The present experiments were conducted to investigate the possibility on the feed-lot feeding of Korean Heifer Cattle. 20 heads whose body weight ranged from 147 to 178㎏ were divided into two groups; 10 heads for feed-lot feeding and the other 10 heads for the stall feeding. Then the experiments were carried out for 212 days from November to May of the next year in the cold winter season. The results of the studies are summarized as follows: 1. Average-body gains were 0.473㎏ and 0.313㎏ for the feed-lot feeding and the stall feeding respectively. 2. Feed consumptions required per㎏ body gain of the feed-lot feeding were 6.40㎏ and 9.65㎏ for the concentrates and the roughages respectively (counted by hay base). Then the total consumption was 16.05㎏. In the case of the stall feeding, 4.84㎏ of the concentrates, 13.20㎏ of the roughages, and the total were 18.04㎏. TDN for the feed-lot feeding and stall feeding were 10.68㎏ and 12.41㎏ respectively. 3. During the experimental period, temperature was recorded from 0℃ to -9℃ for 117 days and -10℃ to -16℃ for 13 days. Rain falls were 19 days, and its maximum fall was 11.6 ㎜. Snow falls were 27 days and its maximum fall was 60mm. In general the wind was recorded as rather severe than the average. 4. The economical analysis showed that the feed cost per ㎏ body gain, the feed-lot feeding and the stall feeding were 192.2 won and 186.0 won for the later respectively. However, the evaluation based on the cost analysis involving such cost as barn, interest, management wages including the feed cost revealed that the feed-lot feeding was more economical than that of the stall feeding.
