Negative word of mouth from consumers through social media causes losses to firms and their supply chains. They need to identify the characteristics of negative word of mouth in social media and respond effectively, but it is difficult. Studies on negative word of mouth in social media are very important, but these studies are relatively not sufficient. In particular, researches in the manufacturing field has been somewhat insufficient due to the lack of direct contact with customers. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the structural characteristics of negative word of mouth networks in social media, focusing on the manufacturing field, and to research the structural characteristics of networks that affect the spread of negative word of mouth. To this end, a negative word of mouth network was constructed and analyzed by collecting negative word of mouth data on Twitter regarding car recalls of four automotive manufacturers. As a result, it was identified that the negative word of mouth network of social media is basically a structure based on 'activity', does not share an intermediary, and has a high ripple power. Based on these analysis results, theoretical and practical implications are presented.

Most agricultural products in South Korea are cultivated in the open field and delivered to customers through the distribution channels. It is important to ensure that crops are not susceptible to pests and diseases during delivery. In this paper, we propose to detect diseases of crops in earlier time by using YOLOv4, which is a real-time object detection algorithm, to ensure the freshness of crops. We compared the proposed detector with the YOLOv3-based detector in terms of the accurate performance. The experimental results addressed that the proposed method clearly detects the types and stages of chili pepper diseases. We expect that the proposed approach can be used for a fast and accurate freshness monitoring system.

This study proposes the priority of evaluation criteria and selection factors of third-party logistics companies from the perspective of manufacturing and shipper companies constituting the supply chain using AHP. In addition, through IPA analysis, the relative importance and satisfaction of evaluation criteria and selection factors are identified. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, detailed selection criteria for selection of logistics companies were divided into five categories: logistics service, logistics information (IT) system, logistics price (cost), corporate reputation, competency and infrastructure. A total of 20 items were constituted as detailed selection factors constituting these selection criteria.
A survey was conducted targeting Korean manufacturing companies, and a total of 86 questionnaires were used for the study. As a result of checking the overall weights and priorities according to the selection criteria for third-party logistics companies and the importance of the selection factors, in the AHP existing model, safety (0.118), image (0.086), accuracy (0.083), service price (0.082), cost reduction (0.068) was found to have a high priority. And in the modified weight model, stability (0.1142), financial stability (0.0861), accuracy (0.0804), service price (0.0791), and cost reduction (0.0664) were found to have high priorities. Therefore, stability and accuracy, service price, and cost reduction were ranked high. As a result of the IPA analysis, safety (7.337), accuracy (7.023), responsiveness (6.291), facilities and equipment (6.058), and financial stability (5.872) were ranked high in importance, and incentives (4.686) and cost reduction (4.674) in satisfaction professionalism (4.628), work experience and history (4.605), and service price (4.593) show high rankings.

As ESG management becomes important worldwide, ESG management is being put forward as a future strategy for ports in major ports around the world. However, existing studies have limitations in considering only financial performance indicators when deriving ESG factors. Accordingly, the value of ESG factors, which are difficult to quantify, was derived through the Fuzzy-SWOT analysis method, and specific ESG factor priorities were presented. As a result of the study, the composition and operation of the port committee and the priority of the factors for shared growth in the local community were the highest. Through the results of this study, it is intended to help establish a sustainable ESG management strategy development plan for domestic ports in the future.

As an essential part of the supply chain, ports not only play a critical function in the national economic construction but also play a decisive role in disasters such as infectious diseases and natural disasters that negatively affect the lives of most sectors. In order to better evaluate the competitiveness of Chinese ports, this study constructs a competitiveness evaluation system for China's top 5 ports. Based on the port competitiveness evaluation indexes, port competitiveness is divided into four aspects: infrastructure condition, port operation, economic environment, and port development potential. The entropy weight and TOPSIS method are utilized to evaluate the port's competitiveness. The results show that the competitiveness of Shanghai port is much higher than that of other ports. It is suggested that each port should improve its own construction level and seek win-win results through dislocation development and collaborative cooperation.

In recent days, parcel delivery volume has increased by about 28% in 21 years compared to 2019 years before the outbreak of COVID-19 due to the expansion of the non-face-face consumption market and the continuous expansions of the e-commerce transaction market. In addition, as the market that requires overnight delivery increases, the situation that requires fast and large quantities of delivery. However, the areas where courier logistics trucks are not allowed to enter are gradually expanding, due to the height problem of the courier trucks. The problem of the work load of delivery drivers has been raised due to the accessibility problem in areas where the infrastructure is weak, and it is expanding to a social problem. Therefore, this study proposes two low-floor courier vehicle using EV(Electronic Vehicle) to reduce the workload of the labors according to the battery location. The proposed vehicle is designed with a low-floor types while increasing storage space compared to conventional trucks. As a result, it is expected that loading and unloading labor load will be decreased by solving the accessibility problem. In addition, to evaluate the usability of the proposed vehicles, a survey was conducted with 255 courier labors to derive expected effects and improvements. Through this study, it is expected that the productivity of the courier are able to increased and the workload of courier labor can be reduced.

As a part of the transition to the logistics 4.0 era, automation and unmanned technology have become the biggest issues in the logistics industry based on the development of various technologies such as AI and robotics. Due to the high workload of logistics activities, automation of loading operation is regarded as the one of the most important topics in logistics field. The automation of the loading operation is expected to provide a higher work efficiency as well as a relaxation of the labor intensity during the loading process. In addition, optimization of the loading space will leads to the reduction of environmental pollution and carbon emission by minimizing idle spaces. This study aims to support the automation of the loading process in various logistics environments by developing efficient 3-Dimensional (3D) loading algorithms applicable to the actual logistics environment of B2B and B2C cases. Realistic considerations such as unloading order preferences, height limitation, and product rotation are addressed to achieve such applicablities. The performance of the proposed algorithms was tested via realistic numerical examples.

The military is taking various efforts to reduce the CWT(Customer Waiting Time). In order to promote the effective supply and guarantee the operational availability of equipment, studies are undertaken to reduce CWT and its variances. The greatest factor on CWT is whether military has an inventory or not. This study focuses on changing effects for selecting ASL(Authorized Stockage Item) related to whether the military has an inventory. Currently, the ASL selection method does not consider cost, demand, and item characteristics, and lacks objectivity due to individual works of the item manager. To overcome these, we propose a new selection method that combines the COSDIF(Cost Differential) model of U.S. military with a Linear Programming model. This study consists of four steps. The first step selects candidate items to be reviewed for COSDIF cost analysis. The second step is to conduct a cost analysis. The third stage is to select an optimal ASL on a Linear Programming model under various constraints such as budget, weight, and volume. In the final step, we compare the existing ASL with the newly selected ASL to verify the effect of CWT using simulations. In addition, we consider top-down and bottom-up method to apply on each scenario. As a result of applying the newly selected ASL, the average and variance of CWT decreased by 14.5∼19.7% compared to the existing method. In addition, the cost can be reduced by 7% to 12%.
