This study is about the portrait work 'Life Photography', which was conducted with an emphasis on socially expanding personal stories. With the purpose of telling the story of landmine victims living with disabilities due to an unexpected accident, the photo education program was conducted to show that 'Even now, mine victims continue to occur in Korea'. Portrait was chosen as a means of expression that allows subjects to directly show themselves as subjects serving as visual evidence as well as the photographer's perspective to inform social issues. As a photographer who conducts 'Life Photography', I tried to choose a method of helping them to bring out their life story and creating their own image together, rather than simply recording from the viewpoint of an observer who conveys facts and information. What I tried in this work was not only considering the recordability, sociality, and artistry, but also allowing the subject to have the experience of participating in the method of self-portrait construction. It stands out as a subjective object that can actively record one's appearance, and allows it to play a role in directly delivering a social message.

This study dealt in part with the use of grotesque aesthetics and the concept of development strategies among grotesque's interdisciplinary research work. The purpose of studying grotesque in relation to cultural content was to visually expand the theoretical part of grotesque and examine how it is applied to reality. The theorist who examined intensively analyzed the points where grotesque, which appeared in Kaiser and Bachjin's grotesque books, can be created as cultural content. In other words, through the 'exploration of books' of the two theorists, we looked at what they consistently aim for in cultural content that visualizes various non-language type languages. In this study, the 'attractive elements' related to cultural content are summarized as normal/abnormal indistinguishable, grotesque society, and supernormal stimulation. The psychological reason for favoring this tendency in modern society is not clear, but this tendency has left traces of various cultures from prehistoric times to the present. The worldview of the culture that created such a phenomenon has also constantly changed and achieved grotesque development. The achievement of this study is that attempts to designate this phenomenon as a grotesque could still be found in cultural content.

This study aims to examine the artistic potential and potential of images created by an artificial intelligence algorithm through 'miscalculation'. GAN is a generative model that is optimized to create fake images similar to the real thing, and StyleGAN is widely used in platforms that provide images of fake people. In this study, images generated due to algorithm errors were collected and then classified into 12 types. The visual effect shown by these images is astonishing and outstanding as it cannot be found in the history of art or photography. In fact, as algorithms intervene in the production of works of art, the issue of creativity in artificial intelligence is a matter of utmost concern. Here, the prevailing view is that algorithms cannot produce creative images due to program's limitations. Conversely, this study asserts the creative potential of artificial intelligence algorithms based on the innovative results shown by images of miscalculation. At this time, artificial intelligence can expand human vision by providing a new visual experience that has not been experienced in the past.

The series < -site > is photography about changing spaces in a city and composed of < Construction site >, < Demolition site > and < Reconstruction site >. < -site > is created after going into spaces where one cannot easily find an access such as a construction site, redevelopment site and an apartment reconstruction site and adding the researcher's artistic activity called 'intervention', proves the existences of the original building at those site and visualizes them. This thesis includes how the result of photography art based on personal experiences and environments is developed and realized by focusing on the works of < -site >, and studies on what the researcher discovered from his practice, the processes of creation and extinction in a city, while aiming to recall the original meaning and function of a city by suggesting problems visually. In the series, 'a site' and 'intervention' are important keywords to understand works. The researcher exchanges with a subject at each site through an artistic activity, called intervention, and records unexpected situations in order to make a possibility of interpreting photography in diverse aspects rather than limit it just as a fact or the historical reference.

Research on limitations and possibilities for becoming a silver generation image artist is a task required in an aging society along with a change in image status. First, the concept of existence ethic is clarified through the analysis of various interdisciplinary literature. Next, conduct a survey to understand the current situation of the silver generation, and through the analysis of the survey data, the existence ethic of the silver generation image artists is defined as the social attitude of the silver generation in living their own lives. As the type of the silver generation, the beginner type, the intermediate type as the stage of conscious creation, the humanities type as the stage of intellect and consciousness, and the expressive type as the stage of creation by free will are presented. The ethic of existence of a image artist is Dasein expressed through the language of images. Dasein is an event of sharing and sharing, and it is revealed in the photograph as an attitude of thinking against limiting situations in the imperfect human life. However, not all photographers can use the artistic language of Dasein in their photographic works. In this regard, the existence ethic for the limitations and possibilities of amateur silver generation image artists will be revealed. Based on this, we will try to find a way to establish the existence ethic of silver generation image artists suitable for each stage type.

“Expression method of expanded visuality” is a strategy appeared in the process to show the expression type of temporal art based on postmodernism including conceptual art and post-structuralism in order to express the state of the period changed since 1980s and is an important concept to determine the expression type and meaning of temporal art. Postmodernism strategy in which multiple structures, panorama frames, and multiple looks are combined is a factor for attention in contemporary art. Such expression type provides not only expanded visuality but also various levels of meanings and plays a decisive role in development of temporal art to another level.

In this study, communication in family relationships and the influence of family are still important even in college students who are developing important psychological independence centering on college students who participated in photo-image therapy program, and psychological changes of college students through participation in photo-image therapy program wanted to pay attention to. For this study, focusing on the projective approach using Judy Weiser's phototherapy technique (Weiser, 1993), Studium and Punctum through three divisions (operator, observer, and subject) suggested by Roland Barthes was used (Barthes, 1980), and the experience of the study participants regarding photo-imaging therapy was analyzed. The specific research questions of this study are as follows. First, what does the image in the picture mean in the technique of looking at and speaking pictures? Second, what is the interest and meaning of the photo-image therapy program? Third, what are the psychological changes in family relationships experienced by college students through the photo-image therapy program?
This study, because the photo-image therapy program was done through photography, makes it easier for participants to relax and open up their emotions than other treatments, and allows them to objectively look into themselves through photography. Above all, it is significant in that it confirmed that the program participants had the advantage of being able to continue their counseling work while reducing their resistance to counseling. If various counseling programs using photo therapy are operated according to the developmental stage of the students in the educational field, the effect is expected to be greater.

Human memories, which gradually fade over time, are stored in the abyss of the unconscious and rise to the surface of consciousness through specific stimuli, allowing them to have some form of emotion or sentiment again. Park Seung-hwan came up with the photo series < The Father's Touch > out of a very personal motive and longing for his father, who passed away a long time ago. He wanted to feel the presence of his father, which was closer to him than anyone else but was gradually forgotten as the years passed. To put his feelings in the objects through photographic images, Park started looking for things that his father frequently used in his daily life while he was alive; unfortunately, a notepad was the only thing remained. After thinking hard about any possible method, he searched for similar items and bought them at the second-hand market to make some experimental images. From this preliminary work process, Park discovered the possibility of utilizing such similar objects for reminding of his father, regardless of whether his father once used them or not. He gained confidence while studying the art theory and philosophy related to his approach and expected some sympathy from the viewers by directing them to their fathers in their unconscious.
