The time-temperature indicator (TTI) has been attracted attention as a technology that can visualize the changes in the characteristics of growth, quality, storage, and food processing for agricultural products. Therefore, in this study, color change characteristics were analyzed and a reaction tool was developed as basic data for producing a time-temperature indicator based on the Maillard reaction. The color of the Maillard reaction solution was changed colorless through, light blue, and brown to black and showed a very pronounced color change. And the rate of change in the reaction solution was increased in higher concentrations. Moreover, the time for the optical density to reach the highest point was shortened in the high concentration condition, and the slope of the change curve increased. Therefore, it was determined that the color change characteristics of the reaction solution by reaction concentration control could show a similar trend to the quality characteristics of agricultural products. In this result, the color change of the Maillard reaction-based time-temperature indicator would provide a lot of information about agricultural products such as ripen quality, rate of change, and storage deadline, etc. In addition, the prepared reaction tool was easy to manufacture, and the Maillard reaction solution was efficiently protected and the color change was clearly confirmed with high transparency. Therefore, it was determined that the developed reaction tool could be used as a time temperature indicator based on the Maillard reaction.

In this study, to prevent environmental pollution and reduce rice production costs, the decomposition characteristics of biodegradable mulching for rice cultivation, which can be decomposed by microorganisms, were analyzed to confirm the applicability of direct rice cultivation technology. Three types of covering material samples were used as the test material. Sample A had a total weight of 80 g per 1 m3 and Sample B had 70 g, and Sample C used a covering material with a total weight of 60 g. The demand of fresh cut fruits such as fruit cups, fruit salad boxes is increasing recently. But we have not automated feeding machine in the automatic packing system for fresh cut fruits. This study was aimed to develop an automatic weighing and feeding system for packing of fresh-cut fruits on fruit processing plant. A prototype system has been developed and tested for feeding height of fresh-cut fruits, conveying speed, packaging weight, and performance of system. We measured the weight change of a piece of apple by the drop impact according to the feeding height and conveying speed. The performance of prototype was measured in condition of the conveying speed of 0.10 m/s. The weight of cut fruits filled in container showed a standard deviation of 4.87~6.26 g compared to target weight, and the performance of system was 2,465 EA/hr. The experimental result demonstrates that the impact of freshcut fruits was increased with the feeding height and conveying speed and the effect on the feeding height was greater than the conveyor speed. So, we are need to establish closely the feeding conveyor to the container and we are need to adjust the feeding speed according to the follow-up process such as fruit supplement and removal work according to the metering error, container sealing process and labeling process et al.

Plant phenomics offers a suite of new technologies to maximize plant productivility. Plant phenomics can be manifested in various form, such as color, temperature, and volume. To measure this various form of plant phenomics, a multi-sensing system which contains IR camera, temperature sensor, and depth camera was proposed. We also used KinectFusion algorithm to obtain one 3d model from point clouds which can be obtained from Kinect. We demonstrate usuability of our multi-sensing system on romaine, red lettuce, tobacco under water and low-temperature stress.

The consumption of meat is increasing as the population increases. As a result, livestock feeding and slaughtering is growing, creating many problems including global warming, water shortage, and unethical behaviors. On the other hand, the high cost of fresh meat results in starvation. To essentially solve this problem, research on artificial meat made by reused meat is needed. The artificial meat can solve unethical behavior and environmental pollution. In this study, we developed a three dimensional (3D) printer, which produces artificial meat, and use it to artificial meat printing techniques. First, the 3D printer was assembled and modified. Syringe pumps and nozzles required for 3D meat printing were modelled and printed by 3D printer. The ingredients of 3D meat printing were made by grinding pork and chicken with water at 1:1 ratio through blender and strainer. Their printability showed limitation as the height of 3D printed meat increased. This study showed the possibility of customized meat with 3D printing and expected the engineered meat that can be processed into desired ingredients in the future.

The objective of this study was to diagnose the temperature stress of paprika seedlings based on visible/near-infrared (VIS/NIR) hyperspctral image and chlorophyll content data. As the partial least squares (PLS) regression model was applied to the calibration data, seven significant wavelengths of 477, 501, 543, 647, 680, 704, and 751 nm were selected and in the stepwise multiple linear regression (SMLR) model, three wavelengths of 680, 704, and 803 nm were selected. The coefficients of determination of the PLS regression model and SMLR model for validation data were 0.70 and 0.59, respectively. The root mean square deviations of the PLS regression and SMLR model were 6.89 and 8.01, respectively. These results show the potential of VIS/NIR hyperspectral imaging technology with a proper model as a nondestructive method for detecting temperature stress of paprika seedlings.

At the 21st General Assembly of the Parties in 2015, the Paris Agreement, which will be the basis of a new climate system in which all countries participate, was adopted from 2020, and a system in which all countries participate in GHG reduction was established to reflect their own circumstances. Korea should reduce a total of 276.5 million tons compared to BAU (850.8 million tons) in 2030, and the agricultural and livestock sector should reduce 1.6 million tons. In order to achieve this, this study was conducted because it was necessary to identify major greenhouse gas sources. The criteria for the year of use were divided into three stages: 5 years or less, 6 to 10 years, and 11 years or more, and 18 agricultural heaters actually used by farms were set, and gas from exhaust pipes was collected and analyzed. As an analysis device, a gas chromatography system (Agilent technologies 7890B) was used, and as a result of the analysis, the average carbon dioxide emission concentration was 971.83 μmol/mol for 5 years or less, 1,209.83 μmol/mol for 6 years or more and 10 years or less, and 1,268.5 μmol for 11 years or more. More samples will be required for accurate results, but when comparing each value, it is judged that there is a difference in carbon dioxide emission concentration depending on the year of use of the agricultural heaters.
