The purpose of this study was to examine how academic Korean learners use communicative strategies differently according to the context of situation. To this end, this study made three different situations that academic Korean learners might experience as usual, and each of the discourse participants was a friend, colleague, and professor. Five Korean language learners who studied at graduate schools in Korea participated in this experiments. As a result, before speaking, the more complex the context of situation, they tried to prepare harder. In the speaking stage, the more complex the discourse participant and discourse type factors, the fewer strategies to correct were used, but rather, the more errors were corrected frequently. Therefore, in academic Korean language education, it is necessary (a) to educate not to give too much attention to language forms in the complex context of situation, (b) to educate to use interactive strategies actively, and (c) to educate the usage of honorifics. The purpose of this study is to examine the currently developed Korean pronunciation evaluation technology for the pronunciation evaluation of Korean learners and to find ways to use it in Korean language education. To this end, the evaluation score of the pronunciation evaluation API and the evaluation score of 10 Korean education experts were compared to find out how accurate the Korean pronunciation evaluation technology is. The main work of the study consisted of four stages. First, the voice data of Korean learners was collected, and then the pronunciation evaluation API was implemented and tested. In addition, a Korean education experts were recruited to request pronunciation evaluation, and finally, the performance of the pronunciation evaluation API was evaluated through result analysis. As a result of the evaluation, the evaluation of the pronunciation evaluation API with the Korean education experts showed a high correlation in Korean speech with prompted text, while there was no correlation in Korean speech without prompted text. If the pronunciation evaluation technology is further supplemented and the Korean pronunciation evaluation system is developed, it is expected that it can be used in various ways in teaching pronunciation and pronunciation evaluation in the Korean education field. The purpose of this study is to understand how the diaspora identity of the independent generation of Koryoin in Kyrgyzstan is perceived and developed. The Koryoin society in Kyrgyzstan is an influx society formed by voluntary remigration after Stalin's death, and the Koryo people of the independent generation are descendants of Koryo people born and raised in Kyrgyzstan, an independent country formed after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. By applying consensual qualitative research methods to analyze the diaspora identity of the independent generation of Koryoin in Kyrgyzstan, we were able to derive 3 large areas, 8 central areas, and 25 categories. Through this study, it was confirmed that the diaspora identity of the independent generation of Koryo people in Kyrgyzstan was actively reproduced, had a mixed identity, and is still going on as a variable identity. Although the results of this study are limited to independent generation Koryoin in Kyrgyzstan, generalizations are limited, but they can serve as basic data for future Korean policies and subsequent studies of Koreans. The purpose of this study is to introduce the principles and the practice of developing Korean reading textbook series for high beginners and intermediate-level learners in Thailand. The textbook series consists of five content areas (Korean nature, Korean life, Korean history, Korean economy and society, and Korean culture). This study takes the domain topic of Korean nature as an example for proposing development principles and procedures, and chapter composition. As this textbook is aimed at learners who choose Korean as a second language in Thai secondary schools, the foreign language curriculum of the Thai Ministry of Education and the Korean language curriculum for primary and secondary schools overseas of the Korean Ministry of Education were reviewed to prepare teaching guidelines. The textbook development principles put emphasis on developing learner-centered localized textbooks, improving learners' Korean reading skills and expanding language skills, cultivating cognitive skills and growing into global citizens, and securing learners' access to textbooks and ease of learning. This textbook, developed to facilitate learners' access to data, is published as an interactive e-book available on various devices to support autonomous learning. This study combines quantitative statistics with qualitative analysis to describe the translation strategies, methods, and techniques of the expressions with Chinese characteristics, analyze the types of conceptual integration of translators using conceptual blending theory, and explore the principles of translators' choice of translation strategies, methods and techniques. As a result of extracting and analyzing 325 expressions with Chinese characteristics from the Korean version of < Xi Jinping: The Governance of China >(Volume 1), the most commonly used conceptual integration type in the translation of the expressions with Chinese characteristics to Korean is projection of the input space 1 elements, and the next commonly used conceptual integration type is projection of the input space 2 elements. These results are in contrast to the research results of English translation studies, showing the effect of language and cultural background on translators' translation activities. In addition, this study confirmed that different translation strategies and methods are selected due to weight imbalance when two input spaces are projected into the blend space, selection of translation strategies occurs in the projection of conceptual integration, selection of translation methods occurs in the blend space during the process of composition and completion, and selection of translation techniques occurs during the process of elaboration. This paper analyzes the Chinese corresponding expressions of the connective ending '-(eu)lyeogo' and the idiomatic expression '-(eu)lyeogo hada/deulda' using the Korean-Chinese TV drama parallel corpus. The connective ending '-(eu)lyeogo' appears 704 times in the parallel corpus. '-(eu)lyeogo' with the meaning of [purpose] and [intention/will] corresponds to the Chinese purpose expression with the highest frequency, and corresponds to the Chinese modal verbs with a higher frequency in the parallel corpus. In addition, '-(eu)lyeogo' sentences are also translated into Chinese 'no marking' purpose sentences―serial-verb constructions or parataxis sentences, or '-(eu)lyeogo' are omitted in the translation, when there is no corresponding Chinese expression for '-(eu)lyeogo'. On the other hand, the idiomatic expression '-(eu)lyeogo hada/deulda' appears 953 times in the parallel corpus. '-(eu)lyeogo hada/deulda' only has the meaning of [intention/will], so it only forms a corresponding relationship with various Chinese modal verbs in the parallel corpus. (Yonsei University)

This study aims to introduce AI text generation using HyperCLOVA, a Korean-based super-large language model, and to examine whether AI text generation is applicable to the educational field. In detail, an example of text generation using HyperCLOVA was presented. Then survey data were collected from university students of education to examine the face validity of AI-generated texts compared with human texts. We also investigated opinions on the feasibility of AI text generation in teaching and learning environments. The survey results show that there was no statistically significant difference in AI-generated texts compared to the original text. Also the response rate was not high in the item that additional corrections were needed to use the AI-generated texts in educational practice, whereas the response rate was high for the opinion that the AI text generation would help reduce the burden on Korean language teachers.
