젖소의 번식형질에 대한 유전모수의 추정
Estimation of Genetic Parameters for Reproduction Traits of Dairy Cattle

Four thousand eighty reproduction records(3,063 cow records and 1,017 heifer records) of Holsteins bom between 1984 and 1993 collected by National Livestock Research Institute, Kyeonggi Animal Breeding Station and Kangwon Animal Breeding Station were analyzed to estimate genetic parameters for reproduction traits(days open, gestation length, calving interval, months to lint service and months to first pregnancy). Means of each reproduction trait showed that days open, gestation length were 133.3, 280.4days, and calving interval, months to first service and months to first pregnancy were 13.4, 16.2, and 17.1 months respectively. Heritabilities for days open, gestation length and calving interval were 0.0232, 0.1414 and 0.0194 respectively and repeatabilities for those were 0.0430, 0.1414 and 0.052.5 respectively. Heritabilities for months to first service and first pregnancy in heifer were 0.1514 and 0.0738 respectively. Phenotypic and genetic correlation of 0.9673 and 0.9319 for days open and calving interval were highest, while those for months to first service and first pregnancy in heifer were 0.7169 and 0.6559. The remarkable genetic trends for reproduction traits were not shown.
