1차나무 유래 catechin의 투여와 불안 조절 및 통증 억제 효과의 평가

The study was undertaken to investigate the influence and related mechanisms that have yet to be explicitly demonstrated of Camellia sinensis (Theaceae) derived-catechin on the antianxiety or antinociception. However, there are no reports on the antianxiety or antinociceptive properties of catechin, the primary ingredient of Camellia sinensis. We hypothesized that catechin plays a role in the modulation of nociception or anxiety evoked by elevated plus maze. Institute of Cancer Research male mice were used and the frequency of writhing, the duration of sleep, and entry frequency and duration into open arms were measured and recorded. The administration of catechin (30 and 100 mg/kg) decreased the frequency of writhing reflex suggesting the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. It also increased the duration and entry frequency into open arms in the maze. In conclusion, catechin has antinociceptive and antianxiety properties and is a potential therapeutic for anxiety and insomnia.

This study aimed to survey the effects of posture feedback on the posture and the pain control of patients with forward head posture. 22 patients with the neck pain caused forward head posture participated in this study. 11 patients in the control group were only checked their posture. 11 patients in the correct posture feedback group were checked their posture, and the therapist explained their results to them. For this study, the therapist checked the forward head angle, VAS and the cervical ROM of all patients for six times. In conclusion, forward head angles were more effectively decreased in the correct posture feedback group. Results of VAS were not different between two groups. In results of ROM, the left flexion, the right flexion and the left rotation were more effectively increased in the correct posture feedback group. These results show that the posture feedback is effective on the neck posture control and the increase of the neck ROM, but it is not effective on the pain control.

Bacterial membrane vesicles are implicated in a wide range of functions in the microbial community, from pathogenesis to gene transfer. It was initially thought to be a phenomenon related to Gram-negative bacteria, but recently, vesicle formation has been reported in Gram-positive bacteria, driven that many Lactobacillus species are generally considered safe and often used as probiotics, engineering of Lactobacillus membrane vesicles opens new avenues for therapeutics and vaccine development. Here, we provide an initial characterization of membrane vesicles (MVs) in Lactobacillus plantarum with special attention to physicochemical characterization with the goal of identifying properties or components that may prove useful for the engineering of MVs themselves. This study will serve as the basis for future efforts to understand the behavior of probiotic organisms, the role of bacterial MVs, and the potential of engineered therapeutics derived from bacteria.

This paper presents the off-grid PV-ESS system of analog sequential voltage control method applied to variable resistor. The conventional off-grid PV-ESS system with the low-voltage series connection has problems due to capacity expansion. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a noble PV-ESS system with high efficiency, low cost and high reliability by applying analog sequential voltage control technique of the high-voltage series connection of analog circuit type. The input voltage of DC to AC inverter can be converted from the low-voltage by the combinations of series connection of the conventional cascaded 24[V] solar cell unit modules to the high-voltage of 384[V] in battery. The output voltage of the battery was 384[V] as the each input voltage of three phase DC to AC inverter, and the each output voltage of three phase 10[kW] DC to AC inverter is designed to be AC380[V]@60[Hz] as the line to line rms voltage value. To prove the validity of the theoretical analysis by PSIM simulation, the operating characteristics of analog sequential voltage control system with variable resistor were confirmed through experiment results.

In this study, 3D CAD model and flexible multi-body dynamics analysis model of each part of the transmission has been developed to analyze the strength of the latch clutch, a major component of the 3-speed transmission proposed for the transmission of a micro electric vehicle. The latch clutch is designed by using a worm gear and a worm wheel in order to respond to the large torque acting on the transmission output shaft. And through dynamic simulation of each component, the three-speed shifting performance is validated according to the operation of the latch clutch. First, by analyzing the structure of the proposed three-speed transmission for micro electric vehicles, the operating principle of each stage and the driving conditions of components has been identified. After that, 3D CAD models of the major components of the transmission has been developed. A dynamic analysis model is developed based on this, and the transmission performance has been analyzed through simulations. Finally, the maximum stress and stress distribution acting on the weak part and the coupling part has been studied through the finite element analysis of the latch clutch.

Cyclic acetal is contained in natural molecules such as cellulose and is used in many organic synthesis. Among them, cyclic acetals with acyl group is mainly used for substitution reactions due to its easy conversion. In this work, we will synthesize cyclic acetal derivatives with acyl group from cyclic acetal precursors such as 3,4-dihydropyran or caprolactone.

This study is to analyze the thermal characteristics of thermal storage and non-thermal storage floor radiant heating systems through experiments. The experiment was conducted at the same time in the room to which each heating system was applied, and the thermal environment was compared. ① Both floor radiant heating systems showed a uniform temperature regardless of the location and height of the indoor space. ② It was confirmed that the non-thermal storage floor radiant heating system has an advantage for intermittent heating as it has a relatively fast thermal response. ③ The initial long-wave radiation of non-thermal storage floor radiant heating was high, but after that, thermal storage floor radiant heating showed consistently higher long-wave radiation than non-thermal storage floor radiant heating. ④ It was confirmed that non-thermal storage floor radiant heating can be heated with about 29% and 41% of energy than thermal storage type.

The vestibulocochlear nerve, as one of twelve pairs of cranial nerves, is made up of the vesibular nerve and cochlear nerve. The vestibular nerve and cochlear nerve have the different pathways to the cortex and play the different roles. The vestibular nerve is responsible for balance while the cochlear nerve responsible for hearing. The vestibulocochlear nerve is connected to the peripheral apparatus in the inner ear, runs through the interanl auditory canal, and reaches pontomedullary junction. This paper aims to examine the structural and functional features of the vestibulocochlear nerve. In comparision with the cochlear nerve, it has not been well understood how the vestibular apparatus is connected to the cortex.

A bacterial strain CU-02 snowed algicidal activity against Alexandrium catenella was isolated from coastal water of Pohang in Korea. The strain was identified as Brachybacterium sp. by culture morphology and biochemical tests. The bacterial culture led to the lysis of algal cells, suggesting that the isolated strain produced a potent algal-lytic compound. Amongst changes in algicidal activity by different culture filtrates, the 10% concentration showed the biggest change in algicidal activity. Estimated algicidal activity was 89%. The swimming movements of A. catenella cells were inhibited and cell walls detached from the main cellular bodies because of treatment of the bacterial culture. With longer exposure time, A. catenella cells were disrupted and algal chloroplasts and cytoplasm subsequently lost their integrity and decomposed, resulting in the appearance of abundant broken thecae. The released algicides were heat-tolerant and stable in pH variations except pH 3.0 and 4.0. When 25 ㎍/㎖ of the crude algicides was applied to A. catenella culture, 89% of A. catenella cells were disrupted within 7 hours. The crude algicides showed significant algicidal activities against other harmful algal bloom (HAB) species. Our results suggest that the algicidal activity of Brachybacterium sp. CU―02 is potentially useful for controlling outbreaks of A. catenella
