A comparative experiment of imported pasture plants has been made to assess their adaptability to soil and climate of Korea. The results obtained are as follows; 1) Over the 3 year;, of the experiment, Mammothy Red clover, Lorain Timothy, S-37 Orchard grass, Victorian Perennial rye grass and Tetrone Italian rye grass gave the highest yield of green weight within their species and the average annual yields of those Varieties were 3.910, 3.165, 3.109, 2.202, and 3.056 ㎏/10a., respectively. 2) Medium red clover, Timothy Originated from Japan, Billoia Italian rye grass, Victorian Perennial rye grass, Wisconsin Orchard grass and Orchard grass originated from Japan gave the highest seed production within their species and the average annual seed production of those varieties were 15.3, 23.2, 68.0, 45.6, and 49.5, ㎏/10a., respectively. There were no considerable differences between their annual yields of Red clover and Timothy varieties, but considerable difference between the early and late growing characters of Perennial rye grass was observed. The results indicated that NewZealand Timothy was early variety and S-51 Timottry late, and S-37 and Sandia Potomac Orchard grass were suited for growing in this country.
