop period (year). Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) was applied as an analysis method for efficiency analysis, Quantile Regression(QR) analysis was applied as a factor affecting the efficiency.
Results: The reason for the efficiency gap between business entities was that there were many business entities that did not minimize the input cost at the current level of output, and the area where the variance among business entities was large was the fixed cost per 10a. In the results of the affecting factor analysis, it was found that the seed-seedlings cost, fertilizer cost, other material cost, and employment and labor cost had a negative (-) effect on the efficiency, and that the repair and maintenance cost had a positive (+) effect.
Conclusion: Therefore, to achieve the efficiency of scale, it is necessary to reduce the input scale to an appropriate level. In the case of business entities with low efficiency by quartile, the seed-seedlings, fertilizer, and other material costs reduce expenditures, and repair maintenance costs can improve efficiency by increasing expenditures.

The results show that the proposed density adaptive grid-based k-NN regression model is superior to the original k-NN regression in terms of data reduction ratio and time efficiency ratio, and provides a similar prediction error if the appropriate number of grids is selected.
Conclusion: The proposed density adaptive grid algorithm for the k-NN regression model is a simple and effective model which can help avoid a large loss of prediction accuracy with faster execution speed and fewer memory requirements during the testing phase.

Purpose: This study intends to provide decision-making information to improve efficiency by analyzing the management efficiency of smart greenhouse business entities and identifying factors that affect the efficiency based on input and output.
Methods: The subjects of analysis were business entities for cultivating strawberries in smart greenhouses in Jeolla region (northern and southern Jeolla provinces), and the analysis focused on the management performance of the 2019-2020 crop period (year). Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) was applied as an analysis method for efficiency analysis, Quantile Regression(QR) analysis was applied as a factor affecting the efficiency.
Results: The reason for the efficiency gap between business entities was that there were many business entities that did not minimize the input cost at the current level of output, and the area where the variance among business entities was large was the fixed cost per 10a. In the results of the affecting factor analysis, it was found that the seed-seedlings cost, fertilizer cost, other material cost, and employment and labor cost had a negative (-) effect on the efficiency, and that the repair and maintenance cost had a positive (+) effect.
Conclusion: Therefore, to achieve the efficiency of scale, it is necessary to reduce the input scale to an appropriate level. In the case of business entities with low efficiency by quartile, the seed-seedlings, fertilizer, and other material costs reduce expenditures, and repair maintenance costs can improve efficiency by increasing expenditures.
