This experiment was carried out to study the effects of cutting frequency and N fertilization on the total nitrogen yield of orchardgrass varieties with different maturity. The results are summarized as follows; 1. Total nitrogen yield response to N fertilization levels was almost linear up to about 320 ㎏/㏊ with four cuttings (C-4), but the response of two cuttings(C-2) increased quadratically up to the 320 ㎏/㏊ level. 2. The interactions of cutting frequency × N level and N level × variety were significant in this experiment. 3. Total nitrogen yield of C-2 was increased only by 8% than C-4. 4. Total nitrogen yield of C-2 was estimated that the predictable highest yields could be obtained at about 708 ㎏/㏊ level. 5. Average increase in total nitrogen yield of six varieties increased by 0.63 ㎏ TN/㎏ N(ranged from 0.55 ㎏ - 0.67 ㎏) for C-2 and 0.57 ㎏ TN/㎏ N(0.53 ㎏ - 0.63 ㎏) for C-4. 6. Kitamidori showed a high efficiency of N utilization under both of cutting frequency.
