Recently, as interest in eco-friendliness grows, the supply of hybrid electric vehicles and pure electric vehicles (EVs) for improving fuel efficiency of automobiles is rapidly expanding. The average daily energy consumption of electric vehicles is less than 20 [%] of the total ESS capacity of the vehicle, and research on additional functions using the ESS of the vehicle is urgently needed to expand the supply of electric vehicles. V2H(Vehicle to Home), like V2G(Vehicle to Grid), includes the concept of cooperating with system stabilization using ESS of electric vehicles. In addition, it includes various operations that can realize home welfare, such as uninterrupted power supply in case of power outage at home, and power supply for home DC devices. Therefore, in order to expand the supply of eco-friendly electric vehicles, it is urgently required to develop a V2H system with various functions that can realize home welfare. In this paper, we propose a V2H system with a CLLC resonant converter and a non-isolated step-up converter that can solve different impedance and resonant frequencies depending on the power transfer direction. The proposed V2H system is 6 [ kVA] applicable to 150-450 [V], the voltage range that can use the ESS voltage for electric vehicles, and is designed with a capacity that can handle instantaneous electricity use at home. In addition, in order to verify the feasibility, an experiment by Psim simulation and prototype production was performed.

The objective of this article is finding optimized locations of active mounts applied to 6-DOF beam structure with two active paths. When sinusoidal excitation forces are applied to the beam structure, secondary forces from two active mounts which can minimize (ideally becoming zero) transmitted forces are calculated mathematically and the vibration attenuation performance is validated through computer simulations. When the force applied to two active mounts are relatively low, those specific locations are considered as optimized location of active mounting system. As the location of mount changes, amplitude and phase of secondary forces in each path are analyzed with 3D plots. Based on the simulation results, a criterion for selecting mounting location is suggested and it would be very useful for selecting actuators for active mounts appropriately.

In this paper, we describe performances of P-PD controllers in the quadrotor system with steady-state error compensation by adding a corrective term to the system input. A decentralized control system using P-PD controllers was successfully implemented on a quadrotor platform. We also presented the results of a mathematical modeling analysis for control the quadrotor and experimental results for each response performance according to the heading reference value in accordance with the mathematical modeling and P-PD controller design. A control experiment with the real system was implemented for the test platform, and the results were evaluated and compared.

This study proposed a new approach to intelligent control of a mobile robot system by back properpagation based on multi-layer neural network. A experiment result is given in which some artificial assumptions about the linear and the angluar velocities of mobile robots from recent literature are dropped. In this study, we proposed a new thinique to impliment the real time conrol of he position and velocity of mobile robots. With the proposed control techinique, mobile robots can now globally follow any path such as a straight line, a circle and the path approaching th toe origin using proposed controller. Computer simulations are presented, which confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm. Moreover, practical experimental results concerning the real time control are reported with several real line constraints for mobile robots with two wheel driving.

This paper is the research result of designing and developing a BLDC motor for driving a condenser fan, which is widely used in air conditioners of commercial vehicles and specially equipped vehicles, and produced with a target value. The design of the motor was carried out in the order of designing the electric and magnetic circuits after determining the motor specifications. The process was repeated with different set values until the designed target condition was satisfied, and the electric and magnetic field distributions were made to be equal by reflecting the characteristics of the material. As a structural feature of the motor, it is a rotating field type composed of multipoles, and has a structure in which a permanent magnet is attached to the surface of the rotor. The manufactured BLDC motor is a 3-phase square wave driving method, with a rated voltage of 24 [V], a rotational speed of 2,500 [rpm], a rated current of 10 [A], and a power consumption of 180 [W]. A microcontroller for driving and controlling the motor was also manufactured.

Before making a prototype, we predicted the inlet/outlet differential pressure and flow coefficient, which are the most basic design data for the valve through the design and numerical analysis of the trim, which is the most important in the localization development of the 1500Ib high differential pressure control valve used for boiler feed water. As a result, the design value and the analysis value were found to be about 98% similar. The flow field within the fluid velocity of 23m/s to prevent cavitation was also found. The result of the numerical analysis on thermal stress due to the characteristics of valves exposed to high temperatures showed that it was found to be about 18% less than the allowable stress of the bolt fixing the trim. When all loads such as pressure, self-weight, and vibration are applied, however, it is judged to go beyond the currently calculated thermal stress, exceeding the allowable stress.

Continuous global warming is causing ecosystem destruction and direct damage to human life. The main cause of global warming is greenhouse gases, which account for more than 90 % of carbon dioxide. The leaders of each country signed the Paris Agreement at the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Currently, the total amount of CO2 emitted from South Korea is 664.7 million tons as of 2018, ranking eighth in the world. 37 % of South Korea's total CO2 emissions come from the construction & building field, especially the cement production, which is a construction material. Carbon reduction technologies can be largely divided into four types: carbon reduction (CC), carbon reduction and storage technology (CCS), carbon reduction and utilization technology (CCU), and carbon reduction, storage and utilization technology (CCUS). Overseas, CCUS technology is mainly applied to reduce and store CO2 emitted from construction and construction field. A technology for permanently storing CO2 through mineralization by capturing CO2 and utilizing CO2 into a cement production process was developed, and this technology is applied to the entire cement industry. However, the development of CCUS technology applicable to the cement industry is still insignificant in South Korea. In this study, carbon dioxide reduction technology and methods for reducing carbon dioxide emitted during the cement manufacturing process, which is the main component of concrete mainly used in civil engineering construction, were investigated. Overseas, it has reached the commercialization stage beyond the demonstration stage as a way to reduce carbon dioxide by vomiting carbonation reactions. Accordingly, if carbon dioxide reduction plan technology generated during cement manufacturing is developed based on domestic technology differentiated from foreign technology, it is expected to contribute one more step to the carbon neutrality policy.

The white plume from the cooling tower can be generated by mixing between discharging hot and humid air and cold air outside. This causes various problems such as icing, traffic disturbances, and fire factors in the vicinity, moreover it can also damage the image of a company. Various methods can be used to prevent white plume, one of them is to install a heat exchanger at the outlet of the cooling tower so that the heat exchanger transfers as much heat as possible to lower the temperature. Therefore the air flow path in the cooling tower should be optimized. Installation of the filler can be used to make the air flow better, thus we investigate the effect of filler on the air flow using CFD method. The pressure and velocity profile in the cooling tower could be acquired by the calculations. The filler made the velocity of the air entering the heat exchanger uniform this was because high flow resistance of the filler suppresses the generation of eddy in the cooling tower. But the total air pressure drop increased about 2 times with filler because the pressure drop by the filler accounted for about 60% of the total pressure drop.

Corrosion can cause dangerous and expensive damage and failures of ship hulls and equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain the vessel by periodic corrosion inspections. During visual inspection, many corrosion locations are inaccessible for many reasons, especially safety's point of view. Including subjective decisions of inspectors is one of the issues of visual inspection. Automation of visual inspection is tried by many pieces of research. In this study, we propose image preprocessing methods by image patch segmentation and thresholding. YOLOv5 was used as an object detection model after the image preprocessing. Finally, it was evaluated that corrosion detection performance using the proposed method was improved in terms of mean average precision.

In the 2000s, a lot of cable-type grand bridges are being built in consideration of economic aspects such as the reduction of logistics costs and the distribution of traffic volume due to rapid economic development. In addition, because the recently installed grand bridges are designed in an aesthetic form that matches the surrounding environment as well as the original function of the road bridge, and serves as a milestone in an area and is used as an excellent tourism resource, attracting many vehicles and people, there is an urgent need for a safety structure that can ensure the safety of not only vehicles but also people. In order to make cable-stayed bridge safe on wind for additional five safety structures, main girder models with and without safety structures for wind-tunnel experiments was made, and wind tunnel experiments was carried out to measure aerodynamic force coefficients. Also, wind-resistant analyses of 3D cable-stayed bridge were performed on the basis of wind-tunnel experiment results. From the wind tunnel experiments for the aerodynamic force coefficients of main girder with five safety structures and the wind resistant analyses of cable-stayed bridge without safety structure and with safety structure, it was concluded that the best form of wind-resistant safety was shown in the order of mesh, standard, bracing, hollow, and closed type. And wind-resistant safety of cable-stayed bridge with hollow and closed type on design wind speed 68.0m/sec was not secured. Finally, as five safety structures are installed, maximum rate of stress increments was shown in the order of steel main beam, steel floor beam, concrete floor beam and cables.
