In Japan, the goal of student guidance is to ensure that children are able to cope with the conditions of serious change and have the power to live a healthy life. In Japan, local governments and the government are also working together to promote reading to foster children's lives. As a result of this modest effort, the percentage of students participating in reading activities has steadily increased since 2000. Japan's reading support and promotional activities are as follows. First, local governments, schools, and families are pursuing complementary relationships. Second, government agencies and local governments play a role in designing and supporting infrastructure to activate reading. Third, schools are faithfully preparing programs to provide children with rich reading experiences. Fourth, there is no time limit for home reading. It has the advantage of being able to talk with your parents while reading books at home. Even in Korea, it is necessary for the government to actively encourage children to develop their strengths through reading. It should provide more opportunities for reading, especially in childhood. This will help students grow up to be positive, logical and problem-solving socialites.
