A hesitation in speaking is known as a kind of non-fluency or non-flexible process in a moral class. On the contrary, this study tries to interpret a hesitation in speaking as an emergence of otherness in language, as a possibility of self-reflection in speaking.
Through this reinterpretation we shall show that the hesitation would be a process in self-appearance of the language as such. This hesitation isn't an obstacle in a moral class but a foundation to encounter a new verbal world via others' words. Based on this approach, we can view the hesitation with respect to self-reflection and understanding others as a vivid power to develop a theme of moral class. Accordingly, this study presents otherness in speaking and expression in conversations with a new standard for a better teaching.

In his “Work and Play”, Oakeshott divides all human activities into two distinct categories of 'work' and 'play'. 'Work' in its wide sense stands for an activity of satisfying wants in the world, whereas 'play' in its wide sense an activity which, not directed to the satisfaction of wants, entails an attitude to the world which is not concerned to use it. To 'play' belongs two subcategories, which are 'understanding and explaining the world' and 'the activity of poetic imagination'. Interestingly, the poetic imagination is said to be more securely insulated from any liability of being confused with 'work'.
“The Voice of Poetry in the Conversation of Mankind” is usefully referred to for exploring the nature of poetic imagination and its contribution to the conversation. The participants of the conversation are diverse voices such as the voice of practical activity, the voice of science, and the voice of poetry. Each voice is at once a manner of speaking and a determinate utterance. Nonetheless, when the latter is loosened from the former, the voice appears as a body of conclusion, losing its conversability. The voice of poetry is preeminently conversable in that its utterance cannot be detached from its manner of speaking or imagining.
It is only with conversability of voices that they can appear in the genuine partnership in the conversation. For Oakeshott, education is an initiation into the skill and partnership of the conversation. And the voice of poetry plays a pivotal role in carrying on the conversation by inspiring other voices with their inherent conversability. The place that the voice of poetry takes in education for conversation can be considered in two aspects. Poetry is what should be taught in education. And it also refers to the poetic character of all human activity. Poetry can then be regarded as the method that should be complied with when the teacher and the learner engage with other voices.

This study aims to clarify the composition of the teachers' staff at Mission School in 1910. The case of the study is KeiSung School and the main analysis data are school journals, teacher minutes, and missionary reports, etc.
The results of this analysis are as follows : First, KeiSung school teachers in 1910s were composed of a variety of missionary principals, Japanese teachers, and Korean teachers. Second, there were three classes of Korean teachers. Third, In the Samil Independence Movement, most Korean teachers took the initiative with students. In summary, in the 1910s, the teaching staff of KeiSung School in the 1910s were very glocal. Teachers from the Western Empire and the Eastern Empire and colonial teachers were together, and at the same time, the regional characteristics of North Gyeongsang and Northwestern regions were strongly influential.

The purpose of this study was to explore the concept of competency-based liberal education and discuss the issues related to how competency-based liberal education can impact on the nature of liberal education. The results of the study are summarized as follows.
First, competency-based liberal education can lead to the neglect of theoretical or academic knowledge by making people think that they can replace liberal arts with arts of competence. Second, competency-based liberal education is inherently based on competencies that involve elements of performance(or behavior) and constantly decomposes competencies into aspects of (detailed) competencies or skills. Therefore, it could undermine the nature of liberal education by promoting behaviorism and reductionist approaches. Third, competence has been related to job performance, and it brings about job orientation by trying to derive competence based on recent industrial or social needs, so it subverts the nature of liberal education. Fourth, it commits category errors by indiscriminately involving moral aspects such as friendship and caring that are difficult to include in traditional liberal education.
After all, current competency-based liberal education could certainly have a negative impact on the nature or identity of liberal education.

Japanese education for the elderly is a good model to be reckoned with, facing the 'aging or aged society'. However, it is not easy to benefit from simply modeling it, without knowing the socio-historical context in which the ideas and practices of the system were moulded. This study seeks to investigate the historical milieu and main ideas of Japanese efforts for the elderly education around the 1970's. Especially, it focuses on the context of changing image of older people, the relatedness of 'la culture vivante' and 'collaborative learning' with their moto 'ikigai'(a Japanese word for raison d'être). For conclusion, it concedes that Japanese efforts for the elderly education are distinguished for their self-motivated impulse in start, and voluntary activities and services for society on the part of participant elderly learners.
