초록보기

The purpose of this paper is to reveal philosophical basis for education as hospitality by analyzing the meanings of Henri Nouwen and J. Derrida's understandings of hospitality. It is also to provide educational implications for reconstruction of educational systems as hospitality For education as hospitality, this paper examines Henri Nouwen's human attitude and J. Derrida's nconditioned hospitality works through the philosophical approach rather than from the commonly used pastoral theological approach or clinic psychological approach.
The concept of hospitality can offer a new dimension to our understanding of a healing relationship and the formation of a re-creative community in a word so visibly suffering from alienation and estrangement. Hospitality means primarily the creation of a free space where the stranger can enter and become a friend instead of an enemy. Hospitality is not to change people, but to offer them space where change can take place. The term hospitality, therefore, as a fundamental attitude and caring toward our fellow human being, should be used in classroom and for school innovation.

The so-called “Vygotsky's Collaboration Education(VCE)” has three problems. First, its idea of collaboration is not aligned with Vygotsky's. Second, the advocates offer incoherent accounts of the function and nature of the collaboration between the teacher and the student. Third, it reinforces everyday concepts, or complexes, of collaboration. According to Miller, Vygotsky's concept of collaboration refers to a psychological process which allows the student to generalize the teacher's aid, which in turn allows students to learn concepts. As such VCE based on Miller's interpretation requires a curriculum whereby students are taught scientific concepts of collaboration.

초록보기

This study aims to investigate the educational value of actual experience in J. Dewey's educational thoughts.
First, actual experience is an essential element of life and inevitable part of human life. Second, actual experience is the most important factor that triggers interest. It is an important factor in generating interest, a starting point for active interaction. Third, actual experience is an important driver of human thinking. Thinking is an inseparable relationship from action, and it occurs in actual experiences related to actions for Dewey's idea, Fourth, actual experience is a powerful driving force that leads the growth of children and students throughout their lives. Actual experience is a necessary condition rather than a sufficient condition for growth.

This study aims to find clues for solving educational problems while comparing and analyzing belief based on the system of thought of Zhuxi and Scheffler. As a result of the comparison of belief, the common point is, first, the connection between 'belief' and 'question'. Second, it is to separate 'belief' and 'practice' at the theoretical level, and to see 'practice' as you know in the state of having 'belief' at the actual level. The difference is, firstly, that Zhuxi discusses 'nature' as a conceptual system and Scheffler discusses 'rationality'. Second, Zhuxi puts emphasis on realizing as soon as he has the belief that he has nature in his mind as 'cultivating' due to his 'monistic system of thought', and Scheffler emphasizes the formation of true beliefs through 'critical dialogue' due to the 'dualistic system of thought'. Based on this, first, the clue to solving educational problems that form false beliefs can be found in doubting the possibility of errors through Scheffler's critical dialogue. Second, the clue to solving educational problems in which knowledge and action are separated can be found in doing what one truly knows in a state of belief based on Zhuxi. Third, the clue to solving the problem of giving up without forming a belief can be found in cultivating an attitude of not giving up based on Zhuxi.
