The auther has examined 54 species of the fresh water algae from Ulneung Island. They are composed of 4 classes, 11 orders, 7 suborders, 15 families, 31 genera, 49 species, 3 varieties and 2 forma. Among them, those not previously reported in Korea are 4 species.
