본 연구는 유무선 서비스의 통화량과 요금에 관한 월간 시계열 자료를 사용하여 다양한 유무선 통화수요의 자기가격탄력성, 교차가격탄력성 및 소득탄력성을 추정하였다. 이를 위해 유선의 시내, 시외, LM(Land to Mobile) 그리고 이동의 음성, SMS(Short Message Service) 등으로 통화수요를 구분하고 각 통화에 대한 지출비중방정식 체계를 추정하였다. 추정 모형으로는 AIDS(Almost Ideal Demand System)을 이용하였고 추정 과정에서 변수들간의 공적분 관계를 고려하여 삼각오차수정모형 (Triangular Error Correction Model)을 이용하였다. 추정결과에 따르면 유선 시내의 가격탄력성은 -1.06으로 나타났으며 이동전화의 가격탄력성은 -0.85로 나타났다. 이러한 탄력성의 크기는 기존의 연구 결과와 대체로 유사한 것으로 나타났다.

In this paper, we estimate the own- and cross- price elasticities and income elasticity of various fixed and mobile telephone services using monthly time series data. We estimate expenditure share of various telecommunications services such as local, toll, LM(Land to Mobile), Mobile voice and Short Message Services. We employ AIDS (Almost Ideal Demand System) as the estimation model and employ Triangular Error Correction Model in the estimation to consider the cointegrated relationship between variables. We show that the own-price elasticity of the demand for local call is -1.06 and the ownprice elasticity of the demand for mobile is -0.85. This result is consistent with those of previous studies.
