Thirty-five crossbreds between Landrace and Large white or Hampshire were employed to investigate the effect of feeding 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% of dried poultry waste and dried cow manure to growing-finishing swine. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. It was found that daily gain, feed consumption and feed efficiency were slightly depressed as the level of the substitution of dried animal wastes for wheat bran increased. 2. Carcass characteristics were not significantly affected by feeding dried animal wastes upto 30%. However, data indicated that backfat thickness was thinner for animals fed dried animal wastes than control group, 3. Digestibility of dry matter and crude protein decreased as the level of dried animal wastes in the rations increased, but digestibility of other nutrients were not shown to be affected. 4. Feed cost required per kilogram of body weight gain was less expensive in control group than the other animal wastes group. It could be concluded that dried animal wastes may be used in growing-finishing swine rations upto 10% without any adverse effects.
