In this study, in the coating-sheet composite waterproofing method, a specimen was formed to prevent the transmission of the no-node tensile stress occurring under the junction between sheets by forming an insulating structure when the junction was formed, and to compare the effect of preventing breakage with the existing common junction. For this, tensile performance evaluation was conducted. As a result of the evaluation, it was confirmed that it exhibited higher tensile strength compared to the existing joint and at the same time exhibited a large width of displacement characteristics, and thus, had an effect of preventing breakage.

3D printing has the unique advantage of the ability to customize freeform products even in small quantities. It was recently applied successfully in the node connection system for the irregular shaped glass design of Gwanggyo Galleria Department Store. This was achieved by applying 3D printing technology for an innovative smart node design. The novel system offers flexibility to address various design challenges in addition to maximizing construction quality and reducing construction period. In this paper, we aim to examine the use of 3D printing based innovative technologies in the construction industry. With this aim in mind, we present the case of the Gwanggyo Galleria Department Store's smart nodes. The key objective of this study is creating awareness in the construction industry of the need to utilize fourth industrial revolution technology in architecture.

FCP requires different curvatures and shapes according to the method of division, and it is necessary to manufacture a formwork accordingly. FCP production equipment consists of CNC equipment and side shape control equipment. This can be implemented in various shapes of upper, lower, and side surfaces. In the side shape control equipment, it is implemented as a variable side formwork. Among the required performance of the variable side formwork, there is stiffness against side pressure, which needs to be verified. Therefore, in this study, the FCP fabrication experiment is conducted with the developed variable side formwork. By analyzing the error in the shape of the fabricated FCP, the lateral pressure resistance capability of the side form is measured and verified.

As concrete is used in many construction works, the use of aggregates is increasing. However, supply and demand of high-quality aggregates has become difficult recently, and although circular aggregates that recycle construction waste are used, the performance of concrete, such as liquidity and strength, are being reduced due to defective aggregates. As a result, quality tests such as sieve analysis test are conducted, but a lot of waste occurs such as time and manpower. To solve this problem, this study was conducted to measure the assembly rate of fine aggregate, which accounts for about 35% of the concrete volume, using Deep Learning.

Methods for the manufacture, erection, and assembly of heavy frame modules were proposed. Interferences among precast members were prevented by using bolted metal plates for dry precast beam-to-column joints during assembly with a clearance for tolerance implementing grouted concrete filler plates instead of metal filler plates. Clearances for tolerances were provided to avoid conflictions among components during erection phases. These gaps were, then, grouted by high-strength mortar. The constructability of new connections of a beam-to-column joint using bolted metal plates for precast structures was examined using a full-scale assembly test in which practical observations indicated that members could be aligned and placed accurately in both horizontal and vertical directions, leading to a fast and convenient assembling. Bolt holes of the endplate were properly aligned using couplers with 30 mm fastened length embedded in the columns. The assembly test demonstrated the erection safety and structural stability of the proposed joints that were without filler plates when they were subjected to heavy loads at the time of their erection. The facile and rapid assembly of precast beam-to-column connections with a 30 mm tolerance was observed. The proposed assembly method is rapid, sustainable, and resilient, replacing the conventional methods of concrete frame construction, offering a connection that can be used in constructing infrastructure, such as buildings and pipe-rack frames.

Recently, the size of tiles used for bathroom walls in apartment houses is gradually increasing in size. The problem is that when these large-sized tiles are attached by the sticking method, due to the nature of the method, there is a concern about the stability of the attachment to the part (pupil) where the tile and the adhesive are not attached. The problem is serious as it leads to lawsuits in the outbreak court. In addition, it is urgent to verify the adhesion stability of the sticking method because secondary damage occurs due to a safety accident caused by the falling of the tile. Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport [Investigation of defects in apartment houses, calculation of repair cost and defect determination criteria] ① The tile adhesion strength is 0.39N/㎟ or more and ② It is specified to fill 80% or more of the base area of the tile backside, but this is currently trendy. It is considered that large-sized tiles need to be verified from multiple angles, and as part of that, we intend to verify the adhesion stability according to the area to be attached to large-sized tiles.

The unit-water content of concrete is one of the important factors in determining the quality of concrete and is directly related to the durability of the construction structure, and the current method of measuring the unit-water content of concrete is applied by the Air Meta Act and the Electrostatic Capacity Act. However, there are complex and time-consuming problems with measurement methods. Therefore, high frequency moisture sensor was used for quick and high measurement, and unit-water content of mortar was evaluated through machine running and deep running based on measurement big data.

Although various laws and regulations have been put in place to prevent slips and falls, many accidents still occur. In this study, the root cause of slips and falls not decreasing were investigated. There are five types of slip resistance test methods in the Korean Industrial Standards (KS). Namely, KS F 2375:2016, KS F 2601:2020, KS F 2602:2016, KS L 1001:2020, and KS G 5821-1:2020 are listed. These test methods are cited in building certification standards (BF and G-SEED), construction specifications, and other documents that specify slip safety criteria. As a result of the investigation, a number of errors in KS regulations and legal text, errors in the manufacture and operation of slip testers, and errors in the use of measured values were found. These errors threaten the public life safety and disrupt industrial sites, and must be corrected immediately.

Domestic residential buidling grading is currently comprised of 5 fields; sound-proofing, structure, ambient condition, living environment and fire-proofing. However, factors the take up most of the civil complaints are related to leakage, and waterproofing is not listed as part of the grading system. In particular, the Ministry of Land and Transport claims that the most crucial problems are leakage related in residential structures. Therefore, this study proposes to provide such grading system for waterproofing by AHP methodology based on waterproofing application locations in residential structures.

The use of recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) as a substitute for natural aggregates in new concrete produces both economic and environmental advantages. Most of the RCA applications for pavements have been primarily applied to support layers for roads and airfields. This paper summarizes a work completed at the University of Illinois in partnership with the O'Hare Modernization Program to examine the effect of coarse and fine RCA on the concrete's fresh and hardened properties for airfield rigid pavement applications. Ten different RCA concrete mixtures were prepared with the incorporation of different percentages of RCA fines as well as replacement of cement with high volume percentages of supplementary cementitious materials such as Class C fly ash and ground granulated blast furnace slag to improve the workability and long-term properties of RCA concrete. All the mixes on this stage included 100% recycled coarse aggregates and the Two-Stage Mixing Approach was used as a mixing procedure. Based on the results obtained in the research, mixes with high percentages of recycled fine and coarse aggregates could be used for construction of airfield concrete pavements in conjunction with supplementary cementitious materials
