본 논문은 연세대학교 120주년을 맞이하여 준공된 신학관 건물의 채플실을 중심으로 연구된 공간신학이다. 논문은 성서와 역사 속에서의 예배공간을 다루고 있고, 성찬상, 설교단, 세례반을 중심으로 한 예배공간의 요소, 회중이 적극적으로 참여하는 예배공간, 시공간의 개념을 초월한 영상스크린, 그리고 새로이 준공된 연세신학관 채플공간을 구체적으로 다루며 공간을 통한 신학교육의 방법론을 제시한다. 이를 통하여 참여적이고 창조적인 예배를 위한 공간의 필요성을 강조하고 있다.

Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea recently celebrated its 120th founding anniversary. For the part of the celebration, the College of Theology and the United Graduate School of Theology dedicated a new construction with chapel designed to host prayers for the students. This research provides guidelines in creating seminary chapel space with a sound theological balance among the word, table, and bath. The main objective is to explore the theology of worship space for the university chapel that it may help the worshippers to fully and creatively participate in liturgy for the ecumenical world as well as for the authentic Korean expressions.
