This experiment was conducted to evaluate the characteristic of fiber, cell wall-nitrogen and dry matter digestibility (DMD) of Robinia pseudo acacia, lespedeza bisolor and Pueria thunbergiana grown in mountainous area. The materials were separated into leaves and petioles or stem (Pueria thunbergiana) samples, and they were dried at 80℃ for 24 hr and ground to pass a 1-㎜ screen. Samples were subjected to the determination of the neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF), acid detergent lignin (ADL), NDF-nitrogen, ADF-nitrogen and DMD by pepsin-cellulase technique, whereas corrected-ADF, corrected-NDF and corrected hemicellulose were calculated, and energy values were calculated by DMD of pepsin-cellulase technique. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The NDF of shrubby leaves and petioles or stem were ranged 52.33%-59.05% and 67.20%-73.95%, respectively, and the NDF was increased significantly by advanced stage of maturity (p$lt;0.01). 2. The ADF of shrubby leaves and petioles or stem were ranged 28.88%-45.13% and 47.06-54.11%, respectively, and the ADF was increased significantly by advanced stage of maturity (p$lt;0.01). 3. The ADL of shrubby leaves and petioles or stem were ranged 4.54%-8.52% and 12.90%-17.53%, respectively, and the ADL was increased significantly by advanced stage of maturity (P$lt;0.01). 4. The protein of shrubby leaves and petioles or stem were ranged 16.57%-30.04% and 8.23%-17.16%, respectively, and the crude protein shrubby leaves and stem for Pueria thunbergiana was decreased, but the other chemical compositions were not decreased by advanced stage of maturity. 5. The NDF-protein (N × 6.25) of shrubby leaves and petioles or stem were ranged 21.68%-33.30% and 6.75%-10.28%, respectively, and the ADF-protein was not effected by advanced stage of maturity. 6. The ADF-protein (N × 6.25) of shrubby leaves and petioles or stem were ranged 5.35%-14.53% and 3.69%-5.74%, respectively, and the ADF-protein was not affected by advanced stage of maturity. 7. The ADS-protein of shrubby leaves petioles or stem were higher than that of NDS-protein. 8. The DMD of shrubby leaves and petioles or stem were ranged 49.55%-59.51% and 42.29%-48.38%, respectively, and they were decreased significantly by advanced stage of maturity (P$lt;0.01). 9. The estimated energy (DE, TDN and ME) values of shrubby leaves and petioles or stem were decreased by advanced stage of maturity.
