The purpose of this study is to experiential consideration of the correlation between Jamaica dancehall music and dance. Therefore, in-depth interview methods were used for dancehall dancers who are active in the domestic dancehall field to analyze and consider more specific and diverse hands-on examples to achieve the purpose of this study.
First, we looked at the understanding of the music of dancehall dancers.
Second, we looked at the characteristics of dance hall music experienced by dancehall dancers.
Third, we looked at the correlation between dancehall music and dance experienced by dancehall dancers. As a result
The characteristics of the dancehall music showed that it was an essential condition to determine what kind of dance would be performed by the dancer performing the dancehall movement. Dancehall music and dancehall dance have developed through correlation and are inseparable. The proper understanding and implementation of these relationships is a necessary condition for the right succession of Jamaica's street culture, which is now drawing attention as a new field of art.
