This study investigated the effect of fly ash content on the isothermal hydration heat of cement pastes. Two different pastes with fly ash content were studied to cure at 35°C. The hydration heat flow deceleration stage of slurry was simulated and compared by Jander Equation and Ginstling-Brounshtein Equation. The results show that Jander Equation and Ginstling-Brounshtein Equation have certain defects in the modeling of the deceleration stage of the heat flow of cement fly ash paste, and the fitted curve can not describe the deceleration stage well.

In order to examine the adhesion characteristics of road pavement according to environmental conditions, the freezing time of cement mortar and the adhesion performance between ice and pavement were evaluated depending on the presence or absence of polymer and water repellent. As a result of measuring the ice formation time, it was found that there was no delay when a polymer was added, but the complete freezing time was delayed when a water repellent was added. As a result of measuring the strength of ice adhesion, it was found that the bonding force between ice and the surface of the test body was greatly generated in the test body without water repellent. In the case of a test specimen to which a water repellent was added, it was found that the bonding strength between the test specimen surface and ice was reduced.

Carbon dioxide emissions in the construction sector account for 38% of all industries, and environmental destruction is occurring due to indiscriminate use of natural resources. The purpose of this study is to develop by-product aggregate Non-Sintered Cement(NSC) that can replace sand used as natural aggregate and Portland cement . Therefore, Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag, Type C Fly Ash and Type F Fly Ash are used to replace cement, and water granulated ferro-nickel slag(FNS) is used to replace aggregate. The flow, compressive strength and flexural strength of the formulation using sand as an aggregate and the formulation replacing 100% FNS were compared. As a result of the experiment, the formulation using FNS had higher overall strength than the formulation using sand, and as the substitution rate of Type C fly ash increased, the strength was the best. Formulation using FNS is more fluid than using sand. Through this study, we show the possibility of 100% substitution of FNS and its applicability to secondary concrete products of by-product aggregate NSC.

Portland Limestone Cement (PLC) is a blended cement using limestone powder as SCMs (Supplementary Cementitious Materials), and is currently regarded as an essential means for achieving carbon neutral in the cement industry. This study was performed to investigate the fresh and hardened properties of cement mortar according to the fineness and replacement ratio of limestone powder. As a result, the compressive strength of mortar used high blaine limestone powder were equivalent level of that of OPC.

In order to improve the strength degradation of the cement-based material to which strong alkaline liquid red mud was added, the liquid red mud was neutralized with sulfuric acid and added to the cement paste to examine the mechanical properties according to the amount added. As a result of measuring the compressive strength, the strength was higher when the red mud was neutralized with sulfuric acid and added to the cement paste than the cement paste to which the liquid red mud was added. As a result of hydration heat measurement, when red mud was neutralized with sulfuric acid and added to the cement paste, an initial strength higher than that of liquid red mud was expressed.

In this study, glued laminated timber were manufactured by different types of adhesives for larch and spruce. Adhesives used to manufacture glued laminated timber include resorcinol resin, phenol resorcinol resin, melamine resin, and polyurethane. The char thickness and char rate according to the type of adhesive forglued laminated timber were analyzed. Melamine, resorcinol, and polyurethane showed excellent fire resistance performance in that order.

There is a limit to preventing various types of safety accidents in advance at construction sites. Even for buildings of the same total floor area, it is expected that the more complex the building shape or the higher the number of floors, the higher the probability of a safety accident. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the effect of the shape of a building on safety accidents using safety accident data generated during actual construction. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of building shape on safety accidents. As a result, the R2 value of shape factor and safety accident was 0.901, and the R2 value of construction difficulty and safety accident was 0.944. In the future, the results of this study will be used as basic data for improving safety management related systems.

Tile defects in apartment houses are caused by a combination of various factors. These factors cannot be specified, and it is difficult to determine the exact cause because a number of causes are intertwined. In addition, because the climate of Korea is different by season, the coefficient of thermal expansion between materials is different, which is a major cause of tile defects. Therefore, this study analyzed the difference between the construction location and the period of defect occurrence according to the types of tile defects caused by environmental differences between indoor and outdoor environments. Two-way ANOVA was used, indoor and outdoor spaces were selected, and defect types were selected accordingly to show the difference in the occurrence period of each defect.

The construction industry has more safety accidents than other industries. Although there have been more attempts to reduce safety hazards in the industry such as the enforcement of the "Serious Accidents Punishment Act (SAPA)", construction accident has not been reduced enough. In this study, analysis of safety risk factors has been made through Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA)-based topic modeling. Risk analysis in construction site would be improved with natural language processing and topic modeling.
