The auther has examined 124 species of the fresh-water algae from Chung chong Do area. They are composed of 6 classes, 16 orddrs, 3 suborders, 32 families, 59 genera, 107 species, 15 varieties and 2 forma. Among them, those not previously reported in Korea are 10 species, 4 varieties.
