The study focused on the semantic differences between ‘좋다’ in the korean and ‘好’ in Chinese Languages. First we contrast the same meanings and different meanings of two words in the modern dictionaries. Then we searched the same points and differences of ‘좋다’ and ‘好’ under the basic theories of the cognitive linguistics. In the end, we searched and analyzed the mode of meaning expanding and found out the same mode expanding and the different mode expanding. The thesis will provide a new study methods of polysemy words and it will also facilitate the Korean and Chinese language learners.
