Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine and categorize the cognitive structure of fatigue in hemodialysis patients through the Q methodology. This study attempted to understand the characteristics of fatigue types in hemodialysis patients and to present nursing intervention programs and strategies to recover from fatigue. Methods: Q-methodology, which provides a process of analyzing the subjectivity of each item, was used. Twenty-nine selected Q-statements were extracted based on data analyzed through literature review and in-depth interviews. The 27 hemodialysis patients who participated in the study were classified into Q according to the principle of normal distribution on a 7-point scale. Collected data were analyzed by the PC-QUANL program. Results: It was extracted into five types: bio-rhythm change sensitive type, negative emotional response type, support-based dependence type, human relationship restriction type, and life-wide fatigue perception type. Conclusion: This study suggested that the response strategies should be applied differently to match the kind of fatigue felt by hemodialysis patients. Therefore, It is expected to be the basis for the review and supplementation of the nursing intervention provision process that can improve the quality of nursing provided to hemodialysis patients and increase their satisfaction with hemodialysis patients.

Purpose: This study investigated the effects of the morality enhancement program based on situation learning for nursing students. Method: This is an experimental design study before and after the non-equivalent control group. The participants were nursing students assigned either to an experimental or a control group. The experimental group participated in the morality enhancement program based on situational learning, which was conducted in two weekly sessions for 120 minutes for eight sessions. The data was collected from March to April 2019. The data were analyzed using the χ2 test, an independent t-test with the IBM SPSS for Windows (version 25.0) statistics program. Result: We found that moral sensitivity (exp 162.50±13.88, con 144.50±24.30; t=3.52, p=.001), moral motivation (exp 176.17±23.43, con 159.27±28.15; t=2.50, p=.015), moral character (exp 187.21±16.79, con 164.97±28.81; t=2.87, p=.006), moral judgment was P(%) score (exp 37.79±5.51, con 38.25±3.58; t=-.38, p=.702) and N2 score (exp 56.14±6.75, con 52.01±7.63; t=2.22, p=.030) after program. Conclusion: It was found that the morality enhancement program based on situation learning in this study was effective in improving the moral sensitivity, moral motivation, and moral character of nursing student first graders.

Purpose: This study aimed to describe the effects of Christian nursing students' spiritual maturity, sense of calling, and career identity on nursing professional values. Through this, it will provide basic data for developing the program and preparing a plan to improve the nursing professional values of Christian nursing students. Methods: A descriptive survey was conducted. Data were collected from 181 Christian nursing students from June to July 2018 through a structured self-filling questionnaire. Results: Their nursing professional values level was 3.96±0.52. Nursing professional values had a positive correlation with spiritual maturity (r=0.29, p<.001), sense of calling (r=.28, p<.001), and career identity (r=.41, p<.001). Factors influencing nursing professional values by multiple regression were identified as career identity (β=.27, p=.002), spiritual maturity (β=.21, p=.015), and satisfaction with life (β=.17, p=.028) (Adj R2=.229). Conclusion: The findings suggest that to enhance Christian nursing students' positive nursing professional values, it is necessary to consider effectively integrating and operating a substantial career exploration program and faith training program.

Purpose: This study aims to identify the COVID-19 confirmation experience of nursing students using phenomenological research methods. Methods: The participants were nine fourth-grade nursing students confirmed with COVID-19. In-depth interviews were conducted from March to April 2022. The data analysis was performed by Giorgi's phenomenological method. Results: The results of this study were derived from 9 components and 22 sub-components. Components were "Ambivalence over precertain infection", "Anxiety about COVID-19 confirmation notice", "Hardships to endure during quarantine", "Unexpected break during quarantine", "Attitudes to help you adjust after release from quarantine", "Increased awareness of infectious diseases", "Ambivalence about reinfection", "Adaptive attitudes to coping with infectious diseases", "Learn the posture as preliminary nurse". Conclusion: The fourth-grade nursing students showed higher anxiety about practice or employment after COVID-19 confirmation with higher work and academic stress, and positive thinking change was an adaptive coping strategy to cope with infectious diseases. Therefore, it is thought that it will be helpful for nursing students to validate various negative emotions and convert them into positive perspectives after confirming them as a method for anxiety management.

Purpose: This study was conducted to verify the effects of a self-management promotion program for hemodialysis patients on self-efficacy, knowledge about hemodialysis, self-care compliance, dysfunctional cognition about sleep, and insomnia. Methods: 49 hemodialysis patients in this study participated in a non-equivalent control group pre-post test design. The experimental group attended a 10-session self-management promotion program for hemodialysis patients. The study measurements such as self-efficacy, knowledge about self-care, compliance with self-care, dysfunctional cognition about sleep, and insomnia severity index were used to evaluate the program's effect. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, standard deviation, χ2-test, Fisher's exact test, and independent two-sample t-test using the IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0 program. Results: Self-efficacy (t=3.68, p=.001), knowledge about self-care (t=2.96, p=.005), compliance with self-care (t=2.76, p=.008), dysfunctional cognition about sleep (t=-4.25, p<.001), and insomnia (t=-5.91, p<.001) were significantly different in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: The self-management promotion program effectively improved self-efficacy, knowledge about self-care, compliance with self-care, and decreased dysfunctional cognition and insomnia in hemodialysis patients. Therefore, this self-management promotion program can increase self-care behavior and reduce insomnia for hemodialysis patients.

Purpose: This study aimed to explore factors affecting dating sexual violence experience, focusing on the female nursing students' general characteristics, gender sensitivity, and sexual assertiveness. Methods: As a descriptive correlational study design, data were collected by self-reported questionnaires from 138 female nursing students. The data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA with Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS version 27.0. Results: Female nursing students who reported dating sexual violence experience showed higher gender sensitivity and lower sexual assertiveness. Significant factors affecting dating violence experience were gender sensitivity (β=0.24, p=.020), sexual assertiveness (β=-0.33, p=.002), and the number (β=-0.23, p=.011) and duration (β=-0.22, p=.011) of the dating relationship. These variables explained 15% of the variance in the model for the dating sexual violence experience. Conclusion: This study indicated that gender sensitivity and sexual assertiveness were related to the dating sexual violence experience. These results suggest the need for education against dating sexual violence victims' experiences for nursing college students, considering gender sensitivity and sexual assertiveness.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the influencing factors of COVID-19-related health behavior based on health belief models and supplementing health literacy for middle and high school teachers. Methods: Data was collected with structured self-report online questionnaires from 93 middle and high school teachers in Seoul and the metropolitan area and analyzed with descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis using SPSS/PC 23.0. Results: From the study results, it was shown that COVID-19 health behavior was significantly influenced by the subjects' distinguishing factors of education level, and exercise. However, the significant influences of those characteristics were changed to be insignificant when the psychosocial variables were included in the regression model. Among psychosocial factors, perceived benefit, self-efficacy, health social support, and literacy significantly influenced COVID-19 health behavior. Conclusion: The results of this study might be used as a base to develop a health education program for other infectious or pandemic diseases for middle and high school teachers. It is necessary to conduct further studies for various groups at various points in the outbreak of contagious diseases.

Purpose: This study aims to understand the perception of pediatric hospice palliative care and the meaning of life of undergraduate nursing students. Methods: To achieve the study's purpose, 136 nursing students were surveyed, and the results were analyzed with SPSS Statistics using an independent t-test. Results: The nursing students' perception of pediatric hospice and palliative care was positive. The meaning of life according to perceptions of pediatric hospice and palliative care showed a significant difference in awareness of the necessity of pediatric hospice and palliative care wards in university hospitals. Finally, education on insufficient knowledge of pediatric hospice and palliative care is needed. Conclusion: Based on these research results, we would like to present implications for nursing students' effective education on pediatric hospice and palliative care.

Purpose: The study aimed to understand and describe the experiences of breastfeeding failure of primiparas within three months after childbirth. Methods: Data were collected through individual in-depth interviews of 6 primiparas from May 2022 to June 2022, and the transcribed data were analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological six-step method. Results: 6 theme clusters and 13 themes were extracted from meaningful statements about the primiparas' experience of breastfeeding failure within three months after childbirth. The six thematic clusters are "Preparation and Expectation of Breastfeeding during Pregnancy", "Barriers to Breastfeeding after Childbirth", "Efforts to Continue Breastfeeding", "Conflicts on Stopping Breastfeeding", "Decision to Stop Breastfeeding', and Regret Coming from Breastfeeding Failure.” Conclusion: By profoundly understanding the experiences of primiparas who fail to breastfeed early after childbirth, this study will be able to provide evidence for effective ways to continue breastfeeding and to develop educational programs.
