Presen study was conducted to compare various phosphorus sources in promoting the growth of lambs, to determine nutrient digestion parameters. Phosphorus sources used in lamb trials were mono ammonium phosphate (MAP), dicalcium phosphate (DCP), tricalcium phosphate ( TCP) and TCP + Urea. Feeding trials as metabolic well as trial and determination of blood parameters were conducted. Results obtained are summarized as follows. 1. Of the various phosphate sources used in lambs studies, TCP had a slight advantage in body weight gain. 2. Feed efficiency in sheep fed MAP and TCP appeared to be higher than those fed DCP and TCP + Urea, but was not significantly different. 3. Plasma Ca, P and urea content were erratic and no consistent trends were observed. 4. Phosphorus sources did not affect nutrient digestion and nitrogen retention significantly.
