이 연구에서는 「대학」의 명명덕을 인성의 실현이라는 측면으로 살펴보았다. 「대학」에서는 인간이 타고난 명덕은 본래 세상과 조화롭게 살아갈 수 있는 인간의 본성으로 옛 성인들은 임금이라면 모름지기 자신이 타고난 명덕을 수양하여 세상에 밝게 드러나게 해야 한다고 강조하였다. 인간은 태어날 때 천으로부터 부여받은 명덕이 자신에게 내재 되어 있지만, 세상을 살면서 사사로운 욕심으로 인하여 명덕이 어둡게 되어 자신의 정체성을 잃고 수많은 갈등 속에서 힘겨운 세상을 살고 있다는 것이다. 이에 성인들은 인간의 본래 모습을 찾아 세상과 조화를 이루며 살아갈 수 있도록 명덕을 밝게 밝혀 세상에 드러내야 하는 것을 강조하였던 것이다. 이 명덕이 바로 인성의 본래 모습이라는 것이다.
명명덕은 '덕', '명덕', '명명덕'으로 나누어 볼 수 있는데, 덕은 사람이 태어나면서부터 부여받은 본성이면서 인성이라고 볼 수 있으며, 명덕은 타고난 인성인 덕이 스스로 밝다는 것이다. 그리고 명명덕은 명덕을 밝혀 자신의 인성을 완성하는 것이고, 밝은 덕을 세상에 밝게 드러내어 사회의 질서가 잡히게 하고 조화로운 세상이 될 수 있게 하는 것을 말하는데, 명명덕을 실현한 사람은 지도자의 인성을 갖춘 사람으로 자기의 삶은 물론이고 다른 사람의 삶도 행복하게 하는 사람이라는 것이다.
이렇게 명명덕의 수양을 통하여 자신에게 내재하는 명덕을 찾아 그 마음을 세상에 밝게 드러낸다는 것은 나의 본성을 찾아 회복한다는 것이고, 나의 명덕이 타인에게까지 영향을 준다는 것이다. 또한, 이웃과 사회 그리고 국가에 영향을 미쳐 모두가 조화로운 세상에서 살아가게 하는 것이다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 측면에서 덕과 명덕 그리고 명명덕의 의미를 살펴보았다.

In this study, Myungmyungdeok of 『the Great Learning』was examined in terms of Realization of Personality. In 『the Great Learning』, the innate Myungdeok of a person is the nature of human beings who can live in harmony with the world. Therefore, the ancient sages emphasized that, if you were a king, you should cultivate your innate Myungdeok and make it appear brightly in the world. Human beings are inherently endowed with Myungdeok from heaven at birth. However, due to personal greed while living in the world, his Myungdeok is darkened and he loses his identity and lives in a difficult world amidst numerous conflicts. In this regard, the adults emphasized the importance of revealing to the world the brightest Myungdeok so that they can find the original human form and live in harmony with the world. This Myungdeok is the original form of personality.
Myungmyungdeok can be considered by dividing it into 'Deok(德)', 'Myungdeok', and 'Myungmyeongdeok'. Deok can be said to be a nature and personality born from birth, Myeongdeok means that deok which is an innate personality is bright on its own. And MyeongMyeongdeok is to complete one's personality by revealing Myeongdeok, and to reveal bright deok to the world so that there is order in society and a harmonious world. He is a person who makes his own life as well as the lives of others happy.
Finding the Myungdeok that is inherent in you through the cultivation of Myungmyungduk and revealing your mind to the world brightly means that you restore your nature and that your Myungdeok affects others as well It also affects neighbors, society and the country so that everyone can live in a harmonious world.
In this study, the meanings of Deok, Myungdeok and Myungmyungdeok were considered in this regard.

아동기의 영재성이 저절로 발현되어 성인기의 탁월한 성취로 반드시 이어지지는 것은 아니다. 영재성 발달에는 개인의 노력은 물론 가정, 학교, 사회의 지원 등과 같이 다양한 요인이 관련되어 있다. 특히 지적 영재의 영재성 발달에는 영재의 사회적, 정서적 문제가 중요한 영향을 미치기 때문에 영재부모 및 영재담당 교사는 영재의 독특한 심리적 특성을 이해하고, 영재를 도울 수 있는 기술을 습득해야 한다. 이에 본 고에서는 영재의 공통적인 사회, 정서적 특징 중에서 영재성 발현에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 완벽주의, 정서적 예민성 및 과흥분성, 그리고 사회적 적응과 그에 대한 대응 방안을 살펴보았다. 영재의 사회, 정서적 문제는 영재성의 수준과 개인의 특성에 따라 다양하기 때문에 연구 결과를 일반화하기는 어렵다. 그러나 영재의 사회, 정서적 문제는 영재성 발현에 매우 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수도 있는 일반학생들과 구별되는 영재의 독특한 특성이기 때문에, 억제해야할 부정적인 특성으로 간주하기 보다는 영재가 이를 수용하고 긍정적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안이 무엇보다도 필요할 것이다. 이를 위해 이러한 특성을 지닌 영재를 위한 프로그램의 효과를 검증하는 연구와 관련 변인들 간의 관계를 파악하는 실증적 연구들이 지속되어야 한다.

Giftedness in childhood does not necessarily lead to outstanding achievement in adulthood. Various factors are involved in the development of giftedness, such as individual efforts as well as support from home, school, and society. In particular, since the social and emotional problems of gifted students have an important influence on the development of giftedness, gifted parents and teachers in charge of gifted students should understand the unique psychological characteristics of gifted students and acquire skills to help them. Therefore, in this paper, among the common social and emotional characteristics of gifted students, perfectionism, emotional sensitivity and overexcitability, and social adaptation that can negatively affect the development of giftedness were examined. Because the social and emotional problems of gifted children vary according to the level of giftedness and individual characteristics, it is difficult to generalize the results of related studies. However, since the social and emotional problems of gifted children are unique characteristics of gifted students that can have a very positive effect on the development of their giftedness, it is not considered as a negative characteristic to be suppressed.
