The present study was conducted to assess bioavailabilities of various sources of inorganic phosphates for broiler chicks. Phosphorus sources used in this study were tricalcium phosphate (TCP), cicalcium phosphate (DCP), bone meal (BM), and monoammonium phosphate (MAP). Feeding trials as well as digestion trials and determination of bone and blood parameters were conducted. Of the various phosphate sources used in this trial, bone meal was found to have a slightly better effecton body weight gain during the early phase (0-3 wks) of the feeding trials. There were no significant differences in growth rate among other three inorganic phosphates. The advantage of BM obtained during the early feeding period was not observed in the latter period of experiment, and MAP and DCP promoted slightly better growth than BM in the finishing period (6-9 wks). Parameters of blood and bone, digestibility and utilization of nutrients were interrelated each other, but had little correlation with growth rate.
