The changes in some blood components were observed in Korean native male goats of 6 to 7 months old. Combelen of 1 ㎎/㎏ body weight was injected intramuscularly to 6 goats. Blood samples were collected from the jugular veins of the animals at an interval of 0, 1, 2, 4 , 8, 24 and 48 hours after combelen was administered. The erythrocyte counts, hemoglobin concentration, packed cell volume and total leucocyte counts were slightly decreased after administration of combelen as compared with pre- administration of combelen. However, these components were not significantly affected by the interval of blood collection after combelen was administered. In the differential leucocyte counts, eosinophils were decreased after combelen was injected and was lowest in 4 hours. This component was significantly (p$lt;0.05) affected by the interval of blood collection after combelen was injected but other components of differential leucocyte counts were not greatly changed. Serum protein and serum globulin were slightly decreased after combelen was injected. Serum albumin and A/G ratio were slightly increased. However, these components were not significantly affected by the interval of blood collection after combelen was injected. Blood glucose was gradually increased after combelen was injected and was highest in 4 hours. And blood glucose was significantly (p$lt;0.01) affected by the interval of blood collection.
