This experiment was conducted to determine the effects of the various water content of some silage crops, in the silage process, on the quality of silage. Five experimental lots were designed according to the water content of silage crops. Two silage crops used were corn rich in starch and clover rich in protein. The results obtained were as follows: 1. As the content of water in the silage crop increases, the loss of nutrients in the silage also increases. 2. As the water content of silage crop increases, the higher value of pH and the content of organic acids in silage were found. 3. The more amount of water the silage crops had, the less spoilage and the higher quality with superior color and flavor of silage were observed.
