The purpose of this study is to elicit essential factors that need to be considered in planning and operating online conventions and analyzing relevance and priority. To do this, consideration factors were analyzed by preliminary research, opinions from experts in MICE industry and AHP questionnaires. The consideration factors were the six categories above (i.e., participant's personal experience, program planning, event operation, technicality, online convention service, and hardware) in addition to the 25 sub-categories below are formulated. The responders included 41. As a result of analyzing the relative importance of the six categories, the program planning was considered the most important and followed the participant's personal experience, event operation, technicality, online convention service, and hardware, in order. Such a result suggests that planning a online-oriented program is the most important criteria. In addition, the five most important sub-categories were a creative content specialized for online, solutions to technical problems, utilizing stable connection for the video conference, utilizing application to encourage participation, and minimizing churn rates are the top 5 out of 25 sub-categories.

This study empirically examined the effects of the experiencing of Korean Wave content on the Korean image, purchasing intentions for Korean products and medical services, and visiting intention in two emerging markets for Korea: Brazil and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 900 sample data was collected from October 4 to 20, 2019. A few practical implications were generated. First, in Brazil and UAE, Korea's cultural image has a large impact on purchasing intentions for Korean products and intention to visit Korea. So Korea should leverage Korean wave content to strengthen Korea's cultural image. Second, Korean entertainment, dramas, movies, and publications have a positive effect on purchasing and tourism intentions, such that they can be used in Korea's marketing.

Wellness tourism is one of the rapidly growing sectors of the current thriving tourism industry in the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to investigate visitors' wellness tourism motivation and its relationship with their perceived value and satisfaction; and to propose a management plan for Jeju Oreum. To accomplish these purposes, a questionnaire survey was distributed to 296 visitors of the three Jeju Orums. The hypothesis test was carried out using the PLS-SEM method which obtains determinate values of the latent variables for predictive purposes. Specifically, wellness tourism motivation was evaluated via four components: relaxation, enjoying nature, social fellowship, and novelty. Wellness tourists' perceived value was assessed from two perspectives: functional and emotional value. The study confirmed the impact of wellness tourism motivation on perceived value, which consequently leads to satisfaction. The present research proposes a management plan to revive Jeju Oreum as a wellness tourism destination after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The purpose of this study was to develop the primary stage of Gangneung DMO organizational operation system to revitalize tourism in Gangneung by deriving problems and improvement plans. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods were adapted in analyzing data from tourism experts and Gangneung DMO members. Based on the present study results, eight strategies were suggested to strengthen Gangneung DMO capabilities in tourism hub cities: 1) build professional manpower and slim down the composition of organization; 2) develop strategic marketing activities; 3) develop resident-led regional competency reinforcement projects; 4) continue education activities on the functions of DMO; 5) convergence of various perspectives on local tourism issues; 6) establishment of data that can connect tourist companies and visitors; 7) continuous network and information disclosure by related organizations; and 8) success of DMO through establishment of online cooperation network among DMO operators nationwide Model building.

A local specialized trade fair is a business platform based on local specialized industry and plays a crucial role in promoting the regional economy. This study aims to determine the assessment factors holding the sustainable local specialized trade fair, based on the concept of sustainable development. Quantitative content analysis was conducted on sustainable event standards widely utilized in the MICE industry. AHP was employed to stratify factors into three different levels and pairwise comparison was conducted in order to prioritize the factors. The survey was conducted on local specialized trade fair organizers. The findings indicate that the organizers prioritize the economic factors, such as the backward effect. On the other hand, the environmental factors were considered very low in priority. In practice, the present study findings provide important implications and directions regarding holding the sustainable local specialized trade fair.

This research intends to examine the effects of the festival service quality on visitors'positive emotion and revisit intention. For the research purpose, a survey was conducted among visitors of Jeju Fire Festival in 2019 from March 7 to 10, 2019. A total of 332 visitors responded to the survey and 280 samples were utilized for the present study data analysis. The findings showed that tangibility, reliability, assurance, and emphasis had positive roles in predicting positive emotion. However, only two factors (i.e., reliability and emphasis) had positive effects on revisit intention. In addition, positive emotion influenced the revisit intention. This study implied that the experience of service quality and the positive emotion induced from the service quality play an important role in recognizing the meaning of festival and the intention to revisit.

As part of the Post China strategy, this study was conducted to diversify the Korean inbound tourism market focused on specific countries. It targets Muslim tourists, which account for 25% of the world's population and are expected to visit 150 million people after 2020. Based on the cultural dimension index of the top three Muslim countries visiting Korea, the cultural distance from Korea was calculated, and the difference between consumption value and experience value by cultural distance was confirmed. The effect of consumption value and experience value perceived by tourists on long-term orientation was analyzed, and which factors in the experiential economy theory were controlling. Based on the analysis results, a marketing strategy was suggested with implications.

The purpose of this study is to explore the key dimensions of perceived value driving satisfaction of educational travel and the influence of travel experience on adolescents' perception of value and satisfaction. It also examines how involvement moderates the relationship between perceived value and travel experience. A research model was empirically tested with 310 adolescents who participated in educational travels. The results show that travel experiences have positive effects on all dimensions of perceived value and satisfaction. Perceived sacrifices, knowledge, and emotional value also positively affect satisfaction. Moreover, the relationship between experience and two components of perceived value (i.e., knowledge and social) is stronger when the level of involvement is higher. These results provide valuable implications for theory and businesses competing in educational tourism.

This study developed a career search behavior model with career service quality applying the ETPB for students majoring in Tourism to verify the structural relationship among attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavior control, career search intention, and career service quality. A total of 460 questionnaires responded by the university students majoring in Tourism in Busan were collected for 30 days from November, 2019. 421 responses were used for the final data analysis. Results showed that all structured relationship among the hypothesized variables were statistically significant. Especially the extended TPB model with career service quality showed higher explanatory power than the TPB model. Career service quality has proved to be an important construct in explaining career search behavior.

To purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between club activities, emotional intelligence, social participation, entrepreneurship. A questionnaire survey was conducted on local residents (134-part Uisin Village with various community and club activities and 119-part nearby villages with low club activities).The IBM SPSS statistics 21.0 and the IBM SPSS AMOS 21.0 statistics packages were utilized for data analysis to verify the factors, analyze feasibility and reliability, and test research hypotheses. In addition, a multi-group analysis was conducted to analyze the effectiveness of regulation according to the existence of community activities. Results showed that all variables are significantly affected by the improvement of emotional intelligence through club activities.
