본 연구에서는 지리 교육에서 흥미로운 지리 공부를 위한 학습 교재는 어떻게 구성이 되어야 하며 이렇게 구성된 교재가 성취도가 떨어지는 학생들에게 학습에 대한 관심과 이를 ㅌ오한 지리학습이 효과적인지를 분석하여 새로운 교재의 구성이 필연적인지에 대한 검증을 목적으로 하였다. 지리교과를 생활에 진실로 도움이 되는 학문이면서도 재미있고 흥미로운 과목으로 발전시키기 위해서는 교수와 교사사이를 잇는 중간자과 교과서와 학생사이를 잇는 중간매체가 절실히 필요하다고 생각된다. 본 연구는 학생들의 능력과 흥미를 파악하고, 이에 알맞은 교재를 개발하여 흥미를 유도하고 이를 통해 지리학습에 자신감을 갖도록 하는 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 대부분의 학생들에게 지리 교과와 지리 수업 시간의 이미지를 개선하는데는 이바지할 수 있었다. 그리고 본 연구에서 나타난 결과를 토대로 일선 교사들은 검인정 교과서에 나타나는 문제점들을 보완하기 위해서 학습내용을 새로 조직하고 학생 수준에 부합되는 새로운 보조재료 또는 교구의 사용으로 보다 효율적인 학습이 이루어지도록 노력해야 함이 바람직하다고 생각된다. 뿐만 아니라 학교에서 배우는 지리 공부가 쉽고 흥미롭기 위한 교수 방법과 교재의 개발 필요성을 일선 교사들이 깊이 인식하고 행동할 때 지리교육은 한 걸음 더 발전할 수 있을 것이다.

We are analyzing if Geography learning is effective and also we are aiming towards, if new constitution of teaching materials are necessary. If this subject needs to prosper and also to have a meaning in our daily life, the subject itself have to be fun and interesting. Also there should be a middleman between the professor and teacher, and also a middle media between textbooks and the students. The main research of this study is to understand the students capability and also the students interest due to this results a suitable textbook can be made and with this we are sure it be a persuasive idea that will make students more interested and also make students more confident when studying the subject. With the help of the research, we were able to conduce to the students the image of what Geography curriculum and the course would be like. Also from the outcome of the results, teachers have a first line basis, and the basis are if there are problems in the permitted text, it would be supplemented, and re-organize the content of the text to make it more effective, also teaching tools should be used as a sub-materials. Not only that but for the subject to be more fun and interesting the teachers should develop a new methods to teach.
