This experiment was conducted to study the effects of level of dietary protein and energy on the growth rate, feed intake and feed conversion of chicks. One hundred and eight male Chicks of Leghorn was used for 56 days. Starter ration (C.P-17, 20, and 23%; ME-1030, 1200, and 1370 ㎉/lb)f was fed to chicks from 3 age to 6 age of weeks, and finisher ration(C.P-14, 17 and 20%; ME-1000, 1215 and 1280 ㎉/lb) was fed to chicks from to 10 age of weeks. The results obtained from present study may be summarized as follows; 1. As the level of dietary protein of energy increased, average daily gain and final empty body weight were increased significantly. 2. Amounts of feed consumed was significantly higher as the level of dietary protein increased. In feed conversion, chicks fed higher protein or higher energy were much superior to the chicks fed lover protein or lower energy. 3. There was no influence of dietary protein or energy level on the Chicks mortality. 4. Feed cost per kilogram of full body weight was decreased as the dietary energy level decreased. 5. In the view point of economical analysis for experimental diet, the treatment of C. was much superior to that of others.
