이 논문의 목표는 두 가지다. 첫째, 가구라로서의 하나마쓰리 청소년춤의 양식을 무용학적 관점에서 분석하려는 것이다. 둘째, 이 분석을 토대로 하나마쓰리의 청소년춤이 축제로서의 하나마쓰리에 어떻게 기여하는가를 논의하려는 것이다. 이 두 가지 목표를 겨냥하여 이 논문은 다음과 같이 전개될 것이다. 제2장에서 연구자는 먼저 하나마쓰리의 기본 구조를 살펴보고자 한다. 제3장에서는 하나마쓰리 청소년춤의 주요 내용과 구조를 파악하려고 한다. 이를 토대로 제4장에서는 청소년춤 각 시다이의 기본춤사위와 안무양식을 분석함으로써 청소년춤의 특징을 집약하고자 한다. 마지막으로 제5장에서는 청소년춤이 갖는 축제적 성격을 고찰하고자 한다. 축제의 기본 성격을 제의성, 통과의례성, 연행성, 놀이성이라고 전제하고, 청소년춤에서 이 네 가지 요소를 발견해 보고자 한다. 청소년춤을 이 네 가지 관점에서 분석함으로써 우리는 청소년춤이 갖는 축제적 성격을 이해하고, 궁극적으로는 우리가 제기했던 인류학적 물음에 다가갈 수 있을 것이다.
The Nature of Youth Dances of HanamatsuriIn－Sook Kang (Gyeongsang National University)Why do we dance at festivals? Why most of festivities are accompanied by dances? What is the function of the dances at the festivities? How could dances be transformed from the ritual to the artistic performances? These are main subjects of dance anthropology, and are what this thesis wants to have solutions ultimately as well. This thesis tries to find the answers of these questions through the analysis of the nature of Youth Dances of Hanamatsuri which as a Kagura is not only the most ancient Japanese ritual but also Japan's most ancient art form. The purposes of this thesis is twofold: one is to analyze the modes of Youth Dances from the point of dance studies; the other is to discuss how can it contribute to the Hanamatsuri as a Mura matsuri(town festival). For these purposes my discussion will be proceeded as follows. In chapter II, main contents and structure of Youth Dances of Hanamatsuri is explored. On the basis of it, in chapter III the basic movements and choreographies of each repertoire of Youth Dances will be analyzed, and main characteristics of those will be summarized. Finally in chapter IV I will consider four festival characteristics of Youth Dances: rituality, initiation ceremonies, artistic performance, and playing or amusements. From the above discussion, I will argue that four festival characteristics of Youth Dance contribute to the festivities of Hanamatsuri, and it would be the good reason why we dance at festivals.
