초록보기

『Jang-jin-yo-pyeon』 is a medical book on acupuncture, published in 1894 by Song-gye. 『Jang-jin-yo-pyeon』 could not be seen in Korea, but it was published and made known in Japan by the disciples of the acupuncturist Yanagiya-Sorei, who took it to Japan during the Japanese colonial period.
In 『Jang-jin-yo-pyeon』, the patient's constitution was more important than the severity of the disease. In 『Jang-jin-yo-pyeon』, it seems to have been applied to the Eight Confluent Acupoints by classifying it according to weakness and strength, outside and inside, cold and heat, dry and wet.
Referring to Kim Hong-kyung's theory of Saam acupuncture, In 『Jang-jin-yo-pyeon』, it can be seen that he tried to control the human body with eight acupuncture points : (SI3-LU7) to treat strength and weakness, (TE5-PC6) to treat the outside and inside, (BL62-KI5) to treat cold and heat, and (GB15-SP4) to treat dryness and moisture. It can be seen that the intention was to tune the metabolism of the human body by limiting the application of only 8 types of acupoints placed in a relative relationship.
This book is also one of the cases that proves that the acupuncture method of Joseon during the Japanese colonial period spread to Japan and contributed to the development of modern acupuncture. Through this case, it is presumed that the indigenous acupuncture methods of Joseon, which had been handed down for a long time, were cut off in the process of transition to the modern era, or that many traditional knowledge of Korean medicine was lost due to historical tragedies such as the Japanese colonial period or the Korean War.
Efforts to discover and re-illuminate these traditional Korean acupuncture treatments so that they can be used in clinical practice are also thought to be a way to learn the old and learn the new.

Objectives : This study compared and reviewed SAAM acupuncture method and traditional treatment method through literature study in the treatment of Low Back Pain.
Methods : We investigated the literature for SAAM acupuncture and NaeKyung (內經) and DongUiBoGam (東醫寶鑑) acupuncture treatment for Low Back Pain.
Results & conclusions : The use of LU and LI for the treatment of low back pain in SAAM Acupuncture is a unique view of Saam Acupuncture, which is different from NaeKyung (內經) and DongUiBoGam (東醫寶鑑). In particular, in the SAAM acupuncture method, LI was considered more important, breaking the existing doctrine that emphasized BL in the treatment of Low Back Pain. The diagnostic point of LU is a curved spine, and the diagnostic point of LI is the appearance of a lump on the LI pathway under the ear. The symptoms of LR, GB, BL, SP, ST, KI except for Lu and LI among the 8 meridians used to treat Low Back Pain in SAAM acupuncture are similar to those of NaeKyung (內經). In the SAAM acupuncture method, the diagnosis according to the meridians is more important than the diagnosis according to the cause of the disease in the treatment of Low Back Pain.

Background: Sa-Ahm's acupuncture theory is well known of its basic Jung·Seung·Han·Yeol Gyuk formulas. However, it is impossible to treat various symptoms by only using those four formulas, and is also recognized as the limitation that needs to be overcome. To this end, the modified combinations recorded in Chim Gu You Gyuel other than Jung·Seung· Han·Yeol Gyuk are analyzed in this study.
Objective: To analyze the modified combinations that are recorded in Sa-Ahm Doin Chim Gu You Gyuel, in order to acquire the knowledge of how to alleviate symptoms that are difficult to treat with Jung·Seung·Han·Yeol Gyuk.
Methods: Sa-Ahm Doin Chim Gu You Gyul is composed of 42 diseases including more than 250 acupoint combinations. Among these, approximately 30% of the total cases are modified combinations, and 66 cases of the modified combinations are selected to be analyzed.
Result: There are 9 types of tonifying combination and more than 40 types of sedating combination. The tonifying combination types are mostly composed by Won acupoint (原经穴, the acupoint that represents the same element of its own meridian; HT8 of Heart meridian, LU8 of Lung meridian, and etc) with Bon acupoint (本经穴, 5-Shu acupoints other than Won acupoint) that is related with the symptoms. The other tonifying combinations have unlimited relations such as PyoLi (表里), SangSaeng (相生), SangGeuk (相克) or even extra acupoints (特穴).
Sedating combination of more than 40 types are very diverse but can be classified by 'sedate controller', 'sedate mother', 'sedate son', 'sedate its own meridian', 'sedate water controller', 'sedate fire controller', 'connect with other meridians (sedate another meridian than the tonified meridian to link its function)', and so on.
Conclusions: Jung·Seung·Han·Yeol Gyuk are the basics of Sa-Ahm's acupuncture theory which have excellent clinical efficacy to relatively general symptoms, but when symptoms get complicated to certain degree the clinical efficacy is declined. The acupuncture treatment should include both the tonifying and sedating aspect, and the outcome of the acupuncture treatment is determined by the sedating aspect which makes it very important how to apply the sedating aspect. In addition, Sa-Ahm's acupuncture theory is a kind of five element acupuncture technique. Therefore, composing the acupoints by pondering the result according by five element theory and six qi relation will lead to outstanding clinical effect to various symptoms, and this brings out the necessity of analyzing the modified combination.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to systematize and structure the Psychology of Korean Neo-Confucianism as a mental theory by comparing with the Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy.
Method : We summarized the main concepts of the Satir transformational Systemic Therapy and compared it with the concepts of the Psychology of Korean Medicine based on Neo-Confucianism as a mental theory, supplementing the weakness and strengthening the merits of the Psychology of Korean Medicine.
Results and conclusions : We examined the similar parts and differences through the study comparing Satir transformational systemic therapy with the psychology of Korean medicine based on Neo-Confucianims. Through this process, the Psychology of Korean Medicine can be more systemized and embodied.
Satir transformational systemic therapy and the psychology of Korean medicine based on Neo-Confucianims have the following similarities and differences.
1. Both theories have a positive view of human beings and a belief in possibility based on the theory of human nature as original goodness.
2. Iceberg metaphor and Korean medicine cognitive theory are tools to help us to understand the human mind hierarchically. They are similar in general, but have different structures.
3. The 7 stages of change model has a similar structure of the Five Phases theory, which is the basic principle of change in oriental philosophy and Korean medicine, and it can explain the mental changes of human being.
4. The 4 types of communication in Satir can be further embodied as the communication types of 6 qi-personality types in Korean medicine.
Based on the above study, mind observation paper using the Korean medicine cognitive theory, five phases change process, three yin and three yang communication types are developed. The limitation is that Satir's theory was limitedly absorbed in order to systematize and embody the Psychology of Korean medicine.

I described how to discriminate the symptoms of a disease and use the Saam acupuncture method by placing a pulse on the wrist and applying the pulse. It is true that the method of linking the pulse to the clinical practice is not unified and varied. In this reality, I connected Kim Hong-kyung's Saam acupuncture methods and pulse diagnosis method.
It is easy to understand if the pulse is divided into yin and yang according to the criteria. If the pulse is assigned to the five elements, it can be applied to the diagnosis of the five elements in Saam acupuncture method. By assigning the pulse to the six qi, the pulse can be substituted for the meridian composed of the six qi and the five elements.
Among the Saam acupuncture methods of Kim Hong-kyung, the classification of pulses is useful in the Samboo acupuncture method, which finds and treats the two most excessive five elements. In addition, by classifying the twenty-eight pulses into the five elements and discriminating the symptoms of disease, it can be applied to various acupuncture methods such as Samboo acupuncture.
So far, I have looked at Saam acupuncture method and pulse. Although only Kim Hong-kyung's Saam acupuncture method analyzed the pulse, it can be applied to various Korean medicine treatments in the future.
