초록보기

This study aims to understand the dance work in which humans and machines coexist within the historical context of creating automata, moving dolls. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to explore the two-sided meaning of such dance works by paying attention to how dolls and robots, digital sensors, and artificial intelligence coexist with humans as self-moving machines. In this study, I analyzed concrete works by dividing them into three types of coexistence: dolls, robots, and bodies directly combined with machines.
As a result of this study, first, interest in moving dolls was shown to express 'mixed identity' through the dancer's body that reproduces the movements of imaginary dolls in dance. Second, the appearance of actual robots was realized in the direction of pursuing mutual emotional communication by resembling human 'inside' rather than creating human- like outside in dance. Third, the body directly connected to the machine changes not only the appearance but also the innate ability of the body to have 'ambivalent emotions' of fear and curiosity.
In all three modes of coexistence examined in this study, post-humanism and human communication methods interact with each other with different faces. In the end, it was found that in the dance work in which humans and machines coexist, both sides were presented in harmony with the post-humanistic elements that give interesting, fun, and unfamiliar shock in numerous ways, and the human elements where our daily imagination and emotions meet.

The purpose of this study was to test the mediation effects of grit in the relationship between middle school students'perceptions of teaching competency and task performance in dance classes. A total of 338 middle school students (187 males, 151 females) completed an questionnaire measuring teachers'teaching competency about curriculum and affective competency, grit, and task performance. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, correlations, and structural equation modeling to test the study hypotheses. Results of a series of structural equation modeling analysis showed middle school students'effort persistence positively mediated the relationship between perceived teaching competency and task performance. But middle school students'interest perseverance did not mediated the relationship between perceived teaching competency and task performance. Perceived teaching competency had an indirect impact to task performance through interest perseverance. These findings suggest that teachers' teaching competency and effort persistence for learning activities are factors enhancing students'task performance during dance classes. Future research is needed to explore a moderated effects of academic emotions and basic psychological needs in order to fully understand students'task performance and class engagement.

This article analyzed Whose Salon's A funeral day of Haenghwatang and Seo Hyun-Suk's X(Indifferent Spectacle), two immersive works using VR and AR technologies respectively. In doing so, it explored how audiences have an immersive experience in-between the actual and virtual image, the real and fictional world and elaborated their aesthetic implication. As a result, the author insisted that these two performances reject the Platonian opposition between the real and the virtual and take the Flusserian perspective on digital virtuality, taking intermedial relationships between performers and audiences, original and designed spaces, the past and the present, and physical events and virtual images.

초록보기

The purpose of this study is to examine the changes in orientalism of the Ballet Russes, focusing on the stage works of Léon Bakst and Henri Matisse. In particular, Bakst's Scherazade and Matisse's The Song of the Nightingale are examined, which reveal that the characteristics of color sense, abstraction, flatnesss and decoration in plastic aspects as well as the approach to total arts with consideration of the elements of entire work including movement and choreographic structure are common, however there is a change from Bakst's glamorous and erotic style to Matisse's minimalist and understated style. Orientalism refers to the East constructed through the perspective of the West, and the both works have a positive aspect of mystifying the East and treating the East as an object of longing, with the former's negative aspects including description of violence and barbarism toward the East and sexual objectification of eastern women. On the other hand, the latter work is evaluated as showing an effort to deviate from such stereotype of Orientalism and to approach the essence.

This study aims to find out the basic principles for education and treatment applying the 'BA' Principles of somatic movements to the high, normal, and low breathings shown in BJJS. As a result, firstly, 'to breathe well' is upper breathing(exhalation) found in the “gideng(기덩)” upper/flat/lower breathing shown in the 3st small beat of the 1st beat of Hangeul Janggo's vocal sound, which is shown in all the courses of BJJS. This awakens Myeongmunhyeol and relaxes and lifts up diaphragm to control the thorax to be narrower. And, using drumstick, the awakening of the high breathing with a clenched fist arouses Sobuhyeol(少府穴) and Nogung(勞宮) to enhance the Hwagang (火降) of the heart and its outer membrane when upper/flat/lower breathing(inhalation) is going down. Secondly, 'to align the body(Align)' is the awakening of the flat breathing found in upper/flat/lower breathing that is found to be the heavenly mind of the seat of the heart(mind), the central danjeon among the three danjeon's of Jeong-Shin-Gi. Therefore, BJJS can seek for emotional stability with a sound body through good Breathing of high/normal/low breathings, Aligning of body with heavenly mind, to move the body in an arranged manner. The implication of this study is to provide a steppingstone for avatar breathing of the dancing of BJJS, based on body breathing.

This paper analyzes the works of Xie Xin in the respect of deconstructionism, trying to understand the relationship butween philosophy and dances, thus observing the new sphere for dance creation provided by deconstructionism. As Xie Xin is the famous youth director of contemporary China, the content and trend of modern dance creation in contemporary China can be understood through reading her works. The central idea of her works 'From in'is to split Chinese characters, the perspective of which is to directly and deeply analyse and reconstruct the concept of 'person ' '人'. Deconstructionism makes use of deconstructing stratagy to develop the methods of multiple thinking, the main method of which is to destroy and reconstruct from the ideological levels. Therefore, dances can be influenced in the creation method and idea so that dances have the interdisciplinary characteristics and form the plural artistic expressions. This paper analyses the works 'From in'through the three respects: différance, intertextuality, anti-logocentrism of deconstructionism, and explores the influences of social ideological trend on dance creation.

This study analyzed the current status and contents of documentaries based on Korean dance. Therefore, documentaries on traditional Korean dance produced by four TV broadcasters from 2000 to 2021 were collected and catalogued by type. In addition, four documentaries with high research value were selected and analyzed by component.
As a result of the study, first, dance experts also emphasized that it is not easy to pass the dance and that it is possible only with the sacrifice and patience of the dancer. Second, it was conveyed that the dancer was faithfully striving for dreams and passion through dance. Third, the limitation was that all the scenes filmed by the camera adhered to a fixed plot to successfully lead the performance. Fourth, professional knowledge was not applied to the process of filming and editing documentaries. In order to contain the excellence and truth of dance, it is considered that film language considering the characteristics and environment of dance movements should be used, and expert intervention is necessary.

This study was approached by applying the theory of behavioral economics as a way to seek vitalization of the performance market after the post-corona virus The difficult situation in the performance market due to Corona is spreading around the world and various measures are being proposed and implemented to overcome this situation. Existing field-oriented performances maintain the spirit of performance through the non-face-to-face format but there are difficulties in explaining the situation of the previous performance market. Many performance groups and institutions have already started to apply content that screens performances based on media but it is not going smoothly due to the spread of Corona. Therefore as an effort to expand the performance market after the pandemic we would like to suggest a method for attracting audiences from behavioral economics. The behavioral economic theories applied in this study are the prospect theory the Framing effect the representativeness bias the consensus-implies heuristic and the regulatory effect. From the concepts of these theories strategic implications for application to a new performance paradigm are presented. In this study the research was conducted in the form of deriving strategic implications of the field-oriented approach and non-face-to-face method which are the existing paradigms of performance. The results of this study provide a practical and academic basis for the revitalization of the performance market after the post-corona virus.
