To study the mold inhibiting capacity of Feednectar this experiment was carried out with pig rations added Feednectar at the level of 0%, 0.05% and 0.1% during a period of 4 weeks. The results obtained are as follows: 1. Through the spore composition of tested diet, the molds isolated from feed were Aspergillus, Penicillium, Mucor and Neurospora. It was found that Aspergillus and Penicillium group were more dominant than other groups. More A. flavus was found than A. niger indicating thai these molds can grow at any level of moisture content of feeds. 2. Feednectar exerted mold control power regardless of moisture content of diets tested. 3. Nutrient loss was significantly less for Feednectar added feed than control diet or sugar contained diet. 4. It was found that more than 50% of molds isolated from feed could produce aflatoxin.
