The purpose of this study was to investigate the property and quality of livestock and to calculate the amount of the each livestock wastes from various kinds of domestic animals, in addition to survey the water quality. Then examine the influence of the water quality which was suffer by the livestock wastes. This study was proceed in the Anseong stream area, during the period of a year from June 1985 to January 1986. The principle subjects of this study are those two articles that is the content of wastes from livestook which are bred in this area and the quality of water in stream and underground in this area. The experimental result was contributed to the following conclusions. The average of BOD_5 concentration of feces and urine from Korean nature cattle show respectively 24,456 mg/ℓ and 4,060 mg/ℓ and also from the beef cattle 26,478 mg/ℓ and 4,213 mg/ℓ, from the dairy cattle 20,826 mg/ℓ and 3,575 mg/ℓ, from the pig 59,875 mg/ℓ and 4,009 mg/ℓ were dected. As the unit of BOD_5 production factor contained in the feces and urine for each livestock for a day it were appeared 267 g and 14 g from Korean nature cattle, 393 g and 19 g from the beef cattle 199 g and 11 g from the dairy cattle, and from the pig 140 g and 11 g, considering the distribution rate of species, age or the body weight of livestock. The higher ratios of producted livestock wastes to the whole amount of pollution inside of the drainage area. The more amount of pollutant which flows into the stream is propotionally increased. livestock which were accumulated inside of the drainage area and flow into the stream because of rain. The TC/FC ratio of this stream water show the range of 3 to 11. Therefore the waterways in the area of Anseong stream were polluted with TC which originated from the feces ingredient. The polluted ground water with livestock wastes quite different from the unpolluted ground water. In the view of the values such as contents of EC, Cl^-, NO₃-N, SO₄", Na and K, it was more higher in polluted ground water in comparison to unpolluted ground water.During the rainfall season, this phenomenon is caused from the wastes of The distribution of bacillus existing in the livestock wastes appeared not a little in the ground water. Therefore the pollution of the ground water mainly caused by the livestock wastes and its phenomenon shows up excessively during the rainfall.
