초록보기

In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, virtual reality (VR) technology is emerging as an optimized tool for learning foreign languages in light of current circumstances requiring non-face-to-face education. The combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and VR has increased the demand for VR-based foreign language learning contents. VR enables learners to learn new languages and experience different cultures through immersive experiences by teleporting the users to the country where a target language is spoken. It also provides dynamic and proactive learning through various interactions. Thus, this study examines the effects of VR in learning foreign languages and investigates the types and characteristics of VR-based foreign language learning contents currently in use. In addition, this study suggests major issues to be considered for the contents and technical composition of the contents by identifying what should be improved and benchmarked for developing VR-based French learning contents.

초록보기

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of yoga exercise within the color lighting environment on the senior citizens' exercise flow and the electroencephalogram (EEG). In this study, a yoga exercise program was conducted once a week for 19 senior citizens living in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study. As for the experimental design of the study, utilizing a within-subject design, it was conducted by using a randomized crossover trial based on the 2 types of experiments such as by treating them with the color lighting environment and treating them with the white lighting environment for the lighting environment for the yoga participants. A one week interval was placed so as not to influence the measurement results during the measurement. As for the EEG test, measurement was taken by attaching 2 channels to the frontal lobe on the right and left, and as for the exercise flow, the exercise flow measurement consisted of the 5 sub factors of Clear Goals, Sense of Control, Loss of Self-Consciousness, Transformation of Time, and Autotelic Experience were used. The EEG test was conducted before and after the yoga exercise, and the exercise flow questionnaire was required to be prepared after the yoga exercise. The results of this study have demonstrated significant changes in the Theta wave, Alpha wave, and the Gamma wave following the exercise flow in the color lighting environment. To the contrary, the Low-Beta waves, Middle-Beta waves, and the High-Beta waves demonstrated no significant changes. Hence, it can be concluded that the exercise flow following the color lighting environment of the yoga participating senior citizens increases the Alpha waves and the Theta waves, while reducing the Gamma waves. Such results of this study are significant in that they present the basic data on the physiological responses of the yoga studies for which color lighting is applied in Korea in the future.

초록보기

The present study aimed to investigate the oral health of the elderly since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and to examine the associated problems in depth. The actual condition of the oral hygiene management of the elderly was investigated by interviewing care workers who have been caring for the elderly for more than three years in nursing homes, nursing hospitals, and home-based care service centers in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas. Three categories were identified based on the results of in-depth interviews: oral health of the elderly, education of care workers for oral health care of the elderly, and changes following the COVID-19 pandemic. The main topics included the oral condition of the elderly, oral healthcare for the elderly, differences based on facilities and guardians, need for support, current status of education for oral healthcare for the elderly, willingness to participate in education for oral healthcare for the elderly, desired type of education, depression and atrophy in the elderly, anxiety of care workers, and difficulties associated with oral health problems in the elderly. Based on the above results, there was no significant difference in the oral health care methods of the elderly since the COVID-19 pandemic, but situations in which it is difficult to receive treatment smoothly when a health or oral health problem occurred were having a negative effect on the health of the elderly.

The purpose of this study was to examine and understand the effect on the exercise flow, electroencephalogram (EEG), and the photoplethysmography (PPG) following the senior citizens' yoga participation experience. The subjects of this study were 19 senior citizens living in City I who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study, who were classified into those who are experienced in yoga (n=9) and those who were not experienced in yoga (n=10). The yoga exercise program lasted 60 minutes. After the yoga exercise program was completed, the EEG and PPG were measured, and the exercise flow survey questionnaires were prepared. As for the data processing method, the SPSS 23.0 Version for Windows was used to conduct the independent t-test, and the following results were secured. First, there are differences in the exercise flow depending on whether they were experienced in the yoga participation, yet they were not significant. Second, there were significant differences in L-Beta, M-Beta, H-Beta, Gamma, and the brain health indicators of Brain Stress and Brain Score (p<.05), depending on the experience of the senior citizens participating in yoga. Third, there were significant differences in HRV-INDEX, parasympathetic neuronal activities, and autonomic neuronal activities (p<.05), depending on the experience of the senior citizens participating in yoga. As a result of this study, it was apparent that there were differences in the EEG and PPG depending on whether the senior citizens were experienced in the yoga participation, and such results can be expected to serve as the basic data for the research of the ways to participate in the sustainable exercise along with the intent to exercise.

In the case of Korea, the reason why the public is very interested in the education system related to the university entrance exam is that the university entrance exam is evaluated as a big factor influencing life, such as those who graduated from prestigious universities occupying a superior position in society in terms of employment. On the other hand, in Canada, the university entrance policy is not discussed in the public debate. This is because the goal of Canadian school education is to strengthen students' competencies and vocational training for social advancement. Therefore, in this study, the characteristics of Canada's education system and university entrance examination were examined, and through this study, the implications for the improvement of our university entrance examination system were investigated. This study emphasizes the universality of Korea's university education as in the case of Canada at a national quality level.

초록보기

The purpose of this study is to examine the level and intensity of emotional labor of dental hygienists and seek ways to increase job satisfaction by minimizing emotional labor. Dental hygienists working at dental clinics in Seoul and Gyeonggi regions were surveyed via a self-written questionnaire using a random sampling method. The results of analyzing data from a total of 251 dental hygienists surveyed are as follows; 1. Emotional labor scored 3.40 points, emotional harmony 3.91 points, emotional discord 2.95 points, and emotional damage 3.33 points. 2. The higher the surface acting when dealing with customers, the higher the superficial behavior, customer rudeness, discrimination, and emotional repression, and the higher the discrimination, the higher the surface acting when responding to customers, superficial behavior, and customer rudeness. The higher the inner behavior, the higher the emotional repression, but the lower the superficial behavior and discrimination. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize the importance of emotional labor management for dental hygienists, and managers and middle managers need to devise management measures to minimize emotional labor at an organizational level. along with efforts made by dental hygienists.
