This vegetation survey was made to acquire the basic data which can improve the native grassland around Mt. Ziri. One hundred ㏊. square were survey in five districts. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Most of the areas were generally dominated by the grass family such as Arundinella hirta and Miscanthus purpurascens. In the frequency Lespedeza cuneata and Cassia nomame were less dominated. 2. The most dominant species were Arundinella hirta 39.32%, Miscanthus purpurascens 23.42%. In the coverage Miscanthus purpurascens and Arundinella hirta were 27.10% and 19.42%, respectively. 3. The yield of the native grasses ranged between 994 ㎏. and 1560 ㎏. per 10 a. The grasslands required for grazing was usually 13 a. per Korean cattle per month.
