The purposes of this study were to examine the relationship between parental autonomy support, mother's emotional style, and self-acceptance with early childhood. Through this process, we want to provide data for preventing maladjustment problems related to emotional regulation in early childhood. This study conducted a survey with 241 mothers of early childhood aged 3, 4, & 5 years. The collected questionnaires were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 and PROCESS 3.2 for SPSS macro of Hayes. Data were analyzed by means, standard deviations, paird t-test were Pearson's correlation, PROCESS 3.2 for SPSS macro of Hayes and bootstrapping. Main results of this study are follows. First, the greater the degree of perception with the support of autonomy from parents, the higher the mother's self-acceptance. Second, mothers with higher self-acceptance showed less emotional dismissing and more emotional coaching of their child. Third, self-acceptance of mother was found to mediate parents autonomy support of origin and mother's emotional dismissing was confirmed. Therefore, by increasing the self-acceptance of mothers, it would be possible to control their emotional responses to the negative emotional expressions of their children. The decrease in emotional dismissing and the increase in emotional coaching would have a positive effect on the role of parents and prevent maladjustment problems related to emotional regulation in early childhood.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of early childhood teachers' perception of children's rights on the early childhood guidance strategy for problem behavior through the communication ability and empathetic ability of teachers. The subjects of the study were 300 early childhood teachers working kindergartens and daycare centers located in Seoul and Gyenggi area. For analyses, bootstrapping verification and process Macro program were performed using SPSS 22.0. The results showed that there were statistically significant correlations among awareness of children's rights, communication ability, empathetic ability and guidance strategy for problem behavior. Also, teachers' communication ability and empathetic ability showed partial dual mediating effects in the relationship between awareness of children's rights and guidance strategy for problem behavior. This study revealed that teachers' communication ability and empathetic ability not only had direct effects on guidance strategy for problem behavior but also had indirect effects as mediating factors between teachers' awareness of children's rights and guidance strategy for problem behavior. The findings of this study can be used as fundamental data for developing early childhood teacher education program of guidance strategy for problem behavior.

The aim of this study was to guide follow-up research from previous research on child eyewitness testimonies. We looked at research related to the form of a question in a forensic context and examined why it was difficult to conduct a memory study that was both sufficiently meaningful and induced appropriate emotional values that produced reliable results. We also looked at the challenges of laboratory and field studies and examined the negative effects of contaminative information or suggestibility on children's memory. In addition, we examined individual differences in children's memory ability and whether memory performance differs according to the characteristics of events and whether supplementary tools or actions such as drawing help to improve the accuracy of children's statements. Finally, we identified topics for follow-up research that were not addressed in previous studies, but are important for understanding of the underlying mechanisms on child eyewitness testimonies.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between childhood traumatic experiences and aggression among adolescents in out-of-home care, as well as to analyze the double mediation effects of social withdrawal and the quality of the relationship with adolescents and caregivers. For the research purposes, this study analyzes the data from the first through third waves of 'The Panel Study on Korean Children in Out-of-Home Care'. This study included 418 adolescents who participated in the first to third waves of the surveys. As major statistical methods, Structural Equation Modeling and bootstapping were utilized. The research results show that childhood traumatic experiences have both direct and indirect effects on aggression through social withdrawal. Relationship with caregivers and adolescents did not show significant medication effect. Furthermore, the study found that social withdrawal and the relationship with caregivers sequentially mediate the effect of childhood traumatic experiences. Based on the study results, this study discusses child welfare policy and practical implications for preventing and resolving problems of childhood traumatic experiences.

The aim of this study was to see how play therapy could heal clients through play therapists' experiences of a still-point. Seven play therapists took part in the study, all of whom have performed play therapy for five years or more, the average years of experience totaling 12.1 years. We collected data on still-point experiences through semi-structured in-depth interviews with individual participants and then transcribed the collected data before applying Giorgi's phenomenological method of analysis. Our analysis found 500 meaning units and, ultimately, 66 central meanings, based on which we identified 17 sub-themes and 4 major themes. The research findings describe the contextual structure and intrinsic meanings accordingly. We described the contextual structure by focusing on the central meanings of the major themes and the sub-themes. At a “still-point,” the therapist feels what the child feels and experiences the child at the still-point. At that moment, the ego-consciousness of the therapist becomes diminished, and the therapist goes through the experience of transcending time and space. It is a moment of a spiritual encounter between the child and the play therapist and the genesis of a new birth.
